USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8876; (P) 0.8921; (R1) 0.8946; More….

USD/CHF is still bounded in range above 0.8880 and intraday bias stays neutral. On the downside, sustained break of 0.8883 fibonacci level will carry larger bearish implications and bring deeper decline. On the upside, firm break of 0.8987 support turned resistance will argue that correction from 0.9223 has completed, after drawing support from 0.8883 fibonacci level. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 0.9157/9223 resistance zone.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance, followed by sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883 will strengthen this case, and maintain medium term bearishness. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish for 1.0146.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9712; (P) 0.9737; (R1) 0.9754; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation form 0.9646. Further decline is expected with 0.9770 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 0.9646 will extend whole fall from 1.0237 and target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9659 from 1.0023 at 0.9445. Nevertheless, on the upside, break of 0.9770 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9827) instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9971; (P) 0.9999; (R1) 1.0029; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9958 temporary low. With 1.0121 minor resistance intact, deeper decline is still expected. As noted before, rise from 0.9443 has completed at 1.0342 already, after failing to sustain above 1.0327 key resistance. Fall from there would now target 61.8% retracement of 0.9443 to 1.0342 at 0.9786 and below. On the upside, break of 1.0121 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, near term outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still expect the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8986; (P) 0.9016; (R1) 0.9057; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook and intraday bias remains on the upside. Fall from 0.9223 might have completed as a three-wave corrective move to 0.8825. Sustained trading above the near term falling channel resistance will bring further rally to 0.9157 resistance next. On the downside, below 0.8977 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral gain first.

In the bigger picture, focus remains is now on 0.9223/9243 resistance zone. Decisive break there would complete a head and shoulder bottom pattern (ls: 0.8551; h: 0.8332; rs: 0.8825). That would indicate larger bullish trend reversal. Nevertheless, rejection by 0.9223/43 will keep medium term outlook neutral at best, for more range trading between 0.8332/9243 first.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9680; (P) 0.9724; (R1) 0.9767; More….

Focus remains on 0.9772 key resistance. Decisive break there will suggest that whole down trend form 1.0342 has completed. In that case, near term outlook will be turned bullish for 0.9860/1.0099 resistance zone. Nonetheless, with 0.9772 resistance intact, outlook remains bearish. Below 0.9587 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.9420 low.

In the bigger picture, focus remains on whether 0.9443 key support (2016 low) could be taken out firmly as down trend from 1.0342 extends. There are various interpretation of the price actions. But in any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9772 resistance holds. Current down trend could extend to 38.2% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.9090. However, break of 0.9772 will indicate that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 again and turn outlook bullish for 1.0099 resistance.

As the fall from 1.0037 extends, focus is now on 0.9835 resistance turned support. Decisive break there will argue that whole rebound form 0.9420 is completed and turn outlook bearish. In that case, USD/CHF should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9565 and possibly below. Nonetheless strong rebound from 0.9835 will retain near term bullishness. And, break of 1.0047 will extend the rise from 0.9420 and target 1.0342 high.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could is a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as it’s still staying in range of 1.0019/0342 in spite of dollar weakness elsewhere. As long as 1.0019 support holds, further rally is still mildly in favor. Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside at this point. Current rally from 0.8332 should target 100% projection projection of 0.8550 to 0.8884 from 0.8728 at 0.9062. Firm break there will target 0.9243 key medium term resistance next. On the downside, below 0.8964 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first. But outlook will stay bullish as long as 0.8884 resistance turned support holds.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom as tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rise would be seen as long as 0.8728 support holds. But upside should be limited by 0.9243 resistance, at least on first attempt.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0011; (P) 1.0027; (R1) 1.0044; More…..

USD/CHF surges sharply today but stays below 1.0118 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Near term outlook stays cautiously bullish as long as 0.9929 minor support holds. Fall from 1.0342 could have finished at 0.9860 already. Above 1.0118 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0342. However, break of 0.9929 will likely extend the decline from 1.0342 through 0.9860 low.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection from 1.0327 resistance argues that USD/CHF is staying in a medium term sideway pattern. In any case, decisive break of 1.0342 resistance is needed to confirm underlying strength. Otherwise, we’ll stay neutral in the pair first. In case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.9443/9548 support zone. Meanwhile firm break of 1.0342 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9910; (P) 0.9943; (R1) 0.9963; More….

USD/CHF’s consolidation from 0.9990 is in progress and intraday bias remains neutral. Deeper retreat cannot be ruled out. But downside should be contained by 0.9856 resistance turn support to bring another rally. As note before, corrective pull back from 1.0128 has completed at 0.9716 already. Above 0.9990 will extend the rise from 0.9716 to retest 1.0128 high.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Break of 0.9963 will affirm this bullish case. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9812; (P) 0.9854; (R1) 0.9894; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with a temporary low in place at 0.9812. Some consolidation could be seen. But deeper fall is still expected as long as 0.9959 resistance holds. Below 0.9812 will extend the current decline from 1.0342 to 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9860 from 1.0169 at 0.9687 and possibly below. However, break of 0.9959 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.0022).

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is staying in medium term sideway pattern between 0.9443/1.0342. In any case, decisive break of 1.0342 resistance is needed to confirm underlying strength. Otherwise, we’ll stay neutral in the pair first. In case of deeper fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.9443/9548 support zone.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for 1.0107 resistance. Current development revived the case that correction from 1.0342 is already completed at 0.9812. Break of 1.0107 will bring a retest on 1.0342 high. On the downside, below 1.0037 minor support will turn bias neutral and bring consolidation first before staging another rise.

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

Rejection by 0.9243 resistance, followed by sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883 will strengthen this case, and maintain medium term bearishness. In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s choppy correction from 1.0037 extended lower last week but it is held above 0.9835 resistance turned support so far. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the upside, firm break of 1.0037 resistance will extend the rise from 0.9420 and target 1.0342 high. However, sustained break of 0.9835 will argue that whole rebound form 0.9420 is completed and turn outlook bearish. In that case, USD/CHF should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9565 and possibly below.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could be a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

In the long term picture, while upside momentum is unconvincing, with 0.9443 key support intact, rise from 0.7065 (2011 low) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0342 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 (2000 high) to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

Break of 0.8339 will resume the decline from 0.9223 and target 61.8% projection of 0.9049 to 0.8431 from 0.8747 at 0.8365, and then 0.8332 low. However, firm break of 0.8540 will turn bias back to the upside for 0.8747 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 (2023 low) are currently seen as a medium term corrective pattern, with fall from 0.9223 as the second leg. Strong support could be seen from 0.8332 to bring rebound. Yet, overall outlook will continue to stay bearish as long as 0.9243 resistance holds. Firm break of 0.8332, however, will resume larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high).

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the upside for the moment. The rebound from 0.9860 has just resumed. Further rally would be seen to retest 1.0342 high. Otherwise, further rally will remain mildly in favor in case of retreat.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9881 resistance will indicate completion of the pull back from 1.0037. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0037. Below 0.9734 will extend the pull back. But we’ll look for bottoming again below 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9656.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.
