USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9585; (P) 0.9611; (R1) 0.9641; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Near term outlook is a bit mixed. On the one hand, USD/CHF drew strong support from 0.9443 and rebounded. On the other hand, it is bounded inside medium term falling channel and limited below 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783. On the downside, break of 0.9582 support will dampen our bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437. This could also extend the fall from 1.0342 through 0.9437/43 key support level. On the upside, above 0.9772 will revive the bullish case of reversal and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level. And long term range trading in 0.9443/1.0342 is extending with another rise. At this point, there is no sign of an up trend yet. Hence, while further rise is expected in USD/CHF, we’ll start to be cautious on loss of momentum above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9996. However, firm break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and would target next key support at 0.9072.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9300; (P) 0.9327; (R1) 0.9375; More….

USD/CHF’s rally resumes by taking out 0.9331 resistance and intraday bias is back on the upside. Rise from 0.8925 is in progress for 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will carry larger bullish implications. For now, further rally will remain in favor as long as 0.9214 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the strong rally above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9190) now tilts favor to the case of bullish trend reversal. That is, decline from 1.3042 (2016 high) is probably completed at 0.8756 already. Sustained break of 0.9471 resistance should confirm this case and pave the way to retest 1.0342 ahead. However, rejection by 0.9471 will mix up the outlook again and retain some medium term bearishness.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9637; (P) 0.9682; (R1) 0.9730; More

With 0.9633 minor support intact, intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for further rise. Prior break of 0.9699 resistance suggests near term reversal after defending 0.9443 key support. Further rally should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783 first. Break will target channel resistance (now at 0.9899). On the downside, below 0.9633 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9600; (P) 0.9634; (R1) 0.9683; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9772 resistance will revive the bullish case of reversal. That is, whole decline from 1.0342 has completed at 0.9437 after defending 0.9443 support. USD/CHF should then target channel resistance (now at 0.9862) next. Meanwhile, the pair is bounded inside medium term falling channel and limited below 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783 for the moment. Break of 0.9582 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437. This could also extend the fall from 1.0342 through 0.9437/43 key support level.

In the bigger picture, we’re slightly favoring the case that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level.

USD/CHF’s consolidation pattern from 1.0342 is still in progress and intraday bias remains neutral. In case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from 1.0019 to contain downside and bring rally resumption. Firm break of 1.0342 will confirm up trend resumption. However, sustained break of 1.0019 will indicate near term reversal and could bring deeper fall bring to 0.9443/9548 support zone.

In the bigger picture, the corrective fall from 1.0327 should have completed at 0.9443 already. Rise from 0.9443 could be resuming the long term rally from 2011 low at 0.7065. But decisive break of 1.0327 is needed to confirm. In that case, next medium term upside target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359. Rejection from 1.0327 will extend the sideway pattern with another fall back to 0.9443/9548 support zone.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9447; (P) 0.9461; (R1) 0.9478; More

With 0.9492 minor resistance intact, intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for further decline. Sustained trading below 0.9443 key support will extend the down trend from 1.0342 to 161.8% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9860 from 1.0099 at 0.9319. On the upside, above 0.9492 minor resistance will turn bias neutral and bring recovery. But outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.9699 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, focus is now back 0.9443 key support level. Sustained break there indicate underlying bearish momentum and would target 0.9 handle and possibly below. Meanwhile, strong rebound from current level and break 0.9699 resistance will extend long term range trading between 0.9443/1.0342.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9897; (P) 0.9917; (R1) 0.9945; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as consolidation from 0.9854 is in progress. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. In case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 1.0008 support turned resistance and bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9854 will extend the decline from 1.0237 to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712).

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF’s break of long term trend line support is the first indication of medium term reversal. Focus is now back on 0.9879 support. Sustained break should confirm that medium term up trend from 0.9186 has completed at 1.0237 already. Further fall should be seen to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712) next. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 0.9587.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8975; (P) 0.9035; (R1) 0.9064; More….

USD/CHF’s fall from 0.9471 is still in progress. Intraday bias stays on the downside for retesting 0.8756 low. On the upside, break of 0.9163 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain mildly bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. Medium term bearish is also affirmed as the pair is now far below falling 55 week EMA. Firm break of 0.8756 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.0237 to 0.8756 from 0.9471 at 0.8556 next.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9907; (P) 0.9975; (R1) 1.0018; More…..

USD/CHF drops to as low as 0.9860 so far as fall from 1.0342 continues. Such decline is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0327. Intraday bias remains on the downside for 61.8% retracement of 0.9443 to 1.0342 at 0.9786 and below. On the upside, however, break of 1.0043 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay mildly bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still expecting the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment as the pull back from 1.0169 continues. At this point, with 1.0008 support intact, further rise is mildly in favor. Above 1.0169 will turn bias to the upside and target a test on 1.0342 resistance. Based on neutral medium term outlook, we’d be cautious on topping below 1.0342. On the downside, break of 1.0008, however, will indicate completion of the rebound from 0.9860. And intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 0.9860.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection from 1.0327 resistance argues that USD/CHF is staying in a medium term sideway pattern. In any case, decisive break of 1.0342 resistance is needed to confirm underlying strength. Otherwise, we’ll stay neutral in the pair first. In case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.9443/9548 support zone.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8968; (P) 0.8979; (R1) 0.9000; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the upside at this point. Fall from 0.9223 could have completed a three-wave corrective move to 0.8825. Intraday bias is back on the upside for channel resistance (now at 0.9039). Firm break there will target 0.9157 resistance next. On the downside, below 0.8956 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral gain first.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance affirms this case, and maintains medium term bearishness. While more range trading could be seen between 0.8332/0.9243 first, downside break out is mildly in favor at a later stage.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9632; (P) 0.9672; (R1) 0.9708; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Another rise is expected as long as 0.9594 support holds. Prior break of 0.9699 resistance suggests near term reversal after defending 0.9443 key support. Above 0.9726 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783 first. Break will target channel resistance (now at 0.9899). However, firm break of 0.9594 will dampen this bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level. And long term range trading in 0.9443/1.0342 is extending with another rise. At this point, there is no sign of an up trend yet. Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays on the upside as rise from 0.9420 is in progress. As noted before, medium term fall from 1.0342 should have completed at 0.9420 already. Further rally would be seen back to 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0342 high. However, break of 0.9736 support will mixed up the near term outlook and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9587 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could develop into a medium term move and target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9587 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

USD/CHF rebounds strongly today and intraday bias is turned neutral first. With 0.9881 minor resistance intact, deeper fall cannot be ruled out. Break of 0.9734 will target 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9656. Nonetheless, as choppy fall from 1.0037 is seen as a correction, we’ll look for bottoming again below 0.9656 and above 0.9420. On the upside, break of 0.9881 resistance will now indicate completion of the decline. And intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.0037.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.
