USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9901; (P) 0.9924; (R1) 0.9942; More….

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation from 0.9990 and intraday bias remains neutral. In case of deeper fall, downside should be contained by 0.9856 resistance turn support to bring another rally. As note before, corrective pull back from 1.0128 has completed at 0.9716 already. Above 0.9990 will extend the rise from 0.9716 to retest 1.0128 high.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Break of 0.9963 will affirm this bullish case. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8669; (P) 0.8694; (R1) 0.8731; More….

Break of 0.8272 resistance suggest that USD/CHF’s rebound from 0.8332 is resuming. Intraday bias is back on the upside. Further rally should be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9243 to 0.8332 at 0.8995 next. On the downside, below 0.8689 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the upside as long as 0.8550 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, there is prospect of medium term bottoming at 0.8332 considering possible bullish convergence condition in W MACD, and the support from 0.8317 long term fibonacci support. Sustained trading above 55 D EMA (now at 0.8672) will affirm this case, and bring stronger rise back towards 0.9243 resistance, even as a corrective move.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8854; (P) 0.8872; (R1) 0.8894; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, decisive break of 0.8918 resistance will indicate short term bottoming, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for stronger rebound, back towards 0.8998 support turned resistance. Though, rejection by 0.8918 will maintain bearishness. On the downside, break of 0.8821 minor support will bring retest of 0.8756 low first.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9304 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF drops sharply in early US session but stays above 0.9854 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. In case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 1.0008 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9854 will extend the decline from 1.0237 to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712).

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF’s break of long term trend line support is the first indication of medium term reversal. Focus is now back on 0.9879 support. Sustained break should confirm that medium term up trend from 0.9186 has completed at 1.0237 already. Further fall should be seen to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712) next. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 0.9587.

On the upside, break firm break of 0.9766 will argue that the fall from 1.0067 might be completed. And intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9866 support turned resistance for confirmation. On the downside, however, break of 0.9640 will resume the decline from 1.0067 to 200% projection of 1.0067 to 0.9866 from 0.9981 at 0.8579 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9213; (P) 0.9238; (R1) 0.9272; More

USD/CHF is losing some downside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD. But further decline is expected as long as 0.9341 resistance holds. Current fall from 1.0146 should target 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9355 from 0.9545 at 0.9056. However, break of 0.9341 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for rebound.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.9545 resistance holds.

USD/CHF edged higher to 1.0237 but lacks follow through selling. Intraday bias remains neutral and some more consolidations would likely be seen first. Downside of retreat should be contained by 1.0130 minor support to bring rise resumption. On the upside, above 1.0237 will extend recent rally to 100% projection of 0.9716 to 1.0124 from 0.9879 at 1.0287, and then 1.0342 key resistance. However, break of 1.0130 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper retreat first.

In the bigger picture, medium term up trend from 0.9186 is extending. Current rise should target 1.0342 resistance next. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside, until we see medium term upside acceleration. On the downside, break of 0.9879 support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of deep pull back.

Break of 0.9427 will resume whole decline from 1.3042. On the upside, above 0.9594 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again. Also, noted that USD/CHF is close to to 0.9443 key support, consolidation from 0.9427 might extend further. But still, break of 0.9772 resistance is needed to confirm near term reversal. Otherwise, outlook stays bearish for another decline.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that 0.9443 key support (2016 low) could be taken out firmly as down trend form 1.0342 extends. There are various interpretation of the price actions. But in any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9772 resistance holds. Current down trend could extend to 38.2% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.9090. However, break of 0.9772 will indicate that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 again and turn outlook bullish for 1.0099 resistance.

Break of 0.9341 will target 0.9372 resistance and then 0.9471. On the downside, however, break of 0.9090 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8925 support.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9681; (P) 0.9695; (R1) 0.9706; More…..

Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s strong rise last week suggest that pull back from 0.9951 has completed at 0.9803. More importantly, rise from 0.9695 is ready to resume. Initial bias stays on the upside this week. Break of 0.9951 will confirm and target 1.0014 resistance next. On the downside, break of 0.9874 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9803 support and below.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. However, sustained break of 1.0014 will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.0237 high.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

But in case of deeper fall, we’d start to look for bottoming signal again as it approaches 0.9443 key support level. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9807 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 1.0099 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.
