USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9891; (P) 0.9913; (R1) 0.9936; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9977 is still extending. As long as 0.9881 support holds, we’re favoring the bullish case. That is correction from 1.0037 has completed at 0.9734 already. Break of 0.9977 will target 1.0037 high first. Break there will resume rise from 0.9420 to 61.8% projection of 0.9420 to 0.9734 from 1.0047 at 1.0115 next. Nevertheless, firm break of 0.9881 support will dampen this immediate bullish case and turn bias to the downside for 0.9734 instead.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s strong rally and break of 0.9273 last week confirms resumption of rise from 0.8925. Initial bias is now on the upside this week for 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will carry larger bullish implications. On the downside, though, below 0.9258 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring some consolidations first.

In the bigger picture, the strong rally above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9182) now tilts favor to the case of bullish trend reversal. That is, decline from 1.3042 (2016 high) is probably completed at 0.8756 already. Sustained break of 0.9471 resistance should confirm this case and pave the way to retest 1.0342 ahead. However, rejection by 0.9471 will mix up the outlook again and retain some medium term bearishness.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s recovery from was limited at 0.9200 last week and reversed since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the downside, break of 0.8998 will resume larger down trend. Nevertheless, break of 0.9200 will resume the rebound towards 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8998 at 0.9343.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low), which is still extending. Sustained trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0078; (P) 1.0155; (R1) 1.0255; More…..

USD/CHF is staying in range below 1.0342 and intraday bias remains neutral. Consolidation from there could extend. But still, as long as 1.0019 support holds, near term outlook remains bullish for further rally. Sustained break of 1.0327 key resistance will confirm up trend resumption and target 61.8% projection of 0.9548 to 1.0190 from 1.0019 at 1.0416 and then 100% projection at 1.0661. However, break of 1.0019 should confirm rejection from 1.0327 and turn near term outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, the corrective fall from 1.0327 should have completed at 0.9443 already. Rise from 0.9443 could be resuming the long term rally from 2011 low at 0.7065. But decisive break of 1.0327 is needed to confirm. In that case, next medium term upside target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359. Rejection from 1.0327 will extend the sideway pattern with another fall back to 0.9443/9540 support zone.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9295; (P) 0.9338; (R1) 0.9363; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is mildly on the downside at this point. Pull back from 0.9459 short term top is on track to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9248). On the upside, above 0.9381 minor resistance will flip bias back to the upside. Firm break of 0.9471 will resume the rise from 0.8756 to 61.8% projection of 0.8756 to 0.9471 from 0.9090 at 0.9532.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that whole down trend form 1.0342 (2016 high), has completed with waves down to 0.8756. A medium term up trend should be set up to target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9513; (P) 0.9538; (R1) 0.9558; More

USD/CHF’s corrective rise from 0.9186 could still extend higher. However, we’d expect strong resistance from 0.9626 key fibonacci level to limit upside. On the downside, break of 0.9432 support will indicate near term reversal and completion of rebound from 0.9186. In this case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9186 low. However, sustained break of 0.9626 will be another evidence of larger reversal. In this case, further rise would be seen to next fibonacci level at 0.9900.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Main focus is on 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 (2016 high) to 0.9186 (2018 low) at 0.9626. Sustained break there will add to the case of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9900 and above). However, rejection from 0.9626 will maintain medium term bearishness for another low below 0.9186.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8936; (P) 0.8968; (R1) 0.8984; More

USD/CHF dips notably but stays above 0.8900 support for now. Intraday bias stays neutral first while further decline is expected. On the downside, break of 0.8900 will resume the fall from 0.9146 to 0.8818 low or below. On the upside, above 0.9015 will bring stronger rise towards 0.9146 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). While further decline cannot be ruled out, strong support is expected from 0.8756 long term support to bring reversal. Firm break of 0.9146 resistance should confirm medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9929; (P) 0.9944; (R1) 0.9960; More

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation above 0.9908 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Another fall could be seen with 1.0006 minor support intact. Break of 38.2% retracement of 0.9541 to 1.0128 at 0.9904 will target 0.9848 key support level. On the upside, above 1.0006 minor resistance will indicate that the pull back has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0128 high.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading. However, break of 0.9848 near term support will dampen this view and bring deeper decline back to 0.9541 support and possibly below.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9558; (P) 0.9578; (R1) 0.9604; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9551 temporary low. Upside of recovery should be limited below 0.9770 resistance and bring resumption. Below 0.9551 will extend the decline from 1.0342 to 0.94443 key support level. At this point, we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9651 temporary low. Upside of recovery should be limited by 0.9775 minor resistance to bring another fall. On the downside, break of 0.9651 will target 200% projection of 1.0067 to 0.9866 from 0.9981 at 0.8579 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

Range trading continued in USD/CHF last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. Choppy rise from 0.8925 would still be in favor to extend higher as long as 0.9090 support holds. Break of 0.9341 will target 0.9372 resistance and then 0.9471. On the downside, however, break of 0.9090 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8925 support.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9103; (P) 0.9142; (R1) 0.9164; More….

USD/CHF is extending the consolidation from 0.9243 and intraday bias remains neutral. Near term outlook will stay bullish as long as 0.9089 support holds. On the upside, break of 0.9243 will resume the rally from 0.8551 and target 0.9439 resistance next. However, firm break of 0.9089 will confirm short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper pull back.

In the bigger picture, current development indicates that rise from 0.8551 is reversing whole down trend from 1.0146. Further rally would then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.9537 and above. For now, this will be the favored case as long as 55 D EMA (now at 0.8963) holds, even in case of deep pullback.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8482; (P) 0.8507; (R1) 0.8549; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. Consolidation from 0.8332 is in progress and stronger recovery cannot be ruled out. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.8665 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.8332 will resume larger fall from 0.9243 to 0.8257 projection level.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) is in progress. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 from 0.9243 at 0.8257. Sustained break there could prompt downside acceleration to 100% projection at 0.7648. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.8819 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9890; (P) 0.9903; (R1) 0.9919; More

USD/CHF’s break of 0.9904 minor resistance suggests that pull back from 1.0027 has completed at 0.9841, after drawing support from 0.9843 support. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.0027 first. However, on the downside, sustained break of 0.9843 support will indicate that choppy rebound from 0.9659 has completed at 1.0027. Deeper fall should be seen to 0.9659 support and below.

In the bigger picture, corrective fall from 1.0237 should have completed at 0.9659 already, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9844; (P) 0.9865; (R1) 0.9894; More….

USD/CHF’s rally from accelerates to as high as 0.9940 so far and intraday bias remains on the upside for 1.0037 resistance. Firm break there will confirm resumption of whole rise from 0.9420 and target 61.8% projection of 0.9420 to 0.9734 from 1.0047 at 1.0115 next. On the downside, below 0.9871 minor support will dampen the immediate bullish case and turn intraday bias neutral first.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays mildly on the upside for channel resistance (now at 0.9034). Fall from 0.9223 might have completed as a three-wave corrective move to 0.8825. Firm break of channel resistance will target 0.9157 resistance next. On the downside, below 0.8956 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral gain first.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance affirms this case, and maintains medium term bearishness. While more range trading could be seen between 0.8332/0.9243 first, downside breakout is mildly in favor at a later stage.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s strong rebound last week suggests that pull back from 0.9273 has completed with three waves down to 0.9017. Initial bias is back on the upside for 0.9273 resistance first. Break there will resume rise form 0.8925 to 100% projection of 0.8925 to 0.9273 from 0.9017 at 0.9365. On the downside, below 0.9085 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support instead.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9183) retains medium term bearish in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8847; (P) 0.8871; (R1) 0.8893; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.8851 is still extending. In case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 0.8982 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.8851 will target 61.8% projection of 0.9901 to 0.8998 from 0.9304 at 0.8746 next.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9304 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9161; (P) 0.9180; (R1) 0.9220; More….

USD/CHF rises to as high as 0.9252 so far today and intraday bias stays on the upside. Next target is 0.9295 resistance and break will carry larger bullish implications. Rise from 0.8756 should then target 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464. On the downside, break of 0.9135 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral again. But further rally is expected as long as 0.9044 resistance turned support holds.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). Firm break of 0.9295 resistance, and sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9227), will suggest that the pattern has completed. In this case, further rise could be seen back to 1.0237/0342 resistance zone in the medium term. Though, rejection by 0.9295 will retain medium term bearishness for 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point, with focus on 0.9977 resistance. . On the upside, break of 0.9977 will suggest that the pull back from 1.0067 has completed. And that will bring retest of 1.0067 first. Decisive break there will resume larger rally from 0.9186. On the downside, below 0.9866 will extend the fall from 1.0067 through 0.9856 to 0.9787 support. As price actions from 1.0056 are seen as a corrective pattern, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 is extending with another leg. As long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds, we’d expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage to retest 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). However, sustained break of 0.9724 fibonacci level will bring deeper fall, as another declining leg in the long term range pattern.
