USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9153; (P) 0.9176; (R1) 0.9194; More

USD/CHF is staying in tight range above 0.9133 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral first. Another fall is in favor with 0.9218 resistance intact. Below 0.9133 will target a test on 0.8998 low. However, on the upside, break of 0.9218 minor resistance will argue that corrective rebound from 0.8998 is not completed yet. In this case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9304 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9376 support turned resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0059; (P) 1.0077; (R1) 1.0110; More….

USD/CHF’s rise resumed after brief retreat and intraday bias is back on the upside. Current rise from 0.9716 is in progress for 1.0128 resistance. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of up trend from 0.9186. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.9541 to 1.0128 from 0.9716 at 1.0303. On the downside, below 1.0043 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidation again.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9452; (P) 0.9482; (R1) 0.9505; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation below 0.9533 temporary top. Another rise is expected as long as 0.9337 support holds. Above 0.9533 will target 100% projection of 0.9186 to 0.9490 from 0.9337 at 0.9641 first. On the downside, break of 0.9337 minor support is needed to indicate completion of the rebound. Otherwise, near term outlook will be cautiously bullish even in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Current development is raising the chance that it is completed. But there is no confirmation yet. Focus will now be back on 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 (2016 high) to 0.9186 (2018 low) at 0.9626. Sustained break there will add much credence to the case of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9900 and above). However, rejection from 0.9626 will maintain medium term bearishness for another low below 0.9186.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9172; (P) 0.9197; (R1) 0.9215; More….

Outlook in USD/CHF is unchanged and intraday bias remains mildly on the downside. Deeper fall would be seen to 0.9090 support. Firm break there will argue that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and turn near term outlook bearish. Nevertheless, above 0.9250 will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9341, and then 0.9372 instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9949; (P) 0.9970; (R1) 0.9998; More

USD/CHF’s rally re-accelerates to as high as 1.0015 in early US session and intraday bias stays on the upside for 1.0067 resistance next. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of larger rise from 0.9186 and should target 1.0342 key resistance next. On the downside, below 0.9955 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But near term outlook will remain bullish as long as 0.9848 support holds.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9602; (P) 0.9627; (R1) 0.9674; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside at this point. Rebound from 0.9541 short term bottom would target 0.9757 resistance first. Firm break there will target 0.9866 key resistance level, 61.8% retracement of 1.0067 to 0.9541 at 0.9866. On the downside, below 0.9604 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9541 low instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and possibly below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggest that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9575; (P) 0.9609; (R1) 0.9661; More

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral. Strong support is expected at 61.8% retracement of 0.9193 to 1.0063 at 0.9525 to complete the pull back from 1.0063. On the upside, above 0.9763 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 high. However, sustained break of 0.9525 will bring deeper decline to 0.9193 support.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8898; (P) 0.8944; (R1) 0.8969; More….

USD/CHF’s break of 0.8925 resistance turned support, as well as the near term trend line, argues that corrective rise from 0.8756 has completed, with three waves up to 0.9044. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for 0.8837 support first. Break will bring retest of 0.8756 low. On the upside, above 0.8980 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside to resume the corrective rebound form 0.8756 instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9295 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9211; (P) 0.9242; (R1) 0.9259; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. Fall from 0.9372 is accelerating and should target 0.9084 support first. Firm break there will argue that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and fall from 0.9471 is resuming. Deeper decline would be seen through 0.8925. On the upside, break of 0.9213 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay mildly on the downside as long as 0.9372 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8665; (P) 0.8701; (R1) 0.8740; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays mildly on the upside at this point. Rebound from 0.8851 would extend higher towards 0.8818 support turned resistance. Strong resistance could be seen there to complete the recovery and bring down trend resumption. On the downside, firm break of 0.8551 will resume larger down trend from 1.0146, targeting 0.8317 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0146 is seen as in progress as long as 0.8188 support turned resistance holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317. However, sustained break of 0.8818 will be the first sign of medium term bottoming, and turn focus back to 0.9146 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9788; (P) 0.9820; (R1) 0.9840; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. As noted before, fall from 1.0128 is seen as correcting whole rise from 0.9186. Deeper fall is in favor. On the downside, break of 0.9716 will target 0.9541 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0128 at 0.9546). Nevertheless, firm break of 0.9963 will suggest that the pull back is completed. Near term outlook will be turned bullish for 1.0128 .

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 has possibly completed with three waves up to 1.0128 already. Decline from 1.0128 could either be correcting this move, or reversing the trend. As long as 0.9541 support holds, we’d slightly favor the former scenario, and expect another rise through 1.0128 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 0.9541 will confirm trend reversal and bring deeper fall back to 0.9186 low.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9927; (P) 0.9942; (R1) 0.9970; More

At this point, USD/CHF is still limited below 0.9977 minor resistance. Intraday bias stays neutral first. On the upside, break of 0.9977 will suggest that the pull back from 1.0067 has completed. And that will bring retest of 1.0067 first. Decisive break there will resume larger rally from 0.9186. On the downside, below 0.9866 will extend the fall from 1.0067 through 0.9856 to 0.9787 support. As price actions from 1.0056 are seen as a corrective pattern, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 is extending with another leg. As long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds, we’d expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage to retest 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). However, sustained break of 0.9724 will bring deeper fall, as another declining leg in the long term range pattern.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0004; (P) 1.0020; (R1) 1.0044; More

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation below 1.0046 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral first. With 0.9977 minor support intact, further rise is in favor. Above 1.0046 will extend the rebound from 0.9879 and turn bias to the upside for 1.0124 resistance. However, as the structure of the rise is corrective looking, we’d expect strong resistance from 1.0124 to limit upside to bring another reversal. On the downside, below 0.9977 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.9879 support.

In the bigger picture, loss of upside momentum is seen is bearish divergence in daily MACD. But there is no clear sign of bearish reversal in USD/CHF yet. Rise fro 0.9186 is likely still in progress. Decisive break of 1.0128 resistance will resume this medium term rally to 1.0342 resistance next. This will remain the preferred case now, as long as 0.9716 support holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9421; (P) 0.9451; (R1) 0.9477; More

USD/CHF is still bounded in range of 0.9356/9533 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Still, further rise is in favor as long as 0.9356 support holds. Break of 0.9533 will resume the rebound from 0.9186 and target 0.9626 fibonacci level. However, on the downside, break of 0.9356 will indicate that the rebound has completed. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9186 low.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s down trend continued last week and reached as low as 0.8851. As a temporary low was formed, initial bias is neutral this week for some consolidations. upside of recovery should be limited by 0.8982 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.8851 will target 61.8% projection of 0.9901 to 0.8998 from 0.9304 at 0.8746 next.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9304 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9119; (P) 0.9149; (R1) 0.9181; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Corrective pattern from 0.9058 low is extending and another rise cannot be ruled out. But upside should be limited by 0.9474 fibonacci level. On the downside, firm break of 0.9058 will resume larger down trend from 1.1046.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) should still be in progress with 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 intact. Prior rejection by 55 week EMA was a medium term bearish sign. Break of 0.9058 will resume such decline towards 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, this fall is still as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal.
