USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s consolidation from 0.9954 continued last week and outlook is unchanged. Despite drawing support from 4 hour 55 EMA, upside is limited below 0.9954. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. In case of another fall, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9541 to 0.9954 at 0.9796 to bring rise resumption. On the upside, break of 0.9954 will target 1.0067 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9986; (P) 1.0040; (R1) 1.0066; More…..

USD/CHF’s fall from 1.0342 resumed by taking out 0.9995 and reaches as low as 0.9981 so far. Intraday bias is back on the downside. As noted before, rise from 0.9443 has completed at 1.0342 already, after failing to sustain above 1.0327 key resistance. Fall from there would now target 61.8% retracement of 0.9443 to 1.0342 at 0.9786 and below. On the upside, break of 1.0121 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, near term outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rejection from 1.0327 resistance suggests that consolidation pattern from there is still in progress. Fall from 1.0342 is seen as the third leg and retest of 0.9443/9548 support zone could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside. At this point, we’re still expect the larger rally to resume later to 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9178; (P) 0.9234; (R1) 0.9276; More

Outlook in USD/CHF is unchanged and intraday bias stays neutral. On the upside, firm break of 0.9287 resistance will confirm short term bottoming at 0.9058, and bring stronger rise to 0.9407 resistance. On the downside, however, sustained break of 0.9058 will resume larger decline from 1.0146 instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 should be a medium term down trend itself. Next target is a test on 0.8756 low. Strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. Still, further decline will now be expected as long as 0.9407 resistance holds, in any case.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9600; (P) 0.9627; (R1) 0.9663; More……

USD/CHF’s consolidation from 0.9551 is still in progress and intraday bias remains neutral. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 0.9770 resistance and bring fall resumption. Break of 0.9551 will extend the whole fall from 1.0342 and target 0.9443 key support level next. We’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. Meanwhile, firm break of 0.9770 will indicate near term reversal, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8836; (P) 0.8905; (R1) 0.8974; More

USD/CHF is bounded in range of 0.8818/8993 and intraday bias stays neutral. While down trend from 1.0146 could still extend lower, strong support should be seen from 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9058 from 0.9439 at 0.8767, which is close to 0.8756 long term support, to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. On the upside, break of 0.8993 resistance will indicate short term bottoming, on bullish convergence condition in 4H MACD, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal. Sustained break of 0.9058 support turned resistance will be the first sign of medium term bottoming. However, decisive break of 0.8756 will carry larger bearish implications.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9461; (P) 0.9488; (R1) 0.9522; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point. Recovery from 0.9369 should be limited well below 0.9648 resistance to bring another fall. On the downside, break of 0.9369 will resume larger decline from 1.0063 towards 0.9149 support next. However, firm break of 0.9648 will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9884 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, break of 0.9471 support turned resistance argues that medium term up trend from 0.8756 has completed with three waves up to 1.0063. Long term sideway pattern might have started another falling leg. Deeper decline would now be in favor as long as 0.9648 resistance holds, to 0.9149 structural support. Sustained break there could pave the way back to 0.8756.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9154; (P) 0.9192; (R1) 0.9215; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral as range trading continues. On the downside, break of 0.9116 support will affirm the case that rebound from 0.8925 has completed at 0.9273. Deeper fall would then be seen back to retest 0.8925 low. On the upside, however, break of 0.9273 and sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262 will target 0.9471 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high. But, rejection by 0.9471 again will revive bearishness for another fall through 0.8756 low.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9783; (P) 0.9813; (R1) 0.9831; More

Further decline is expected in USD/CHF with 0.9876 resistance intact, Current fall from 1.0023 should target test on 0.9659 low. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9876 will indicate short term bottoming. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9899) and above.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9903; (P) 0.9925; (R1) 0.9951; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the downside at this point. Correction from 1.0128 is possibly extending. But downside should be contained by 0.9848 support to bring near term reversal. On the upside, above 0.9989 will turn bias back to the upside. Break of 1.0008 will target a test on 1.0128 high.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the medium term rally from 0.9186 hasn’t completed yet. Break of 1.0128 will target 1.0342 key resistance next (2016 high). On the downside, break of 0.9848 support will dampen this bullish view and turn focus back to 0.9541 key support instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8884; (P) 0.8899; (R1) 0.8930; More….

Focus stays on 0.8919 resistance in USD/CHF. Decisive break there should confirm short term bottoming at 0.8756, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Considering bullish convergence condition in daily MACD too, USD/CHF could be corrective whole fall form 0.9901 in this case. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9193. Though, break of 0.8821 minor support will bring retest of 0.8756 low instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. Next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. In any case, break of 0.9294 resistance is needed to signal medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9701; (P) 0.9786; (R1) 0.9836; More….

USD/CHF rebounds strongly today and intraday bias is turned neutral first. With 0.9881 minor resistance intact, deeper fall cannot be ruled out. Break of 0.9734 will target 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9656. Nonetheless, as choppy fall from 1.0037 is seen as a correction, we’ll look for bottoming again below 0.9656 and above 0.9420. On the upside, break of 0.9881 resistance will now indicate completion of the decline. And intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.0037.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9055; (P) 0.9102; (R1) 0.9153; More

Further rise is expected in USD/CHF as long as 0.9013 minor support holds. Current rally is seen as correcting whole down trend from 1.0146. Further rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8818 at 0.9325. On the downside, below 0.9013 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9066; (P) 0.9082; (R1) 0.9102; More

USD/CHF recovers mildly today but stays in consolidation form 0.9030. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. In case of stronger recovery, upside should be limited below 0.9165 resistance. On the downside, break of 0.9030 will target 0.8998 low first. Firm break there will resume larger down trend to 61.8% projection of 0.9901 to 0.8998 from 0.9304 at 0.8746. However, break of 0.9165 will invalidate this bearish view and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9304 resistance.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9304 resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9951; (P) 0.9970; (R1) 0.9995; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for 1.0056. Firm break there will resume the rally from 0.9186 and target 61.8% projection of 0.9186 to 1.0056 from 0.9787 at 1.0325, which is close to 1.0342 key resistance. On the downside, though, below 0.9894 minor support will turn bias neutral and could extend the correction from 1.0056 for a while.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9764; (P) 0.9780; (R1) 0.9802; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral with focus on 0.9686 minor support. Break will suggest completion of rebound from 0.9502. Correction from 0.9901 should have then started the third leg. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 again. On the upside, above 0.9797 will target 0.9901 high instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Further rise could be seen to retest 1.0237 high. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some time.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9916; (P) 0.9969; (R1) 1.0021; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. While deeper retreat cannot be ruled out, break of 0.9779 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay cautiously bullish in case of retreat. On the upside, above 1.0019 will target 1.0063 high first. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.0063 will target 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9369 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8598; (P) 0.8648; (R1) 0.8744; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is back on the upside with break of 0.8699 resistance. Further rise would be seen towards 0.8818 support turned resistance. On the downside, firm break of 0.8551 will resume larger down trend from 1.0146, targeting 0.8317 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, the break of 0.8756 (2021 low) indicates break out from the long term range pattern. For now, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9146 resistance holds. Further fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317 next.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0000; (P) 1.0045; (R1) 1.0118; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for 1.0107 resistance. Current development revived the case that correction from 1.0342 is already completed at 0.9812. Break of 1.0107 will bring a retest on 1.0342 high. On the downside, below 1.0037 minor support will turn bias neutral and bring consolidation first before staging another rise.

In the bigger picture, we’re still maintaining that firm break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. However, the corrective nature of the fall from 1.0342 is starting to give the medium term outlook a bullish favor. Hence, in stead of looking for topping signal around 1.0342, we’d now pay closer attention to upside acceleration as USD/CHF approaches this level again.

USD/CHF Daily Chart

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8701; (P) 0.8736; (R1) 0.8787; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment, and some more consolidations could be seen above 0.8716. Risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.8886 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.8716 temporary low will resume the fall from 0.9243 to 161.8% projection of 0.9243 to 0.8886 from 0.9111 at 0.8533, which is close to 0.8551 low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as part of a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Deeper decline could be seen to 0.8551 low but strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.8886 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9095; (P) 0.9110; (R1) 0.9140; More….

While USD/CHF’s pull back from 0.9151 extended lower, down side is supported above 0.8996 support so far. Intraday bias remains neutral and further rally is expected. Break of 0.9151 will resume larger rally from 0.8332 to 0.9243 resistance. However, firm break of 0.8996 will confirm short term topping, and turn bias to the downside for 55 D EMA (now at 08932).

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom as tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rise would be seen as long as 0.8728 support holds. But upside should be limited by 0.9243 resistance, at least on first attempt. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish.
