USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8986; (P) 0.9039; (R1) 0.9077; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9086 resistance will indicate that pull back from 0.9243 has completed, and turn bias to the upside for retesting this high. However, sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8551 to 0.9243 at 0.8979 will argue that deeper fall is under way to 61.8% retracement at 0.8815.

In the bigger picture, as long as 55 D EMA (now at 0.8976) holds rise from 0.8551 is viewed as reversing whole down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). On resumption, further rise should be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9537 and above. However, sustained break of 55 D EMA will revive medium term bearishness, for retesting 0.8551 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.9951 last week was rejected by 55 day EMA and reversed since then. Rebound from 0.9695 should have completed already. Initial bias is back on the downside this week for retesting 0.9695 low first. On the upside, above 0.9951 will extend the rebound from 0.9695. In that case, upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9695 at 1.0030.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. However, sustained break of 1.0014 will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.0237 high.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9190; (P) 0.9212; (R1) 0.9233; More….

USD/CHF is still bounded in range below 0.9237 and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 0.9237 will resume the rise from 0.8925 to 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.9471 resistance. On the downside, however, break of 0.9141 minor support will turn bias to the downside for retesting 0.8925 low instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term bearishness is neutralized by strong break of 55 week EMA. Focus is back on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9908; (P) 0.9928; (R1) 0.9965; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. With 0.9999 minor resistance holds, deeper decline is mildly in favor. Below 0.9890 will target 0.9812 and below to extend the correction from 1.0342. But break of 0.9812 should be brief and we will look for bottoming signal below there. On the upside, above 0.9999 minor resistance argues that fall from 1.0107 is finished, with bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In that case, intraday bias will be flipped back to the upside for 1.0107 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9950; (P) 0.9973; (R1) 1.0014; More

USD/CHF’s recovery from 0.9879 extends higher, but stays below 1.0010 minor resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first and further decline remains mildly in favor. On the downside, below 0.9879 will resume the fall from 1.0124 to 0.9716 key support. Nevertheless, break of 1.0010 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0124/28 resistance zone.

In the bigger picture, focus is back on medium term trend line (now at 0.9849). Decisive break there will argue that whole rise from 0.9186 has completed. Further break of 0.9716 will confirm reversal and target next support level at 0.9541. Nevertheless, there is still a chance that price action from 1.0128 are forming a consolidative pattern with fall from 1.0124 as third leg. If this is the case, stronger support should be seen between 0.9716 and the trend line to contain downside.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9768; (P) 0.9804; (R1) 0.9854; More

USD/CHF’s break of 0.9868 resistance argues that larger up trend is resumed to resume. Intraday bias stays on the upside for retesting 1.0063 high first. Decisive break there will confirm this bullish case. on the downside, below 0.9754 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations, before staging another rally.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.0063 will target 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9369 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9963; (P) 0.9994; (R1) 1.0022; More…..

With 1.0121 minor resistance intact, deeper decline is still expected in USD/CHF. As noted before, rise from 0.9443 has completed at 1.0342 already, after failing to sustain above 1.0327 key resistance. Fall from there would now target 61.8% retracement of 0.9443 to 1.0342 at 0.9786 and below. On the upside, break of 1.0121 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, near term outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still expect the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9571 temporary low. As long as 0.9698 support turned resistance holds, deeper fall could be seen to 0.9420 low. In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

Despite the strong rebound from 0.9186, USD/CHF is still staying below 0.9469 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9469 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9511) and above. On the downside, below 0.9321 minor support will bring retest of 0.9186. Break there will extend the larger down trend to 0.9115 medium term projection level next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Deeper decline should be seen to 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9420 from 1.0037 at 0.9115. Break will target 161.8% projection at 0.8545. In any case, sustained trading above 55 day EMA is needed to be the first sign of medium term reversal. Considering bullish convergence condition in daily MACD too, USD/CHF could be corrective whole fall form 0.9901 in this case. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9193. Though, break of 0.8821 minor support will bring retest of 0.8756 low instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9294 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. Consolidation from 0.9551 could extend. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 0.9770 resistance and bring fall resumption. Break of 0.9551 will extend the whole fall from 1.0342 and target 0.9443 key support level next. We’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. Break of 0.9835 argues that rebound from 0.9420 is resuming. Intraday bias is cautiously on the upside for further rally to 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990 next. As medium term fall form 1.0342 is possibly finished, sustained break of 0.9990 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 high. But downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound. On the upside, above 0.9669 minor resistance will turn bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). That would also carry larger bearish implications. On the upside, however, , break of 0.9086 resistance will indicate that pull back from 0.9243 has completed, and turn bias to the upside for retesting this high.
