USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9709; (P) 0.9737; (R1) 0.9759; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9704 resistance turned support will argue that rebound from 0.9420 has completed. This will also mixed up the near term outlook and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9587 support. Meanwhile, break of 0.9835 temporary top will extend the rebound to 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could develop into a medium term move and target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9587 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s rebound from 0.9860 extended higher last week. The development indicates short term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Initial bias remains mildly on the upside this week. Sustained trading above 55 day EMA (now at 1.0038) will pave the way for a test on 1.0342 high. On the downside, below 0.9935 minor support will turn focus back to 0.9860 instead.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection from 1.0327 resistance argues that USD/CHF is staying in a medium term sideway pattern. In any case, decisive break of 1.0342 resistance is needed to confirm underlying strength. Otherwise, we’ll stay neutral in the pair first. In case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.9443/9548 support zone. Meanwhile firm break of 1.0342 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9603; (P) 0.9639; (R1) 0.9660; More

USD/CHF breached 0.9594 support but quickly recovered. Intraday bias stays neutral first. Outlook is a bit mixed as the pair is bounded inside medium term falling channel. The pair was also limited below 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783. Firm break of 0.9594 will dampen our bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437. This could also extend the fall through 1.0342 through 0.9437/43 key support level. On the upside, above 0.9772 will revive the bullish case of reversal and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level. And long term range trading in 0.9443/1.0342 is extending with another rise. At this point, there is no sign of an up trend yet. Hence, while further rise is expected in USD/CHF, we’ll start to be cautious on loss of momentum above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9996.

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook. considering it’s close to to 0.9443 key support, consolidation from 0.9427 might extend further. But still, break of 0.9772 resistance is needed to confirm near term reversal. Otherwise, outlook stays bearish for another decline. Below 0.9537 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.9427 first. Break of 0.9427 will resume whole decline from 1.3042.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that 0.9443 key support (2016 low) could be taken out firmly as down trend form 1.0342 extends. There are various interpretation of the price actions. But in any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9772 resistance holds. Current down trend could extend to 38.2% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.9090.

The break of 0.9427 argues that larger decline from 1.0342 is resuming. Intraday bias stays on the downside for the moment. Current fall should now target 61.8% projection of 1.0099 to 0.9437 from 0.9772 at 0.9363 next. On the upside, above 0.9493 minor resistance will turn bias neutral first. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9679 resistance holds.

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as consolidation from 0.9879 is extending. Intraday bias stays neutral first. As long as 1.0010 minor resistance holds, further decline is mildly in favor. On the downside, below 0.9879 will resume the fall from 1.0124 to 0.9716 key support. Nevertheless, break of 1.0010 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0124/28 resistance zone.

In the bigger picture, focus is back on medium term trend line (now at 0.9846). Decisive break there will argue that whole rise from 0.9186 has completed. Further break of 0.9716 will confirm reversal and target next support level at 0.9541. Nevertheless, there is still a chance that price action from 1.0128 are forming a consolidative pattern with fall from 1.0124 as third leg. If this is the case, stronger support should be seen between 0.9716 and the trend line to contain downside.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9117; (P) 0.9148; (R1) 0.9167; More….

USD/CHF’s fall from 0.9471 resumes by breaking 0.9127 temporary low. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 0.9471 at 0.9029 next. Sustained break there would bring retest of 0.8756 low. On the upside, though, break of 0.9194 resistance will indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for rebound.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. We’ll monitor the downside momentum of the decline from 0.9471, to assess the chance of breakthrough 0.8756 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9671; (P) 0.9696; (R1) 0.9717; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point as consolidation from 0.9613 is still in progress. While another recovery cannot be ruled out, as long as 0.9807 resistance holds, further fall is expected. Break of 0.9613 will resume the decline from 1.0342 and target 0.9548 support and below. We’d start to look for bottoming signal again as it approaches 0.9443 key support level. On the upside, firm break of 0.9807 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 1.0099 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

On the downside, break of 0.9116 support will affirm the case that rebound from 0.8925 has completed at 0.9273. Deeper fall would then be seen back to retest 0.8925 low. On the upside, however, break of 0.9273 and sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262 will target 0.9471 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9590; (P) 0.9625; (R1) 0.9665; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. Strong support is expected from 61.8% retracement of 0.9193 to 1.0063 at 0.9525 to complete the pull back from 1.0063. On the upside, above 0.9763 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 high. However, sustained break of 0.9525 will bring deeper decline to 0.9193 support.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF’s recovery is still in progress and is pressing 4 hour 55 EMA. Further rise cannot be ruled out, but still, upside of recovery should be limited below 0.9770 resistance and bring resumption. Below 0.9551 will extend the decline from 1.0342 to 0.94443 key support level. At this point, we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. With 0.9272 resistance intact, further decline is in favor. Considering bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, firm break of 0.9162 support will argue that whole rise from 0.8925 has completed and target this support. On the upside, break of 0.9272 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 0.9367 instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not completed yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum of assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s consolidation from 1.0037 extended last week with a drip. But outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. We’d continue to expect downside to be contained above 0.9835 resistance turned support and bring rally resumption. On the upside break of 1.0037 will resume whole rally from 0.9420. And with sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990, USD/CHF should then target a test on 1.0342 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could is a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

In the long term picture, while upside momentum is unconvincing, with 0.9443 key support intact, rise from 0.7065 (2011 low) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0342 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 (2000 high) to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9875; (P) 0.9895; (R1) 0.9913; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point and more consolidative trading would be seen. On the upside, above 0.9977 will resume the rebound from 0.9734 for 1.0037 resistance. On the downside, below 0.9834 will probably extend the correction from 1.0037 through 0.9734. But we’d expect strong support from 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 0.1.0037 at 0.9656 to complete the correction from 1.0037 and bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. With 0.9999 minor resistance holds, deeper decline is mildly in favor. Below 0.9890 will target 0.9812 and below to extend the correction from 1.0342. But break of 0.9812 should be brief and we will look for bottoming signal below there. On the upside, above 0.9999 minor resistance argues that fall from 1.0107 is finished, with bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In that case, intraday bias will be flipped back to the upside for 1.0107 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

On the downside, break of 0.9186 will extend the larger down trend to 0.9115 medium term projection level next. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9469 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9517) and above.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Deeper decline should be seen to 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9420 from 1.0037 at 0.9115. Break will target 161.8% projection at 0.8545. In any case, sustained trading above 55 day EMA is needed to be the first sign of medium term reversal. USD/CHF’s fall from 0.8747 is in progress and intraday bias stays on the downside for retesting 0.8431 support. Firm break there will resume whole decline from 0.9223 towards 0.8332 low. Strong support could be seen from 0.8332 to bring rebound. Yet, overall outlook will continue to stay bearish as long as 0.9243 resistance holds.
