USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9197; (P) 0.9218; (R1) 0.9252; More….

USD/CHF recovered quickly after dipping to 0.9183. But further fall is still in favor with 0.9272 resistance holds. Considering bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, firm break of 0.9162 will argue that whole rise from 0.8925 has completed and target this support. On the upside, break of 0.9272 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 0.9367 instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not completed yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum of assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9893; (P) 0.9939; (R1) 0.9977; More

USD/CHF’s pull back from 0.9983 extends lower today. But it’s still holding well above 0.9854 support. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9975 will confirm completion of fall form 1.0237. Further rally would then be seen to retest this high. On the downside, though, break of 0.9854 will turn intraday bias to the downside for 0.9659 low.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9627; (P) 0.9645; (R1) 0.9670; More…..

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook. Intraday bias remains on the downside and current fall would likely pass through 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9860 from 1.0099 at 0.9617. But we’d start to look for bottoming signal again as it approaches 0.9443 key support level. On the upside, above 0.9669 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But near term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9807 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0040; (P) 1.0070; (R1) 1.0106; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, decisive break of 1.0119 resistance will suggest that decline from 1.0237 is merely a correction and has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0237. That will also retain medium term bullishness in the pair. On the downside, however, firm break of 1.0008 should pave the way to retest 0.9879 key support next.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is losing upside momentum ahead of 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). There is no clear sign of reversal yet. But even in case of another rise, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. On the downside, break of 0.9879 support will suggest that larger rise from 0.9186 (2018 low) has completed. Deeper fall will be seen to 0.9716 support for confirmation.
