USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9036; (P) 0.9058; (R1) 0.9082; More

USD/CHF’s recovery from 0.9005 extends higher today but stays below 0.9118 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, break of 0.9005 and sustained trading below 38.2% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9058 from 0.9439 at 0.9023 will extend the down trend from 1.0146 to 61.8% projection at 0.8767. However, break of 0.9118 will indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9439 resistance holds, and fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is still in progress. Prior rejection by 55 week EMA was a medium term bearish sign. Sustained of 0.9058 will resume such decline towards 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, this fall is still as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9154; (P) 0.9192; (R1) 0.9215; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral as range trading continues. On the downside, break of 0.9116 support will affirm the case that rebound from 0.8925 has completed at 0.9273. Deeper fall would then be seen back to retest 0.8925 low. On the upside, however, break of 0.9273 and sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262 will target 0.9471 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high. But, rejection by 0.9471 again will revive bearishness for another fall through 0.8756 low.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9965; (P) 1.0026; (R1) 1.0062; More

At this point, USD/CHF remains bounded in range of 0.9952/1.0128. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Also, near term outlook stays bullish with 0.9952 support intact and further rally is in favor. On the upside, above 1.0128 will resume the whole rise from 0.9186 and target 1.0342 key resistance next. However, firm break of 0.9952 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper fall back to 0.9848 support first.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading. However, break of 0.9848 near term support will dampen this view and bring deeper decline back to 0.9541 support and possibly below.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9710; (P) 0.9766; (R1) 0.9799; More….

USD/CHF’s decline from 1.0128 accelerated to as low as 0.9716. The deeper than expected decline suggests that fall from 1.0128 is correcting whole rise from 0.9186. Intraday bias remains on the downside for next key level at 0.9541 (61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0128 at 0.9546). On the upside, above 0.9787 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But break of 0.9963 resistance is needed to confirm completion of the fall. Otherwise, deeper decline will remain in favor even in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 has possibly completed with three waves up to 1.0128 already. Decline from 1.0128 could either be correcting this move, or reversing the trend. As long as 0.9541 support holds, we’d slightly favor the former scenario, and expect another rise through 1.0128 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 0.9541 will confirm trend reversal and bring deeper fall back to 0.9186 low.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9929; (P) 0.9959; (R1) 0.9983; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral fir the moment. With 0.9894 minor support intact, another rise is in favor. The corrective fall from 1.0056 should have completed at 0.9787. Above 0.9989 will bring retest of 1.0056 first. Break will resume the rise from 0.9186 and target 61.8% projection of 0.9186 to 1.0056 from 0.9787 at 1.0325, which is close to 1.0342 key resistance. However, break of 0.9894 will likely extend the correction, possibly through 0.9787 before completion.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.9975 last week but reversed dropped sharply from there. The corrective recovery from 0.9695 could have completed with three waves up to 0.9975. Initial bias is mildly on the downside this week. Firm break of 0.9803 will confirm this bearish case and target 0.9695 and below. On the upside, though, break of 0.9975 will extend the rebound instead.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. However, sustained break of 1.0014 will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.0237 high.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9043; (P) 0.9056; (R1) 0.9076; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with current recovery and some consolidations could be seen. But risk will remain on the downside as long as 0.9223 resistance holds. Sustained break of 55 D EMA (now at 0.8996) will bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance, followed by sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8883 will strengthen this case, and maintain medium term bearishness. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish for 1.0146.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8892; (P) 0.8925; (R1) 0.8945; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment, and but further decline is expected as long as 0.9000 resistance holds. Below 0.8901 will resume the fall from 0.9243 to 61.8% retracement of 0.8551 to 0.9243 at 0.8815 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.8551 low. Nevertheless, break of 0.9000 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 55 D EMA (now at 0.8974) argues that rebound from 0.8551 might be completed as a correction at 0.9243. In other words, larger fall from 1.0146 (2022 high) is possibly not over yet. Risk will now stay on the downside as long as 0.9243 resistance holds. Firm break of 0.8551 will confirm down trend resumption.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8833; (P) 0.8866; (R1) 0.8885; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, decisive break of 0.8925 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 0.8756. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9193. Though, break of 0.8821 minor support will retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.8756 low next.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9294 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8616; (P) 0.8659; (R1) 0.8681; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Outlook stays bearish with 0.8818 support turned resistance intact. Break of 0.8553 will resume larger down trend from 1.0146. On the upside, above 0.8599 will resume the rebound towards 0.8818 instead.

In the bigger picture, the break of 0.8756 (2021 low) indicates break out from the long term range pattern. For now, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9146 resistance holds. Further fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317 next.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9868; (P) 0.9889; (R1) 0.9924; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. Further rise is in favor as long as 0.9798 support holds. Break of 0.9946 will target 0.9975 resistance first. But break of 0.9798 will turn bias to the downside for retesting 0.9659/9713 support zone instead.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9206; (P) 0.9225; (R1) 0.9262; More….

Outlook in USD/CHF remains unchanged as range trading continues. Intraday bias stays neutral. On the upside, break of 0.9274 will suggest that the pull back from 0.9372 is finished. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9372. On the downside, below 0.9156 will target 0.9084 support. Firm break there should confirm that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and suggests that fall from 0.9471 is resuming. Deeper decline would be seen through 0.8925.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9821; (P) 0.9874; (R1) 0.9908; More….

As long as 0.9895 minor resistance holds, intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for deeper fall. Decline from 0.9977 is part of the correction pattern from 1.0037. It could target 0.9734 support and below. But we’d We’d expect strong support from 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 0.1.0037 at 0.9656 to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9895 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9977 instead.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8995; (P) 0.9070; (R1) 0.9110; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. Fall from 0.9157 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 0.9223. Deeper fall would be seen to 0.8987 support. Break will target 100% projection of 0.9223 to 0.8987 from 0.9157 at 0.8921. On the upside, above 0.8904 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9158; (P) 0.9198; (R1) 0.9219; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation below 0.9237 temporary top first. On the upside, break of 0.9237 will resume the rise form 0.8925 to 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.9471 resistance. On the downside, however, sustained break of 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9092) will bring retest of 0.8925 low instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term bearishness is neutralized by strong break of 55 week EMA. Focus is back on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF jumped to as high as 0.9835 last week as rebound from 0.9420 extended. Upside momentum is still a bit unconvincing. But considering the sustained trading above medium term channel resistance, and break of 0.9777 resistance, we’re favoring the whole down trend form 1.0342 has completed after defending 0.9443 key support again. Further rise is now expected this week as long as 0.9708 support holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990. However, break of 0.9708 will mix up this bullish outlook and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9587 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could develop into a medium term move and target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9587 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

Break will target 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8998 at 0.9343. On the downside, break of 0.9030 will bring retest of 0.8998 low instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9659 temporary low. With 0.9797 minor resistance intact, further fall is expected. Break of 0.9659 will extend the decline from 1.0237 to 0.9587 fibonacci level first. Break will target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9695 from 0.9975 at 0.9433. However, break of 0.9797 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9875).

Nevertheless, break of 0.9975 resistance is needed to indicate completion of the decline from 1.0237. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9281; (P) 0.9320; (R1) 0.9350; More

USD/CHF is still bounded in range trading above 0.9288 temporary low at this point. And intraday bias remains neutral. Another recovery could be seen as consolidation extends. But after all, as long as 0.9448 minor resistance holds, near term outlook stays bearish. Break of 0.9288 will extend larger down trend to next key fibonacci level at 0.9115. Nonetheless, break of 0.9448 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, the strong break of 0.9420 support suggests that fall from 1.0342 is developing into a medium term down trend. Deeper fall should be seen to 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9420 from 1.0037 at 0.9115. Break will target 161.8% projection at 08545. In any case, break of 0.9640 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish even in case of strong rebound.

USD/CHF recovers after breaching 0.9741 minor support briefly. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, decisive break of 0.9741 suggest rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9613 at 0.9851 and retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9613 low. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9851 will add to the case of bullish near term reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9999 next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.
