USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9055; (P) 0.9102; (R1) 0.9153; More

Further rise is expected in USD/CHF as long as 0.9013 minor support holds. Current rally is seen as correcting whole down trend from 1.0146. Further rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8818 at 0.9325. On the downside, below 0.9013 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal. Sustained break of 0.9058 support turned resistance will be the first sign of medium term bottoming. However, decisive break of 0.8756 will carry larger bearish implications.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9044; (P) 0.9084; (R1) 0.9131; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. With 0.9197 resistance intact, further decline is still in favor. On the downside, break of 0.9009 will resume larger down trend. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9197 should confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for rebound to 55 day EMA (now at 9261).

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). Current development suggests that such pattern is still extending. Sustain trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8783; (P) 0.8806; (R1) 0.8846; More….

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias stays neutral. On the upside, decisive break of 0.8818/26 resistance zone will carry larger bullish implication, and target 0.9146 cluster resistance next. However, break of 0.8688 support will indicate rejection by 0.8818, and turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.8551 low.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom could be in place at 0.8551 already, on bullish convergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading above 0.8818 support turned resistance will bring further rise to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160), even as a correction. Nevertheless, break of 0.8851 will resume the down trend from 1.0146 instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8518; (P) 0.8550; (R1) 0.8569; More….

USD/CHF’s decline resumes by breaching 0.8513 temporary low and intraday bias is back on the downside. Current fall should target 100% projection of 0.9111 to 0.8665 from 0.8819 at 0.8373 next. On the upside, above 0.8578 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.8665 support turned resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, break of 0.8551 support indicates resumption of whole decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 from 0.9243 at 0.8257. Sustained break there could prompt downside acceleration to 100% projection at 0.7648. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.8819 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF dropped further to 0.9084 last week but recovered again. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Outlook stays bearish as long as 0.9407 resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9355 from 0.9545 at 0.9056 will pave the way to 100% projection at 0.8754, which is close to 0.8756 long term support. Nevertheless, on the upside, break of 0.9407 should confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 should be a medium term down trend itself. Next target is a test on 0.8756 low. Strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. Still, further decline will now be expected as long as 0.9407 resistance holds, in any case.

In the long term picture, long term sideway pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high) is extending and it’s probably in another medium term down leg. Downside will likely be contained by 0.8756 support in case of deeper fall. Overall, range trading should continue until further development.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9035; (P) 0.9089; (R1) 0.9194; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for 0.9207 resistance first. Decisive break there would be an early sign of bullish reversal and target 0.9304 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, below 0.9115 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 0.8982 low instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9304 resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9148; (P) 0.9164; (R1) 0.9190; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as it’s still staying in consolidation from 0.9090. On the downside, firm break of 0.9084 support will argue that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed. Fall from 0.9471 might be ready to resuming. Further decline would be seen back to 0.8925 support first. On the upside, above 0.9276 will target 0.9372 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9786; (P) 0.9824; (R1) 0.9881; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as further rally is expected as long as 0.9691 support holds. On the upside, break of 0.9884 resistance will argue that larger up trend is ready to resume through 1.0063 high. On the downside, however, break of 0.9691 minor support will dampen this view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9469 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.0063 will target 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9369 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8958; (P) 0.8987; (R1) 0.9021; More….

In the bigger picture, as long as 55 D EMA (now at 0.8976) holds rise from 0.8551 is viewed as reversing whole down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). On resumption, further rise should be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9537 and above. However, sustained break of 55 D EMA will revive medium term bearishness, for retesting 0.8551 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9952; (P) 0.9976; (R1) 1.0017; More

USD/CHF’s rally continues in early US session and edges higher to 1.0017. While upside momentum is unconvincing as see in 4 hour MACD, intraday bias stays on the upside for further rally. Decisive break of 1.0037 resistance will extend the whole rally from 0.9186 towards 1.0342 key resistance On the downside, though, below 0.9937 minor support will indicate short term topping. And, in that case, deeper retreat could be seen to 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9894) and below before staging another rise.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 0.9648 resistance turned support holds, even in case of pull back.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9230; (P) 0.9255; (R1) 0.9294; More

USD/CHF’s rally is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the upside for the moment. Rebound from 0.8998 should target 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8998 at 0.9343. Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 0.9556. On the downside, break of 0.9215 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring some consolidations first.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). There is no clear sign of completion yet and on resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9376 support turned resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9080; (P) 0.9115; (R1) 0.9173; More

USD/CHF’s break of 0.9151 minor resistance suggests short term bottoming at 0.9056, on bullish convergence in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias is turned back to the upside for 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9203) and above. At this point, we’d expect upside to be limited below 0.9376 support turned resistance. On the downside, break of 0.9056 will extend recent down trend form 0.9901.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9768; (P) 0.9804; (R1) 0.9854; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for retesting 1.0063 high. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of larger up trend. On the downside, below 0.9754 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations, before staging another rally.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0000; (P) 1.0027; (R1) 1.0068; More….

USD/CHF’s rally accelerates to as high as 1.0092 so far today. Intraday bias stays on the upside for 1.0128 resistance. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of up trend from 0.9186. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.9541 to 1.0128 from 0.9716 at 1.0303. On the downside, below 1.0039 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first and bring consolidations. But retreat should be contained well above 0.9908 support to bring another rally.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF rose further to 1.0026 last week but retreated sharply since then. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Near term outlook stays bullish as long as 0.9848 support holds. Above 1.0026 will target 1.0067 resistance first. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of larger rise from 0.9186 and should target 1.0342 key resistance next. However, break of 0.9848 support will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s rebound from 0.8987 extended to 0.9157 last week before turning sideway. Current development suggests that pull back from 0.9223 has completed already. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and further rise is in favor. Above 0.9157 will bring retest of 0.9223. However, break of 0.9077 support will bring retest of 0.8987. Break there will resume the fall from 0.9223 to 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance, followed by sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883 will strengthen this case, and maintain medium term bearishness. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish for 1.0146.

In the long term picture, price action from 0.7065 (2011 high) are seen as a corrective pattern to the multi-decade down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high). Strong rebound from 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 to 1.0342 (2016 high) will start the third leg as a medium term rally. But there will be no sign of long term reversal until firm break of 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9194; (P) 0.9226; (R1) 0.9258; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside at this point. Fall from 0.9459 is in progress for 0.9149 support. Firm break there will turn near term outlook bearish for 0.9090 support and below. On the upside, above 0.9380 resistance will flip bias back to the upside for 0.9459 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that whole down trend form 1.0342 (2016 high), has completed with waves down to 0.8756. A medium term up trend should be set up to target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF dropped further to as low as 1.0050 last week but drew support from 55 day EMA and recovered. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. For now, further decline remains mildly in favor as long as 1.0126 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.0050 will resume the fall from 1.0237 to retest 0.9879 key support. However, firm break of 1.0126 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0237 resistance.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9879 support holds, medium term up trend form 0.9186 is still in progress. Break of 1.0237 will target 1.0342 resistance next. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside, until we see medium term upside acceleration. However, decisive break of 0.9879 will be a strong sign of medium term reversal. Focus will be turned back to 0.9716 support for confirmation.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s rise from 0.9716 extended to 1.0098 last week and formed a temporary top there and retreated. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Further rally is expected as long as 0.9988 support holds. On the upside, above 1.0098 will target 1.0128 first. Break will confirm resumption of up trend from 0.9186. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.9541 to 1.0128 from 0.9716 at 1.0303. However, break of 0.9988 will indicate rejection by 1.0128 and turn intraday bias to the downside for 0.9716 support again.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9128; (P) 0.9145; (R1) 0.9167; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and some consolidations could be seen above 0.9087 temporary low. Another fall is still mildly in favor as long as 0.9197 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.9087 will target a test on 0.8998. Firm break there will resume larger down trend. On the upside, however, break of 0.9197 will extend the corrective pattern from 0.8998 with another rise to 0.9304 resistance and above.

Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9376 support turned resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.
