USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s fall from 1.1046 resumed by breaching 0.9325 last week. Immediate focus is now on 0.9287 fibonacci level this week. Decisive break there will target 0.9149 structural support next. On the upside, though, break of 0.9454 resistance will now indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9545 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 day EMA (now at 0.9630) holds.

In the long term picture, long term sideway pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high) is extending and it’s probably in another medium term down leg. Downside will likely be contained by 0.8756 support in case of deeper fall. Overall, range trading should continue until further development.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9243; (P) 0.9273; (R1) 0.9296; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point and sideway trading could continue. Choppy rise from 0.8925 would still be in favor to extend higher as long as 0.9090 support holds. Break of 0.9341 will target 0.9372 resistance and then 0.9471. On the downside, however, break of 0.9090 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8925 support.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9679; (P) 0.9699; (R1) 0.9716; More

Outlook in USD/CHF remains unchanged. Intraday bias stays neutral as consolidation form 0.9613 is in progress. Upside should be limited by 0.9762 resistance to bring down trend resumption. Below 0.9661 minor support will bring retest of 0.9613 low first. Break will target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9659 from 1.0023 at 0.9445. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9762 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for stronger rebound to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9781).

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9123; (P) 0.9182; (R1) 0.9235; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with today’s retreat. But rebound from 0.9056 short term top is still in favor to continue with 0.9121 minor support holds. Break of 0.9241 will target 0.9376 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.9056 at 0.9379). But upside should be limited there to bring another decline. On the downside, below 0.9121 minor support will bring retest of 0.9056 low. However, sustained break of 0.9376/9 will bring stronger rally to 61.8% retracement at 0.9578.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). Current development suggests that such pattern is still extending. Sustain trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9911; (P) 0.9940; (R1) 0.9962; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is neutral for the moment with 4 hour MACD trending up. At this point, with 0.9999 minor resistance intact, deeper fall is still in favor. Below 0.9897 temporary low will turn bias to the downside for 0.9812 and possibly below. Nonetheless, whole decline from 1.0342 is seen as a correction. Hence, we’ll look for bottoming signal below 0.9812. Meanwhile, on the upside, above 0.9999 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0107 resistance.

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the cross. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s fall from 0.9146 extended lower last week after interim recovery. Overall outlook is unchanged that rebound from 0.8818 has completed at 0.9146. Initial bias remains on the downside this week for 0.8818 and possibly below. But strong support is still expected from 0.8756 to bring reversal. On the upside, above 0.8983 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high), which might have completed at 0.8818 already, just ahead of 0.8756 long term support. Sustained trading above 0.9058 support turned resistance should confirm medium term bottoming.

In the long term picture, long term sideway pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high) is expected to continue between 0.8756/1.0342. However, sustained break of 0.8756 will open up deeper fall back towards 0.7065 (2011 low).

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8555; (P) 0.8616; (R1) 0.8650; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. Current down trend should target 100% projection of 0.9439 to 0.8818 from 0.9146 at 0.8525 next. On the upside, above 0.8683 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first. But outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.8900 support turned resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, the break of 0.8756 (2021 low) indicates break out from the long term range pattern. For now, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9146 resistance holds. Further fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317 next.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8983; (P) 0.9020; (R1) 0.9091; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside at this point. Current rebound from 0.8756 should target 100% projection of 0.8756 to 0.9044 from 0.8869 at 0.9127 next. On the downside, below 0.9032 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral again first.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9295 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0011; (P) 1.0027; (R1) 1.0044; More…..

USD/CHF surges sharply today but stays below 1.0118 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Near term outlook stays cautiously bullish as long as 0.9929 minor support holds. Fall from 1.0342 could have finished at 0.9860 already. Above 1.0118 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0342. However, break of 0.9929 will likely extend the decline from 1.0342 through 0.9860 low.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection from 1.0327 resistance argues that USD/CHF is staying in a medium term sideway pattern. In any case, decisive break of 1.0342 resistance is needed to confirm underlying strength. Otherwise, we’ll stay neutral in the pair first. In case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.9443/9548 support zone. Meanwhile firm break of 1.0342 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9987; (P) 1.0022; (R1) 1.0060; More

Outlook in USD/CHF remains unchanged. With 0.9982 minor support intact, intraday bias stays on the upside for further rally. Sustained trading above 1.0037 will pave the way to 1.0342 key resistance next. On the downside, though, below 0.9982 minor support will indicate short term topping. And, in that case, deeper retreat could be seen to 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9939) and below before staging another rise.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 0.9648 resistance turned support holds, even in case of pull back.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9079; (P) 0.9101; (R1) 0.9115; More

Further decline is expected in USD/CHF with 0.9197 resistance intact. Firm break of 0.8998 low will resume larger down trend. Next target will be 61.8% projection of 0.9901 to 0.8998 from 0.9304 at 0.8746 next. On the upside, break of 0.9197 resistance is needed to indicate completion of the fall from 0.9304. Otherwise, outlook will remain mildly bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9376 support turned resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9940; (P) 0.9962; (R1) 0.9997; More

USD/CHF drops sharply after failing to sustain above 0.9975 key resistance. But it’s holding above 0.9854 support. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9975 will confirm completion of fall form 1.0237. Further rally would then be seen to retest this high. On the downside, though, break of 0.9854 will turn intraday bias to the downside for 0.9659 low.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8965; (P) 0.8978; (R1) 0.8991; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. As noted before, rebound from 0.8825 could have completed at 0.9049, after rejection by falling channel resistance. Below 0.8942 will bring deeper fall to 0.8825 support. Nevertheless, break of 0.9049 will revive near term bullishness and resume the rebound from 0.8825 instead.

In the bigger picture, focus remains on 0.9223/9243 resistance zone. Decisive break there would suggest larger bullish trend reversal and turn outlook bullish. Nevertheless, rejection by 0.9223/43 will keep medium term outlook neutral at best, for more range trading between 0.8332/9243 first.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9224; (P) 0.9240; (R1) 0.9257; More….

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Further rise will remain mildly in favor as long as 0.9090 support holds. break of 0.9372 will resume the choppy rally from 0.8925 to 0.9471 high. However, break of 0.9090 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.8925 support instead.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s rebound from 0.9186 resumed last week by taking out 0.9490 resistance. The head and shoulder bottom formation (ls: 0.9254, h: 0.9186, rs: 0.9337) suggests near term reversal. Initial bias remain son the upside this week for 100% projection of 0.9186 to 0.9490 from 0.9337 at 0.9641 first. On the downside, break of 0.9337 minor support is needed to indicate completion of the rebound. Otherwise, near term outlook will be cautiously bullish even in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Current development is raising the chance that it is completed. But there is no confirmation yet. Focus will now be back on 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 (2016 high) to 0.9186 (2018 low) at 0.9626. Sustained break there will add much credence to the case of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9900 and above). However, rejection from 0.9626 will maintain medium term bearishness for another low below 0.9186.

In the long term picture, at this point, the long term decline from 1.0342 is still in favor to extend lower to 0.8698 key support. But sustained break of above mentioned 0.9626 will turn focus back to 1.0037/0342 resistance zone.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9707; (P) 0.9742; (R1) 0.9791; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9695 temporary low. Upside of recovery should be limited by 0.9854 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, below 0.9659 will target 0.9587 fibonacci level. Nevertheless, break of 0.9854 will indicate short term bottoming and target 1.0014 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, current development confirms that up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) has completed at 1.0237 already. With 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9836 taken out, deeper fall should be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.9587 and below. We’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9938; (P) 0.9968; (R1) 0.9985; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for 0.9812 support and below. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as a correction. Hence, we’ll look for bottoming signal below 0.9812. Meanwhile, on the upside, above 0.9999 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0107 resistance instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9148; (P) 0.9185; (R1) 0.9234; More

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral. Corrective pattern from 0.9058 low is extending. Another rise cannot be ruled out, but upside should be limited by 0.9474 fibonacci level. On the downside, firm break of 0.9058 will resume larger down trend from 1.1046.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) should still be in progress with 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 intact. Prior rejection by 55 week EMA was a medium term bearish sign. Break of 0.9058 will resume such decline towards 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, this fall is still as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9818; (P) 0.9844; (R1) 0.9869; More….

USD/CHF recovery from 0.9776 is in progress but kept well below 0.9946 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Also, with 0.9946 intact, fall from 1.0037 is still expected to extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9656. We’ll look for bottoming again below 0.9656 and above 0.9420. On the upside, break of 0.9946 resistance will indicate that the decline from 1.0037 has completed and bring retest of this resistance.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 0.9116 support will affirm the case that rebound from 0.8925 has completed at 0.9273. Deeper fall would then be seen back to retest 0.8925 low. On the upside, however, break of 0.9273 and sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262 will target 0.9471 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high. But, rejection by 0.9471 again will revive bearishness for another fall through 0.8756 low.
