USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s rally from 0.8332 continued last week and hit as high as 0.8884. Nevertheless, with subsequent retreat, initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the upside, above 0.8884 will resume the rise and 100% projection of 0.8332 to 0.8727 from 0.8550 at 0.8954. However, sustained break of 0.8727 will dampen this bullish view, and turn bias back to the downside for 0.8550 support instead.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be formed at 0.8332, on bullish convergence condition in W MACD, just ahead of 0.8317 long term fibonacci support. It’s still early to decide if the larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) is reversing. But further rise should be seen to 0.9243 resistance even as a correction.

In the long term picture, price action from 0.7065 (2011 high) are seen as a corrective pattern to the multi-decade down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high). Strong rebound from 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 to 1.0342 (2016 high) will start the third leg as a medium term rally. But there will be no sign of long term reversal until firm break of 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s decline lost momentum ahead of 0.9851 support last week and recovered. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Consolidation from 1.0027 might extend further through 0.9851. On the upside, break of 0.9978 will target 1.0027 first.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9321/9490 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the downside, break of 0.9321 will indicate completion of the rebound from 0.9186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 0.9186 first. Break will resume larger down trend to 0.9115 projection level. On the upside, break of 0.9490 will revive the case of near term reversal, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In that case, outlook will be turned bullish.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Deeper decline should be seen to 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9420 from 1.0037 at 0.9115. Break will target 161.8% projection at 0.8545. In any case, sustained trading above 55 day EMA is needed to be the first sign of medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish even in case of strong rebound.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

At this point, USD/CHF is still kept in range below 0.9757 resistance. Intraday bias stays neutral first. Considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, even in case of another fall, downside will likely be contained by 0.9523 fibonacci level to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9757 will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has formed a short term bottom. In such case, further rise would be seen back to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9804).

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9124; (P) 0.9141; (R1) 0.9161; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral first. On the downside, firm break of 0.9084 support will argue that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed. Fall from 0.9471 might be ready to resuming. Further decline would be seen back to 0.8925 support first. On the upside, above 0.9276 will target 0.9372 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.9994 last week but quickly turned into consolidation again. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. Downside of retreat should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9716 to 0.9994 at 0.9888 to bring another rally. As noted before, the corrective decline from 1.0128 should have completed at 0.9716 already. On the upside, break of 0.9994 will extend the rise from 0.9716 to retest 1.0128 next. On the downside, though, firm break of 0.9888 will target 61.8% retracement at 0.9822 before completing the retreat.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9634; (P) 0.9659; (R1) 0.9686; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. Another fall cannot be ruled out. But decline from 1.0048 is viewed as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.0063. Strong support should be seen at around 0.9543 to contain downside to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9815 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9938; (P) 0.9949; (R1) 0.9967; More….

USD/CHF’s rally continues today and break of 0.9963 resistance should confirm the bullish case. That is, corrective fall from 1.0128 has completed at 0.9716 already. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.0128 next. On the downside, below 0.9932 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral again. But near term outlook will remain cautiously bullish as long as 0.9856 minor support holds.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 has possibly completed with three waves up to 1.0128 already. Decline from 1.0128 could either be correcting this move, or reversing the trend. As long as 0.9541 support holds, we’d slightly favor the former scenario, and expect another rise through 1.0128 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 0.9541 will confirm trend reversal and bring deeper fall back to 0.9186 low.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9029; (P) 0.9053; (R1) 0.9090; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral first with a temporary low formed at 0.9005. Further decline is expected as long as 0.9118 resistance holds. Break of 0.9005 and sustained trading below 38.2% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9058 from 0.9439 at 0.9023 will extend the down trend from 1.0146 to 61.8% projection at 0.8767.

In the bigger picture, outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9439 resistance holds, and fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is still in progress. Prior rejection by 55 week EMA was a medium term bearish sign. Sustained of 0.9058 will resume such decline towards 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, this fall is still as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation is extending. With 0.9241 resistance intact, further fall is still expected. On the downside, break of 0.9050 will resume larger down trend. Though, break of of 0.9241 will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias to the upside for 0.9376 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). Current development suggests that such pattern is still extending. Sustain trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8753; (P) 0.8797; (R1) 0.8823; More

USD/CHF’s decline from 0.9223 continues today and break of near term falling channel support indicates downside acceleration. Intraday bias stays on the downside. Sustained trading below 61.8% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8672 will pave the way to retest 0.8332 low. On the upside, above 0.8733 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another fall.

In the bigger picture, with 0.9243 resistance intact, medium term outlook in USD/CHF is neutral at best. For now, more sideway trading is likely between 0.8332/9243. However, firm break of 0.9243 will indicate larger bullish trend reversal.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays on the downside and outlook is unchanged. Firm break of 100% projection of 0.9243 to 0.8886 from 0.9111 at 0.8754 will target 161.8% projection at 0.8533, which is close to 0.8551 low. On the upside, above 0.8817 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.8886 support turned resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as part of a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Deeper decline could be seen to 0.8551 low but strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.8886 resistance holds.

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation from 0.8822 and intraday bias remains neutral. Stronger recovery could be seen, but upside should be limited by 0.8982 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.8822 will resume larger down trend for 61.8% projection of 0.9901 to 0.8998 from 0.9304 at 0.8746 next.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9304 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.9341 last week but retreated since then. It’s basically still stuck in range trading below 0.9372 resistance. Initial bias is neutral this week first. For now, further rise will remain mildly in favor as long as 0.9090 support holds. break of 0.9372 will resume the choppy rally from 0.8925 to 0.9471 high. However, break of 0.9090 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.8925 support instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8878; (P) 0.8903; (R1) 0.8945; More

Breach of 0.8858 support indicates resumption of recent down trend in USD/CHF. Intraday bias is back on the downside. Current fall from 1.0146 should target 1.0146 to 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9058 from 0.9439 at 0.8767, which is close to 0.8756 long term support. Strong support is expected there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. On the upside, above 0.8926 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. Further break of 0.9001 should confirm short term bottoming.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is in progress for 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, this fall is still seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal. Sustained break of 0.9058 support turned resistance will be the first sign of medium term bottoming. However, decisive break of 0.8756 will carry larger bearish implications.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Immediate focus is now on 0.8551 support in USD/CHF. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound. Break of 0.8650 minor resistance will indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for 0.8819 resistance. However, sustained break of 0.8551 could trigger downside acceleration to 100% projection of 0.9111 to 0.8665 from 0.8819 at 0.8373.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Strong support should be seen 0.8551 to bring rebound. Meanwhile, break of 0.8819 resistance will argue that the third leg has started already, and target 0.9243. However, firm break of 0.8551 will confirm resumption of larger down trend from 1.0146 instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8659; (P) 0.8694; (R1) 0.8737; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is mildly on the upside at this point. Sustained trading above 38.2% retracement of 0.9243 to 0.8332 at 0.8680 and 55 D EMA (now at 0.8686) will turn near term outlook bullish for 61.8% retracement 0.8995. Nevertheless, break of 0.8632 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for deeper pullback.

In the bigger picture, while rebound from 0.8332 could be strong, there is no clear sign of medium term bottoming yet. This rebound is tentatively seen as a corrective move for now. Also, outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9243 resistance holds. Larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) should resume through 0.8332 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Break of 0.9013 support now suggests that USD/CHF’s corrective recovery from 0.8818 has completed at 0.9146. Intraday bias is back on the downside to 0.8818 and possibly below. But strong support is still needed at around 0.8756 long term support to bring another rebound. Nevertheless, for now, risk still stay on the downside as long as 0.9146 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high), which might have completed at 0.8818 already, just ahead of 0.8756 long term support. Sustained trading above 0.9058 support turned resistance should confirm medium term bottoming. Further break of 0.9439 resistance will confirm bullish trend reversal.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s pull back from 0.8874 was deeper than expected, but it recovered quickly after hitting 0.8743. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. On the upside, firm break of 0.8874 will resume the rise from 0.8551. Next target is 0.9146 cluster resistance. On the downside, though, break of 0.8743 minor support will argue that rebound from 0.8551 has completed, and bring retest of this low.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.8551 medium term bottom is currently seen as a correction to the downtrend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rally would be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160). Strong resistance could be seen there to limit upside, at least on first attempt.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign that down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high) has completed. With 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359 intact, outlook is neutral at best. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317 will bring retest of 0.7065 low.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside at this point. Correction from 0.9901 is in progress. Further fall would be seen and break of 0.9588 will target 0.9502 support. But downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9736 resistance will turn bias back to the upside instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound form 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.
