USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.9951 last week was rejected by 55 day EMA and reversed since then. Rebound from 0.9695 should have completed already. Initial bias is back on the downside this week for retesting 0.9695 low first. On the upside, above 0.9951 will extend the rebound from 0.9695. In that case, upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9695 at 1.0030.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. However, sustained break of 1.0014 will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.0237 high.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9217; (P) 0.9228; (R1) 0.9245; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation below 0.9241 temporary top. Outlook is unchanged that corrective fall from 0.9273 should have completed at 0.9017. Above 0.9241 will target 0.9273 resistance. Firm break there will resume rise from 0.8925 to 100% projection of 0.8925 to 0.9273 from 0.9017 at 0.9365. However, break of 0.9128 will dampen this bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9184) retains medium term bearish in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9809; (P) 0.9836; (R1) 0.9858; More

With 0.9863 minor resistance intact, intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside. Rebound from 0.9659 should have completed already. Deeper fall would be seen to retest this low. On the upside, above 0.9863 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s decline from 1.0146 extended further to 0.9214 last week but recovered again. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the downside. break of 0.9214 will resume the fall and target 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9355 from 0.9545 at 0.9056. However, break of 0.9378 resistance will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9545 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.9545 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, long term sideway pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high) is extending and it’s probably in another medium term down leg. Downside will likely be contained by 0.8756 support in case of deeper fall. Overall, range trading should continue until further development.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9167; (P) 0.9206; (R1) 0.9249; More

Current development argues that USD/CHF’s corrective rebound from 0.8998 has completed with three waves up to 0.9304. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for retesting 0.8998 low. On the upside, break of 0.9244 will likely resume the rebound through 0.9304, to 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8998 at 0.9343.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9376 support turned resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9189; (P) 0.9215; (R1) 0.9250; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with the current retreat. ON the downside, break of 0.9149 will turn focus to 0.9098 support. Break there will target further decline to 0.9017 support. On the upside, break of 0.9239/41 will target 0.9273 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still struggling around 55 week EMA (now at 0.9178) and outlook is mixed for now. Confirmed rejection by the 55 week EMA will retain medium term bearishness. That is, larger fall from 1.0342 would resume through 0.8756 low at a later stage. However, sustained trading above 55 week EMA will tilt favor to the case of bullish reversal. Focus would then be turned to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9803; (P) 0.9822; (R1) 0.9840; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Further decline is in favor with 0.9908 resistance intact. Below 0.9803 will extend the fall from 0.9951 to retest 0.9695 low. On the upside, break of 0.9908 resistance would resume the rebound from 0.9695, through 0.9951, to 1.0014 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8880; (P) 0.8906; (R1) 0.8951; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as sideway trading continues. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9001 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 0.8850. Intraday bias will be back on the upside 55 D EMA (now at 0.9094). Sustained break there will be a strong sign of bullish reversal. On the downside, break of 0.8850 will resume larger fall from 1.0146, to 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9058 from 0.9439 at 0.8767, which is close to 0.8756 long term support. Strong support is expected there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is in progress for 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, this fall is still seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal. Sustained break of 0.9058 support turned resistance will be the first sign of medium term bottoming. However, decisive break of 0.8756 will carry larger bearish implications.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9095; (P) 0.9130; (R1) 0.9168; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. Outlook stays bearish with 0.9161 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 0.8998 support will resume larger down trend to 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9181 from 0.9901 at 0.8845. However, sustained break of 0.9161 will confirm short term bottoming, and turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound, to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9228) and above.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low), which is still extending. Sustained trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8753; (P) 0.8806; (R1) 0.8837; More….

USD/CHF’s retreat from 0.8874 extended lower but stays above 0.8758 support. Intraday bias remains neutral first and further rally remains in favor to continue. On the upside, break of 0.8874 will resume the rise from 0.8551 to 0.9146 cluster resistance next. Nevertheless, break of 0.8758 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.8688 support and below.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.8551 medium term bottom is currently seen as a correction to the downtrend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rally would be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160). Strong resistance could be seen there to limit upside, at least on first attempt. Nevertheless, medium term outlook is neutral at best as long as 0.8551 holds, until further developments.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8954; (P) 0.8966; (R1) 0.8987; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. As noted before, rebound from 0.8825 could have completed at 0.9049, after rejection by falling channel resistance. Below 0.8942 will bring deeper fall to 0.8825 support. Nevertheless, break of 0.9049 will revive near term bullishness and resume the rebound from 0.8825 instead.

In the bigger picture, focus remains on 0.9223/9243 resistance zone. Decisive break there would suggest larger bullish trend reversal and turn outlook bullish. Nevertheless, rejection by 0.9223/43 will keep medium term outlook neutral at best, for more range trading between 0.8332/9243 first.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF rebounded further to 0.9848 last week but failed to break 38.2% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9613 at 0.9851 and retreated sharply. Initial bias is neutral this week. On the downside, break of 0.9741 will suggest rejection by 0.9851 and retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9613 low. On the upside, sustained break of 0.9851 will add to the case of bullish near term reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9999 next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8655; (P) 0.8683; (R1) 0.8700; More….

Outlook in USD/CHF is unchanged. Intraday bias stays neutral as consolidation from 0.8629 might extend further. But further decline is expected with 0.8819 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 0.8629 will resume larger fall from 0.9243 to retest 0.8551 key support next. On the upside, however, firm break of 0.8819 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Strong support should be seen 0.8551 to bring rebound. Meanwhile, break of 0.9111 resistance will argue that the third leg has started already, and target 0.9243.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9615; (P) 0.9646; (R1) 0.9676; More…..

USD/CHF is staying in tight range above 0.9613 temporary low for the moment and intraday bias stays neutral first. Deeper decline is still expected as long as 0.9807 resistance holds. But in case of deeper fall, we’d start to look for bottoming signal again as it approaches 0.9443 key support level. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9807 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 1.0099 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF’s rally from 0.9369 is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the upside for 0.9884 resistance. Break there will argue that larger up trend is ready for resumption through 1.0063. On the downside, below 0.9576 minor support will dampen this view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9369 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.0063 will target 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9369 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral. Choppy rise from 0.8925 would still be in favor to extend higher as long as 0.9090 support holds. Break of 0.9341 will target 0.9372 resistance and then 0.9471. On the downside, however, break of 0.9090 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8925 support.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9287; (P) 0.9329; (R1) 0.9355; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, firm break of 0.9380 should confirm that fall from 0.9459 has completed with three wave down to 0.9193. Such development will revive near term bullishness and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9459 and then 0.9471 resistance. On the downside, below 0.9280 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.9193 support next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that whole down trend form 1.0342 (2016 high), has completed with waves down to 0.8756. A medium term up trend should be set up to target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9707; (P) 0.9739; (R1) 0.9774; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral with focus on 0.9704 resistance turned support. Considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9704 will argue that rebound from 0.9420 has completed. This will also mixed up the near term outlook and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9587 support. On the upside, break of 0.9835 will extend the rebound to 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could develop into a medium term move and target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9587 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

Intraday bias remains mildly on the upside at this point. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262 will pave the way to retest 0.9471 resistance. On the downside, break of 0.9141 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high. But, rejection by 0.9471 again will revive bearishness for another fall through 0.8756 low.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9694; (P) 0.9719; (R1) 0.9750; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and consolidation from 0.9646 might extend. Further fall is expected as long as 0.9770 resistance holds. Break of 0.9646 will resume whole decline form 1.0237 and target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9659 from 1.0023 at 0.9445. Nevertheless, on the upside, break of 0.9770 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9848) instead.
