USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9740; (P) 0.9770; (R1) 0.9819; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays on the upside despite loss of upside momentum. Current rally should target next medium term projection level at 0.9864. On the downside, however, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9669 minor support should indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper pull back.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 100% projection of 0.8756 to 0.9471 from 0.9149 at 0.9864. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.9459 resistance turned support holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9130; (P) 0.9145; (R1) 0.9174; More….

USD/CHF’s rally continues today and breaks 0.9146/60 cluster resistance. There is no sign of topping yet, and intraday bias stays on the upside. Next target is 0.9439 resistance. On the downside, below 0.9117 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations, before staging another rally.

In the bigger picture, sustained trading above 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160) will argue that rise from 0.8551 is reversing whole down trend from 1.0146. Further rally would then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.9537 and above. For now, this will be the favored case as long as 55 D EMA (now at 0.8905) holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8573; (P) 0.8630; (R1) 0.8667; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. Current fall from 0.9243 should target 0.8551 key support next. On the upside, above 0.8710 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again first. But outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.8819 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Strong support should be seen 0.8551 to bring rebound. Meanwhile, break of 0.9111 resistance will argue that the third leg has started already, and target 0.9243.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9627; (P) 0.9671; (R1) 0.9720; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF turned neutral with 4 hour MACD crossed above signal line. Another fall cannot be ruled out. But decline from 1.0048 is viewed as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.0063. Strong support should be seen at around 0.9543 to contain downside to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9815 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0050; (P) 1.0089; (R1) 1.0110; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation below 1.0128 temporary top. Another rally is expected as long as 0.9952 support holds. On the upside, break of 1.0128 would resume larger rise from 0.9186 and target 1.0342 key resistance. However, firm break of 0.9952 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper fall.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading. However, firm break of 0.9848 near term support will dampen this view and bring deeper decline back to 0.9541 support and possibly below.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9840; (P) 0.9868; (R1) 0.9884; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Focus remains on 0.9841 support. Break there will complete a head and shoulder top pattern (ls: 0.9983; h: 1.0027; rs: 0.9970). That should indicate completion of whole rise from 0.9659 and turn outlook bearish for retesting this low. On the upside, above 0.9970 will bring retest of 1.0027 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9286; (P) 0.9330; (R1) 0.9353; More

USD/CHF recovered notably after brief breach of 0.9289 resistance turned support, and intraday bias is turned neutral first. The favored case is still that corrective rebound from 0.9058 has completed at 0.9439, ahead of 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474. Sustained break of 0.9289 resistance turned support will pave the way to retest 0.9058 low. However, break of 0.9358 minor resistance will revive near term bullishness and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9439 again.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0146 is seen as part of a long term sideway pattern. As long as 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 holds, another fall is in favor through 0.9058. However, sustained trading above 0.9474 will indicate that the medium term trend has reversed, and open up further rally to 61.8% retracement at 0.9730 and above.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8809; (P) 0.8860; (R1) 0.8892; More….

USD/CHF decline is still in progress and intraday bias remains neutral. Rise from 0.8332 could have completed at 0.9223, ahead of 0.9243 key resistance. Further fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8672 next. On the upside, above 0.8880 will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.8992 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance affirms this case, and maintains medium term bearishness. While more range trading could be seen between 0.8332/0.9243 first, downside break out is mildly in favor at a later stage.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9360; (P) 0.9398; (R1) 0.9465; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with current recovery. Considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9545 will indicate short term bottoming at 0.9325. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9669). On the downside, below 0.9325 will target 0.9287 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 day EMA (now at 0.9690) holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8839; (P) 0.8859; (R1) 0.8898; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidations above 0.8819 temporary low. But further decline is expected as long as 0.9049 resistance holds. Break of 0.8819 will resume the fall from 0.9223 to 60% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8672 next.

In the bigger picture, with 0.9243 resistance intact, medium term outlook in USD/CHF is neutral at best. For now, more sideway trading is likely between 0.8332/9243. However, firm break of 0.9243 will indicate larger bullish trend reversal.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8895; (P) 0.8924; (R1) 0.8960; More….

USD/CHF is extending the consolidation from 0.8886 and intraday bias remains neutral. Further decline is expected as long as 0.9000 resistance holds. Below 0.8886 will resume the fall from 0.9243 to 61.8% retracement of 0.8551 to 0.9243 at 0.8815 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.8551 low. Nevertheless, break of 0.9000 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 55 D EMA (now at 0.8974) argues that rebound from 0.8551 might be completed as a correction at 0.9243. In other words, larger fall from 1.0146 (2022 high) is possibly not over yet. Risk will now stay on the downside as long as 0.9243 resistance holds. Firm break of 0.8551 will confirm down trend resumption.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9214; (P) 0.9262; (R1) 0.9294; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. As long as 0.9214 support holds, further rally is in favor. On the upside, break of 0.9367 will resume the rise from 0.8925 to 0.9471 key resistance next. On the downside, however, break of 0.9214 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support again.

In the bigger picture, the strong rally above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9188) now tilts favor to the case of bullish trend reversal. That is, decline from 1.3042 (2016 high) is probably completed at 0.8756 already. Sustained break of 0.9471 resistance should confirm this case and pave the way to retest 1.0342 ahead. However, rejection by 0.9471 will mix up the outlook again and retain some medium term bearishness.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9943; (P) 0.9984; (R1) 1.0004; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. As noted before, rise from 0.9443 has completed at 1.0342 already, after failing to sustain above 1.0327 key resistance. Fall from there would now target 61.8% retracement of 0.9443 to 1.0342 at 0.9786 and below. On the upside, break of 1.0121 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, near term outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still expect the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9503; (P) 0.9569; (R1) 0.9614; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. Current fall from 1.0342 should target 0.9443 key support level next. At this point, we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9562 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. Nonetheless, break of 0.9699 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9890; (P) 0.9957; (R1) 1.0011; More

Break of 0.9983 suggests resumption of rally from 0.9659. More importantly, corrective decline from 1.0237 should have completed too. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 61.8% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9659 at 1.0016 and then 78.6% retracement at 1.0113. On the downside, break of 0.9843 support is needed to signal short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain cautiously bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Sustained break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9332; (P) 0.9385; (R1) 0.9417; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. Some more consolidations could be seen below 0.9471. But overall outlook will remain bullish as long as 0.9221 support holds. On the upside, sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 will extend the rise from 0.8756 towards 0.9901 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0237 should have completed at 0.8756, on bullish condition in daily and weekly MACD. Current rally from 0.8756 should target 0.9901 resistance first. Break there will target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone in the medium term. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.9044 resistance turned support holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9141; (P) 0.9167; (R1) 0.9205; More….

USD/CHF rises mildly in early US session, but stays in range of 0.9098/9241. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 0.9241 resistance should resume the rise from 0.8925 through 0.9273. On the downside, break of 0.9098 will target 0.9017 support first. Further break there will likely resume the decline from 0.9471 through 0.8925 low.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9180) retains medium term bearishness in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9798; (P) 0.9843; (R1) 0.9895; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. Corrective decline from 1.0056 could still extend lower. But in that case, we’d expect strong support from 0.9724 fibonacci level to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9911 will argue that the pull back from 1.0056 has completed. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0056.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8900; (P) 0.8929; (R1) 0.8972; More

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral. While down trend from 1.0146 could still extend lower, strong support should be seen from 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9058 from 0.9439 at 0.8767, which is close to 0.8756 long term support, to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. On the upside, break of 0.8993 resistance will indicate short term bottoming, on bullish convergence condition in 4H MACD, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound to 55 D EMA (now at 0.9054) and possibly above.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal. Sustained break of 0.9058 support turned resistance will be the first sign of medium term bottoming. However, decisive break of 0.8756 will carry larger bearish implications.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF surged to as high as 1.0237 last week but formed a temporary top there and retreated. Initial bias remains neutral this week for some consolidations first. Downside should be contained by 1.0130 minor support to bring rise resumption. Prior break of 1.0128 resistance confirmed resumption of up trend from 0.9186. On the upside, above 1.0237 will target 100% projection of 0.9716 to 1.0124 from 0.9879 at 1.0287, and then 1.0342 key resistance. However, break of 1.0130 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper retreat first.

In the bigger picture, medium term up trend from 0.9186 is extending. Current rise should target 1.0342 resistance next. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside, until we see medium term upside acceleration. On the downside, break of 0.9879 support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of deep pull back.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.
