USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9071; (P) 0.9119; (R1) 0.9147; More

USD/CHF drops through 0.9087 temporary today and intraday bias is back on the downside for 0.8998 support. Break there will resume larger down trend. Next target is 61.8% projection of 0.9901 to 0.8998 from 0.9304 at 0.8746. On the upside, break of 0.9165 resistance will dampen this bearish view and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9304 resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s decline from 1.0067 continued last week and hit as low as 0.9541. Initial bias stays on the downside this week for 0.9523 fibonacci level next. We’d look for bottoming sign there to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.651 support turned resistance will indicate short term bottoming and target 0.9757 resistance. However, sustained break of 0.9523 would pave the way to retest 0.9186 low.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9105; (P) 0.9126; (R1) 0.9164; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9146 might extend. Further rally is expected as long as 0.8996 support holds. Above 0.9146 will target 161.8% projection of 0.8550 to 0.8884 from 0.8728 at 0.9268.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom as tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rise would be seen as long as 0.8728 support holds. But upside should be limited by 0.9243 resistance, at least on first attempt. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s up trend resumed last week and hit as high as 0.9891. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for next near term target at 261.8% projection of 0.9149 to 0.9459 from 0.9193 at 1.0005 next. On the downside, break of 0.9708 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Sustained trading above 100% projection of 0.8756 to 0.9471 from 0.9149 at 0.9864 will pave the way to 161.8% projection at 1.0306, which is close to 1.0342 (2016 high). This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9459 resistance turned support holds.

In the long term picture, current development argues that the correction from 1.0342 (2016 high) has completed at 0.8756 (2020 low) already. Rise form 0.7065 (2011 low) might be ready to resume. Firm break of 1.0342 will confirm and target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 (2000 high) to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9095; (P) 0.9115; (R1) 0.9133; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 0.9076 will target a test on 0.8982 low. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9192 resistance will be the first sign of bullish reversal and bring stronger rise to 0.9304 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9745; (P) 0.9764; (R1) 0.9791; More….

USD/CHF is still staying in corrective trading above 0.9689 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. As long as 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9785) holds, deeper fall is mildly in favor. But we’d expect 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 0.1.0037 at 0.9656 to contain downside and bring rebound. Sustained break of 4 hour 55 EMA will argue that the correction from 1.0037 has completed and turn focus to 0.9977 resistance for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Daily Chart

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8901; (P) 0.8950; (R1) 0.8979; More

USD/CHF recovered ahead of 0.8900 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Further decline is expected as long as 0.9000 resistance holds. Break of 0.8900 will target 0.8818 and possibly below. But strong support is still expected from 0.8756 to bring reversal. Meanwhile, above 0.9000 will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9146 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high), which might have completed at 0.8818 already, just ahead of 0.8756 long term support. Sustained trading above 0.9058 support turned resistance should confirm medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9912; (P) 0.9932; (R1) 0.9962; More….

USD/CHF is still bounded in range of 0.9894/9984. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the upside, above 0.9984 will resume the rebound from 0.9866 to retest 1.0067 high. Decisive break there will resume whole rally from 0.9186. On the downside, below 0.9894 might extend the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 with another falling leg. But downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 is extending with another leg. As long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds, we’d expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage to retest 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). However, sustained break of 0.9724 fibonacci level will bring deeper fall, as another declining leg in the long term range pattern.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9197; (P) 0.9208; (R1) 0.9223; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Overall, further rally is mildly in favor as long as 0.9090 support holds. On the upside, break of 0.9372 will resume the choppy rally from 0.8925 to 0.9471 high. However, break of 0.9090 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.8925 support instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9596; (P) 0.9617; (R1) 0.9644; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. The pair is still in corrective pattern from 1.0063. Below 0.9478 will extend the fall from 0.9868 towards 0.9369 support. On the upside, firm break of 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9654) will target 0.9868 resistance first. Further break there will argue that larger up trend is ready to resume through 1.0063.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.0063 will target 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9369 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9647; (P) 0.9662; (R1) 0.9689; More…..

USD/CHF’s decline is still in progress and reaches as low as 0.9599 so far. Intraday bias stays on the downside. Current fall from 1.0067 should target 0.9523 fibonacci level next. On the upside, break of 0.9633 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again. But near term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9757 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9672; (P) 0.9704; (R1) 0.9761; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside at this point, for 0.9082 resistance. Break will target a test on 0.9901 resistance. On the downside, below 0.9588 will turn bias to the downside for 0.9502 support. Overall, price actions from 0.9901 are in progress and downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound form 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF surged to as high as 0.9818 last week. The development confirmed near term reversal level. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 0.9866 key resistance level, 61.8% retracement of 1.0067 to 0.9541 at 0.9866. Decisive break there will bring retest of 1.0067 high. On the downside, below 0.9736 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, focus is now back on 0.9866 support turned resistance. Decisive break there will suggests that pull back from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541. And larger rise from 0.9186 low is ready to resume. Decisive break of 1.0067 will pave the way to 1.0342 key resistance next. Meanwhile, break of 0.9541 will extend the decline but we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low even in that case.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9609; (P) 0.9684; (R1) 0.9729; More

USD/CHF’s fall from 0.9802 accelerates lower today. The development suggests that correction from 0.9901 has started the third leg. Intraday bias is back on the downside to 0.9592 support, and then 0.9502. But downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9802 will target a test on 0.9901 high.

USD/CHF’s recovery from 0.9646 extended last week but stayed below 0.9770 resistance. Outlook is unchanged and initial bias is neutral this week first. Further decline is still expected with 0.9770 intact. On the downside, break of 0.9646 will extend whole decline from 1.0237 and target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9659 from 1.0023 at 0.9445. Nevertheless, on the upside, break of 0.9770 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9830) instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9929; (P) 0.9959; (R1) 0.9980; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with a temporary top in place at 0.9990. Some consolidation would be seen, but downside should be contained above 0.9856 support to bring another rise. As noted before, correction from 1.0128 should have completed at 0.9716 already. On the upside, above 0.9990 will target a test on 1.0128 high next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 has possibly completed with three waves up to 1.0128 already. Decline from 1.0128 could either be correcting this move, or reversing the trend. As long as 0.9541 support holds, we’d slightly favor the former scenario, and expect another rise through 1.0128 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 0.9541 will confirm trend reversal and bring deeper fall back to 0.9186 low.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF stayed in consolidation from 0.9613 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Upside should be limited by 0.9762 resistance to bring down trend resumption. Below 0.9661 minor support will bring retest of 0.9613 low first. Break will target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9659 from 1.0023 at 0.9445. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9762 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for stronger rebound to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9787).

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9111; (P) 0.9144; (R1) 0.9184; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral first, and further decline is expected with 0.9225 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 0.9101 will target 0.9017 support, and then 0.8925. On the upside, however, break of 0.9225 resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9367 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9458; (P) 0.9488; (R1) 0.9544; More

USD/CHF is staying in range below 0.9533 temporary top and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise is in favor as long as 0.9356 support holds. Break of 0.9533 will resume the rebound from 0.9186 and target 0.9626 fibonacci level. However, on the downside, break of 0.9356 will indicate that the rebound has completed. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9186 low.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Current development is raising the chance that it is completed. But there is no confirmation yet. Focus will now be back on 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 (2016 high) to 0.9186 (2018 low) at 0.9626. Sustained break there will add much credence to the case of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9900 and above). However, rejection from 0.9626 will maintain medium term bearishness for another low below 0.9186.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s correction from 1.0146 extended lower last week but stayed above 0.9779 support. Initial bias remains neutral this week and further rise is still expected. Break of 1.0146 will resume larger up trend to 1.0283 projection level. However, firm break of 0.9779 will be a sign of reversal, and bring deeper decline back to 0.9478 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9779 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

In the long term picture, outlook is mixed with deeper than expected fall from 1.0063, but some support was seen from 55 week EMA (now at 0.9528). Overall, though, USD/CHF is seen as in sideway pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). Range trading should continue until further development.
