USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9149; (P) 0.9166; (R1) 0.9192; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9200 resistance will argue that fall from 0.9372 has completed with three waves down to 0.9101. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 0.9372 resistance. On the downside, sustained break of 0.9084 support should confirm that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and suggests that fall from 0.9471 is resuming. Deeper decline would be seen through 0.8925.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9511; (P) 0.9536; (R1) 0.9560; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9650, and sustained trading above 55 day EMA (now at 0.9647) will raise the chance that corrective pattern from 1.0063 has completed. Further rally should then be seen to 0.9884 resistance next. However, decisive break of 0.9471 support will carry larger bearish implication.

In the bigger picture, medium term up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target is 1.0342 (2016 high). Sustained break there will resume long term up trend from 0.7065 (2011 low). This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, firm break of 0.9471 will raise the chance that such up trend is over.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF dipped further to 0.8550 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first On the upside, above 0.8727 will resume the rebound from 0.8332, and target 61.8% retracement of 0.9243 to 0.8332 at 0.8995. On the downside, below 0.8550 will resume the fall from 0.8727 for 0.8487 support.

In the bigger picture, there is prospect of medium term bottoming at 0.8332 considering possible bullish convergence condition in W MACD, and the support from 0.8317 long term fibonacci support. Sustained trading above 55 D EMA (now at 0.8672) will affirm this case, and bring stronger rise back towards 0.9243 resistance, even as a corrective move.

In the long term picture, price action from 0.7065 (2011 high) are seen as a corrective pattern to the multi-decade down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high) . Strong rebound from 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 to 1.0342 (2016 high) will start the third leg as a medium term rally. But there will be no sign of long term reversal until firm break of 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9627; (P) 0.9671; (R1) 0.9720; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point. Another fall cannot be ruled out. But decline from 1.0048 is viewed as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.0063. Strong support should be seen at around 0.9543 to contain downside to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9815 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF dipped to 0.9893 last week but downside momentum was very unconvincing. At this point, we’re slightly favoring the case that 1.0342 is still in progress for another low below 0.9812. But even in that case, such decline is seen as a correction and thus, break of 0.9812 should be brief.

USD/CHF Weekly Chart

Initial bias in USD/CHF remains neutral this week for consolidations above 0.0.9893 temporary low. Deeper fall is expected as long as 0.9999 minor resistance holds. Break below 0.9893 will target 0.9812 and possibly below. Nonetheless, whole decline from 1.0342 is seen as a correction. Hence, we’ll look for bottoming signal below 0.9812. Meanwhile, on the upside, above 0.9999 minor resistance argues that fall from 1.0107 is finished, with bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In that case, intraday bias will be flipped back to the upside for 1.0107 resistance first.

USD/CHF Monthly Chart

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

USD/CHF Weekly Chart

The long term outlook in USD/CHF stays a bit mixed for the moment. But in case of another medium term fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.9443/9548 support zone. Meanwhile, firm break of 1.0342 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Monthly Chart

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF stayed in sideway trading in rage of 0.9894/9984 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the upside, above 0.9984 will resume the rebound from 0.9866 to retest 1.0067 high. Decisive break there will resume whole rally from 0.9186. On the downside, below 0.9894 might extend the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 with another falling leg, possibly through 0.9787 support. But downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 is extending. As long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds, we’d expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage to retest 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). However, sustained break of 0.9724 fibonacci level will bring deeper fall, as another declining leg in the long term range pattern.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.8891 last week but quickly retreated. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. Further rally is in favor as long as 0.8741 support holds. Break of 0.8891 will resume the whole rebound from 0.8332 towards 0.9243 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.8741 support will turn bias back to the downside for deeper pullback.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be formed at 0.8332, on bullish convergence condition in W MACD, just ahead of 0.8317 long term fibonacci support. It’s still early to decide if the larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) is reversing. But further rise should be seen to 0.9243 resistance even as a correction.

In the long term picture, price action from 0.7065 (2011 high) are seen as a corrective pattern to the multi-decade down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high).

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9929; (P) 0.9944; (R1) 0.9960; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9908 temporary low. Another fall could be seen with 1.0006 minor support intact. Break of 38.2% retracement of 0.9541 to 1.0128 at 0.9904 will target 0.9848 key support level. On the upside, above 1.0006 minor resistance will indicate that the pull back has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0128 high.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading. However, break of 0.9848 near term support will dampen this view and bring deeper decline back to 0.9541 support and possibly below.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9048; (P) 0.9066; (R1) 0.9084; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Further decline is in favor as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 0.9085) holds. On the downside, break of 0.9005 and sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 0.9006) will bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883. However, firm break of 55 4H EMA will suggest that the pull back has completed, and bring stronger rebound to retest 0.9223 high.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance, followed by sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883 will strengthen this case, and maintain medium term bearishness. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish for 1.0146.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9592; (P) 0.9638; (R1) 0.9674; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside as fall from 1.0037 is in progress for retesting 0.9420 low. On the upside, above 0.9684 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9844 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9984; (P) 1.0005; (R1) 1.0022; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 0.9981 will resume the decline from 1.0098. Sustained trading below 55 day EMA (now at 0.9964) should confirm completion of rise form 0.9716, after rejection by 1.0128 resistance. In that case, deeper fall would be seen back towards 0.9716 support. On the upside, break of 1.0098 will extend the rise from 0.9716 to 1.0128 high next.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9339; (P) 0.9365; (R1) 0.9405; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9186 is extending. Also, outlook stays mildly bearish with 0.9469 resistance intact and another decline is in favor. On the downside, break of 0.9186 will extend the larger down trend to 0.9115 medium term projection level next. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9469 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9517) and above.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Deeper decline should be seen to 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9420 from 1.0037 at 0.9115. Break will target 161.8% projection at 0.8545. In any case, sustained trading above 55 day EMA is needed to be the first sign of medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish even in case of strong rebound.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9233; (P) 0.9288; (R1) 0.9324; More….

With break of 0.9243 minor support, intraday bias in USD/CHF is back on the downside for deeper fall. Overall, with 0.9090 support intact, choppy rise from 0.8925 should extend higher. Above 0.9341 will target 0.9372 and then 0.9471. However, strong break of 0.9090 will argue that rise from 0.8925 is over, and turn near term outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8482; (P) 0.8507; (R1) 0.8549; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point. Consolidation from 0.8332 is in progress and stronger recovery cannot be ruled out. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.8665 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.8332 will resume larger fall from 0.9243 to 0.8257 projection level.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) is in progress. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 from 0.9243 at 0.8257. Sustained break there could prompt downside acceleration to 100% projection at 0.7648. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.8819 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9286; (P) 0.9330; (R1) 0.9353; More

Intraday bias remains on the downside for USD/CHF. As noted before, corrective rebound from 0.9058 could have completed ahead of 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474. Sustained break of 0.9289 resistance turned support will pave the way to retest 0.9058 low. On the upside, above 0.9358 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before another decline.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0146 is seen as part of a long term sideway pattern. As long as 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 holds, another fall is in favor through 0.9058. However, sustained trading above 0.9474 will indicate that the medium term trend has reversed, and open up further rally to 61.8% retracement at 0.9730 and above.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9247; (P) 0.9312; (R1) 0.9345; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral first. Consolidations should be relatively brief with 0.9256 minor support intact. Break of 0.9374 will resume recent rise to 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464. On the downside, break of 0.9256 will bring deeper pull back. But overall, further rally is expected as long as 0.9044 resistance turned support holds.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that fall from 1.0237 has completed at 0.8756, on bullish condition in daily and weekly MACD. Current rally from 0.8756 should target 0.9901 resistance first. Break there will target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone in the medium term. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.9044 resistance turned support holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9380; (P) 0.9411; (R1) 0.9465; More

USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9321/9490 and intraday bias remains on the downside. On the upside, break of 0.9490 will revive the case of near term reversal, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In that case, outlook will be turned bullish. On the downside, break of 0.9321 will indicate completion of the rebound from 0.9186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 0.9186 first. Break will resume larger down trend to 0.9115 projection level.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9007; (P) 0.9070; (R1) 0.9104; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for retesting 0.8998 low. Next near term target is 100% projection of 0.9304 to 0.9030 from 0.9207 at 0.8933. On the upside, break of 0.9101 minor resistance will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral again.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9304 resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9028; (P) 0.9045; (R1) 0.9062; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Further rally is in favor as long as 0.8939 support holds. On the upside, sustained trading above 55 D EMA (now at 0.9039) should confirm that current rally is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.0146. Further rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8818 at 0.9325. On the downside, though, break of 0.8939 will bring retest of 0.8818 low instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal. Sustained break of 0.9058 support turned resistance will be the first sign of medium term bottoming. However, decisive break of 0.8756 will carry larger bearish implications.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9271; (P) 0.9295; (R1) 0.9337; More

USD/CHF’s rise from 0.9058 is resuming by taking out 0.9931 resistance. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474. For now, break of 0.9219 support is needed to indicate completion of the rebound. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0146 is seen as part of a long term sideway pattern. As long as 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 holds, another fall is in favor through 0.9058. However, sustained trading above 0.9474 will indicate that the medium term trend has reversed, and open up further rally to 1.0146 again.
