USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9980; (P) 1.0002; (R1) 1.0023; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the downside at this point. Consolidation from 1.0227 is in it’s third down leg. Deeper fall could be seen to 0.9868 support, and possibly below. On the upside, though, decisive break of 1.0027 will confirm resumption of larger rally from 0.9659.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9788; (P) 0.9804; (R1) 0.9832; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as recovery from 0.9776 temporary low continues. As long as 0.9946 resistance holds, another fall is still expected. Below 0.9776 will extend the decline from 1.0037 to 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9656. We’ll look for bottoming again below 0.9656 and above 0.9420. On the upside, break of 0.9946 resistance will indicate that the decline from 1.0037 has completed and bring retest of this resistance.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8839; (P) 0.8852; (R1) 0.8866; More….

USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.8821/8925 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the upside, decisive break of 0.8925 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 0.8756. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9193. Though, break of 0.8821 minor support will retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.8756 low next.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9295 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9832; (P) 0.9863; (R1) 0.9887; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as it’s staying in tight range of 0.9787/9911. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9911 minor resistance will suggest that the corrective pull back from 1.0056 is already completed. Intraday bias would then be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0056 first. On the downside, below 0.9787 will extend the correction. But we’d expect strong support from 0.9724 fibonacci level to contain downside and bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9886; (P) 0.9938; (R1) 0.9981; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the downside for the 0.9848 support. Firm break there will confirm near term reversal and target target 61.8% retracement of 0.9541 to 1.0128 at 0.9765. On the upside, though, break of 1.0008 resistance will indicate that the pull back from 1.0128 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0128 high.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9541 could have topped at 1.0128. But as long as 0.9541 support holds, we’d still expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage. Break of 1.0128 will target 1.0342 key resistance. However, break of 0.9541 will pave the way back to 0.9186 low.

USD/CHF’s fall from 1.0342 resumed after breaking 0.9958 temporary low. Intraday bias is back on the downside for deeper decline. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0327. Next target will be 61.8% retracement of 0.9443 to 1.0342 at 0.9786 and below. On the upside, however, break of 1.0043 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still expecting the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9788; (P) 0.9804; (R1) 0.9832; More….

USD/CHF formed a temporary low at 0.9776 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. Another fall is expected as long as 0.9946 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9950; (P) 0.9973; (R1) 1.0014; More

USD/CHF’s recovery from 0.9879 extends higher, but stays below 1.0010 minor resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first and further decline remains mildly in favor. On the downside, below 0.9879 will resume the fall from 1.0124 to 0.9716 key support. Nevertheless, break of 1.0010 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0124/28 resistance zone.

In the bigger picture, focus is back on medium term trend line (now at 0.9849). Decisive break there will argue that whole rise from 0.9186 has completed. Further break of 0.9716 will confirm reversal and target next support level at 0.9541. Nevertheless, there is still a chance that price action from 1.0128 are forming a consolidative pattern with fall from 1.0124 as third leg. If this is the case, stronger support should be seen between 0.9716 and the trend line to contain downside.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF retreated again after edging higher to 0.8727 last week. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. On the downside, below 0.8605 will resume the pull back from 0.8727 to 0.8487 support. Break there will argue that rebound from 0.8332 has completed, and bring retest of this low. On the upside, firm break of 0.8727 will resume the rebound to 61.8% retracement of 0.9243 to 0.8332 at 0.8995 instead.

In the bigger picture, while rebound from 0.8332 could be strong, there is no clear sign of medium term bottoming yet. This rebound is tentatively seen as a corrective move for now. Also, outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9243 resistance holds. Larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) should resume through 0.8332 low at a later stage.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign that down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high) has completed. With 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359 intact, outlook is neutral at best.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF stayed in consolidation above 0.9551 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 0.9770 resistance and bring fall resumption. Break of 0.9551 will extend the whole fall from 1.0342 and target 0.9443 key support level next. At this point, we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. Meanwhile, firm break of 0.9770 will indicate near term reversal, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9468; (P) 0.9499; (R1) 0.9516; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9554 will resume the rebound from 0.9376 short term bottoming. Sustained trading above 55 day EMA (now at 0.9630) will pave the way back to 0.9901 resistance. Though, on the downside, break of 0.9376 will resume the fall from 0.9901 instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound form 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9187; (P) 0.9274; (R1) 0.9329; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside as fall from 0.9372 will target 0.9084 support first. Firm break there will argue that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and fall from 0.9471 is resuming. Deeper decline would be seen through 0.8925. For now, risk will stay mildly on the downside as long as 0.9372 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8954; (P) 0.8978; (R1) 0.9001; More….

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook, as further decline is expected with 0.9046 resistance intact. Current fall from 0.9471 should target a test on 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9046 resistance will now indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. Medium term bearish is also affirmed as the pair is now far below falling 55 week EMA. Firm break of 0.8756 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.0237 to 0.8756 from 0.9471 at 0.8556 next.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8855; (P) 0.8891; (R1) 0.8949; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidations continue above 0.8825. Outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.8992 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.8825 will resume the fall from 0.9223. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8672.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance affirms this case, and maintains medium term bearishness. While more range trading could be seen between 0.8332/0.9243 first, downside break out is mildly in favor at a later stage.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9929; (P) 0.9949; (R1) 0.9974; More….

USD/CHF is still staying in consolidation from 1.0037 and intraday bias remains neutral first. We’d continue to expect downside to be contained above 0.9835 resistance turned support and bring rally resumption. On the upside break of 1.0037 will resume whole rally from 0.9420. And with sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990, USD/CHF should then target a test on 1.0342 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could is a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9522; (P) 0.9572; (R1) 0.9601; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. On the upside, break of 0.9650, and sustained trading above 55 day EMA (now at 0.9650) will raise the chance that corrective pattern from 1.0063 has completed. Further rally should then be seen to 0.9884 resistance next. However, decisive break of 0.9471 support will carry larger bearish implication.

In the bigger picture, medium term up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target is 1.0342 (2016 high). Sustained break there will resume long term up trend from 0.7065 (2011 low). This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, firm break of 0.9471 will raise the chance that such up trend is over. Sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 0.9424) could bring deeper medium term fall back to 0.9149 support and below.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9632; (P) 0.9664; (R1) 0.9688; More….

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as it’s bounded in range of 0.9582/9772. Intraday bias remains neutral at this moment. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9772 resistance will revive the bullish case of reversal. That is, whole decline from 1.0342 has completed at 0.9437 after defending 0.9443 support. USD/CHF should then target channel resistance (now at 0.9849) next. Meanwhile, the pair is bounded inside medium term falling channel and limited below 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783 for the moment. Break of 0.9582 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437. This could also extend the fall from 1.0342 through 0.9437/43 key support level.

In the bigger picture, we’re slightly favoring the case that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level. And long term range trading in 0.9443/1.0342 is extending with another rise. At this point, there is no sign of an up trend yet. Hence, while further rise is expected in USD/CHF, we’ll start to be cautious on loss of momentum above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9996. However, firm break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and would target next key support at 0.9072.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9567; (P) 0.9613; (R1) 0.9642; More

USD/CHF’s fall from 0.9884 is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the downside. Such decline is seen as a falling leg of the consolidation from 1.0063. Deeper decline would be seen to 0.9493 support. On the upside, though, above 0.9666 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9884 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9258; (P) 0.9282; (R1) 0.9316; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Choppy rise from 0.8925 would still be in favor to extend higher as long as 0.9090 support holds. Break of 0.9341 will target 0.9372 resistance and then 0.9471. On the downside, however, break of 0.9090 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8925 support.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9265; (P) 0.9298; (R1) 0.9327; More

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and outlook is unchanged. Intraday bias stays on the downside, and further decline is in favor with 0.9378 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 0.9214 will resume the fall and target 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9355 from 0.9545 at 0.9056. However, break of 0.9378 resistance will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9545 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.9545 resistance holds.
