USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9061; (P) 0.9078; (R1) 0.9100; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9005 is extending. Further decline is in favor as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 0.9099) holds. On the downside, break of 0.9005 and sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 0.9000) will bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883. However, firm break of 55 4H EMA will suggest that the pull back has completed, and bring stronger rebound to retest 0.9223 high.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance, followed by sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883 will strengthen this case, and maintain medium term bearishness. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish for 1.0146.

USD/CHF’s break of 0.9116 support suggests resumption of fall from 0.9273. It also affirms the case that rebound from 0.8925 has completed. Intraday bias is back on the downside for retesting 0.8925 support next. On the upside, above 0.9166 minor resistance will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high. But, rejection by 0.9471 again will revive bearishness for another fall through 0.8756 low.

USD/CHF is still bounded in consolidation from 0.9331 and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Overall, further rally is expected as long as 0.9162 support holds. On the upside, break of 0.9331 will target 0.9471 key resistance. Sustained break there will carry larger bullish implications. However, break of 0.9162 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support instead.

In the bigger picture, the strong rally above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9175) now tilts favor to the case of bullish trend reversal. That is, decline from 1.3042 (2016 high) is probably completed at 0.8756 already. Sustained break of 0.9471 resistance should confirm this case and pave the way to retest 1.0342 ahead. However, rejection by 0.9471 will mix up the outlook again and retain some medium term bearishness.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0015; (P) 1.0035; (R1) 1.0060; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Near term bullish outlook is unchanged. That is, corrective from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9812. And, rise from 0.9548 is resuming. On the upside, break of 1.0107 will turn bias to the upside for 1.0169 resistance. Break there should confirm our bullish view and should target a test on 1.0342 key resistance next. However, below 0.9980 will dampen this bullish case and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9812 low.

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the cross. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 to 0.9812 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. Consolidation from 0.9691 could extend and stronger recovery cannot be ruled out. Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as the consolidation from 1.0037 is still in progress. Another fall could be seen. But still, downside should be contained above 0.9835 resistance turned support and bring rally resumption. Since 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990 is already met, break of 1.0037 will turn bias to the upside for 1.0342 key resistance next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could is a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with current retreat, and some consolidations would be seen first. Downside should be contained by 0.8727 resistance turned support to bring another rally. On the upside, above 0.8884 will resume the rise from 0.8332 to 100% projection of 0.8332 to 0.8727 from 0.8550 at 0.8954. Firm break there will pave the way to 161.8% projection at 0.9189.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be formed at 0.8332, on bullish convergence condition in W MACD, just ahead of 0.8317 long term fibonacci support, on bullish convergence condition in W MACD. It’s still early to decide if the larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) is reversing. But further rise should be seen to 0.9243 resistance even as a correction.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9995; (P) 1.0009; (R1) 1.0028; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, above 1.0098 will target 1.0128 first. Break will confirm resumption of up trend from 0.9186. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.9541 to 1.0128 from 0.9716 at 1.0303. However, sustained break of 0.9988 will indicate rejection by 1.0128 and turn intraday bias to the downside for 0.9716 support again.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF drew strong support from medium term trend line and rebounded. That suggests rise from 0.9186 is still in progress. Further break of 1.0128 will confirm up trend resumption and target 1.0342 key resistance. Nevertheless, break of 0.9716 will dampen this bullish view and at least bring deeper fall to 0.9541 key support.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral with focus on 1.0010 minor resistance. Firm break there will suggest that pull back from 1.0124 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.0124/28 resistance zone. On the downside, break of 0.9879 will resume the fall from 1.0124 to 0.9716 key support.

In the bigger picture, focus is back on medium term trend line (now at 0.9849). Decisive break there will argue that whole rise from 0.9186 has completed. Further break of 0.9716 will confirm reversal and target next support level at 0.9541. Nevertheless, there is still a chance that price action from 1.0128 are forming a consolidative pattern with fall from 1.0124 as third leg. If this is the case, stronger support should be seen between 0.9716 and the trend line to contain downside.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9179; (P) 0.9203; (R1) 0.9226; More….

USD/CHF is still staying in familiar range and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 0.9149 will turn focus to 0.9098 support. Break there will target further decline to 0.9017 support. On the upside, break of 0.9239/41 will target 0.9273 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still struggling around 55 week EMA (now at 0.9178) and outlook is mixed for now. Confirmed rejection by the 55 week EMA will retain medium term bearishness. That is, larger fall from 1.0342 would resume through 0.8756 low at a later stage. However, sustained trading above 55 week EMA will tilt favor to the case of bullish reversal. Focus would then be turned to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0086; (P) 1.0111; (R1) 1.0135; More…..

USD/CHF’s break of 1.0019 support confirms short term topping at 1.0342. More importantly, rise from 0.9443 has completed at 1.0342 after failing to sustain above 1.0327 key resistance. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for 0.9443/9548 support zone. On the upside, above 1.0135 minor resistance will turn focus back to 1.0342 resistance intact.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still extend the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

At this point, USD/CHF is still staying above 0.9704 resistance turned support and intraday bias remains neutral first. USD/CHF recovers today but stays well inside range of 0.9098/9241. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 0.9241 resistance should resume the rise from 0.8925 through 0.9273. On the downside, break of 0.9098 will target 0.9017 support first. Further break there will likely resume the decline from 0.9471 through 0.8925 low.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9180) retains medium term bearishness in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9634; (P) 0.9659; (R1) 0.9686; More

USD/CHF’s fall from 1.0048 resumes today and deeper decline could be seen. But it’s seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.0063. Strong support should be seen at around 0.9543 to contain downside to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9731 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9585; (P) 0.9611; (R1) 0.9641; More

USD/CHF’s strong rebound and break of 0.9674 minor resistance argues that pull back from 0.9772 is completed at 0.9582 already. Intraday bias is turned back to the upside for 0.9772 first. Decisive break there will revive the bullish case of reversal. That is, whole decline from 1.0342 has completed at 0.9437 after defending 0.9443 support. However, the pair is bounded inside medium term falling channel and limited below 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783 for the moment. Break of 0.9582 will dampen our bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437. This could also extend the fall from 1.0342 through 0.9437/43 key support level.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level. And long term range trading in 0.9443/1.0342 is extending with another rise. At this point, there is no sign of an up trend yet. Hence, while further rise is expected in USD/CHF, we’ll start to be cautious on loss of momentum above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9996. However, firm break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and would target next key support at 0.9072.

Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0342 high. USD/CHF is staying in consolidation from 0.9148 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further decline is still in favor with 0.9251 minor resistance intact. Corrective rise from 0.8927 should be complete with three waves up to 0.9367, on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD. Below 0.9148 will target 0.9017 support first, and then 0.8925 support next. On the upside, however, break of 0.9251 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 0.9367 instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not completed yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

We’d start to look for bottoming signal again as it approaches 0.9443 key support level. On the upside, above 0.9669 minor resistance will now indicate short term bottoming. In such in case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9807 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level.
