USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9973; (P) 0.9988; (R1) 1.0002; More

At this point, intraday bias remains neutral in USD/CHF. On the upside, break of 1.0006 minor resistance will argue that the pull back from 1.0128 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.1028. However, on the downside, break of 38.2% retracement of 0.9541 to 1.0128 at 0.9904 will target 0.9848 key support level.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading. However, break of 0.9848 near term support will dampen this view and bring deeper decline back to 0.9541 support and possibly below.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9885; (P) 0.9911; (R1) 0.9926; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with today’s recovery. Focus is back on 0.9977 minor resistance. Break there will argue that corrective pull back from 1.0056 has completed already. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0056 high first. In case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from trend line (now at 0.9842) to contain downside and bring rebound. However, sustained break of the trend line will argue that it’s a larger scale correction and will target 0.9724 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9523; (P) 0.9578; (R1) 0.9634; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is neutral for the moment. Fall from 1.0048 is still seen as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.0063. Strong support should be seen around 0.9543 to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9731 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 resistance. However, sustained break of 0.9543 will bring deeper fall back to 0.9459 resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9458; (P) 0.9556; (R1) 0.9607; More

USD/CHF recovers mildly today but intraday bias stays on the downside first. Fall from 0.9901 would target 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456. Sustained break there will target a test on 0.9181/6 key support zone. Nevertheless, break of 0.9655 minor resistance will indicate completion of the pull back. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9901 next.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Further rise could be seen to retest 1.0237 high. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some time.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF breached 0.9151 resistance briefly but retreated back into established range. Initial bias remains neutral and more consolidations could be seen. On the upside, firm break of 0.9151 will resume the rally from 0.8332 and should target 0.9243 key resistance next. On the downside, break of 0.9085 will turn bias to the downside for deeper pullback.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom as tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rise would be seen as long as 0.8884 resistance turned support holds. But upside should be limited by 0.9243 resistance, at least on first attempt. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish.

In the long term picture, price action from 0.7065 (2011 high) are seen as a corrective pattern to the multi-decade down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high). Strong rebound from 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 to 1.0342 (2016 high) will start the third leg as a medium term rally. But there will be no sign of long term reversal until firm break of 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8594; (P) 0.8626; (R1) 0.8645; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment as range trading continues. On the downside, below 0.8605 will resume the pull back from 0.8727 to 0.8487 support. Break there will argue that rebound from 0.8332 has completed, and bring retest of this low. On the upside, firm break of 0.8727 will resume the rebound to 61.8% retracement of 0.9243 to 0.8332 at 0.8995 instead.

In the bigger picture, while rebound from 0.8332 could be strong, there is no clear sign of medium term bottoming yet. This rebound is tentatively seen as a corrective move for now. Also, outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9243 resistance holds. Larger down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high) should resume through 0.8332 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

USD/CHF rebounds further today but it’s staying below 0.9854 support turned resistance so far. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, firm break of 0.9854 will confirm short term bottoming. Stronger rebound should be seen back to 1.0014 resistance next. However, rejection by 0.9854 will retain near term bearishness. Break of 0.9738 will turn bias back to the downside to retest 0.9695 low.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) has completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9272; (P) 0.9292; (R1) 0.9328; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9367 is extending. On the upside, break of 0.9367 will resume the rise from 0.8925 to 0.9471 key resistance next. On the downside, however, break of 0.9214 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support again.

In the bigger picture, the strong rally above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9188) now tilts favor to the case of bullish trend reversal. That is, decline from 1.3042 (2016 high) is probably completed at 0.8756 already. Sustained break of 0.9471 resistance should confirm this case and pave the way to retest 1.0342 ahead. However, rejection by 0.9471 will mix up the outlook again and retain some medium term bearishness.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Consolidations from 0.9009 might extend. But outlook will remains bearish for further fall as long as 0.9197 resistance holds. Break of 0.9009 will resume larger down trend for 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9181 from 0.9901 at 0.8845. On the upside, though, break of 0.9197 resistance will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low), which is still extending. Sustained trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remain son the upside as rebound from 0.9186 is in progress. Further rise should be see to 0.9626 fibonacci level. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from 0.9626 to limit upside. Nonetheless, sustained break of 0.9626 will carry larger bullish implications. On the downside, break of 0.9423 will indicate completion of the rebound from 0.9186. And intraday bias would then be turned back to the downside for 0.9356 support and below.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Current development is raising the chance that it is completed. But there is no confirmation yet. Focus will now be back on 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 (2016 high) to 0.9186 (2018 low) at 0.9626. Sustained break there will add much credence to the case of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9900 and above. However, rejection from 0.9626 will maintain medium term bearishness for another low below 0.9186.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside. Current fall from 1.0067 should target 0.9523 fibonacci level next. On the upside, break of 0.9678 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again. But near term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9757 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9747; (P) 0.9778; (R1) 0.9814; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as it’s still bounded in range of 0.9704/9835. As noted before, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9704 will argue that rebound from 0.9420 has completed. This will also mixed up the near term outlook and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9587 support. On the upside, break of 0.9835 will extend the rebound to 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could develop into a medium term move and target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9587 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook as it’s staying in range of 0.9423/9568. Intraday bias remains neutral. As noted before, rebound from 0.9186 could still extend higher. But considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, upside should be limited by 0.9626 key fibonacci level, to complete the rebound from 0.9186. Break of 0.9432 support will indicate near term reversal and turn bias to the downside for retesting 0.9186 low. Nonetheless, sustained break of 0.9626 will carry larger bullish implications.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s rise from 0.8551 continued last week and hit as high as 0.8976. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 0.9146 cluster resistance. On the downside, however, break of 0.8893 support will argue that a short term top is possibly formed, and turn bias back to the downside for 55 D EMA (now at 0.8850).

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.8551 medium term bottom is currently seen as a correction to the downtrend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rally would be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160). Strong resistance could be seen there to limit upside, at least on first attempt.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign that down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high) has completed. With 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359 intact, outlook is neutral at best. Deeper fall would still be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as it’s bounded in range above 0.9900 temporary low. For now, with 0.9957 minor resistance intact, further decline is mildly in favor. Below 0.9900 will target 0.9856 support. Break there will pave the way to key support level at 0.9787. On the upside, above 0.9957 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0067.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9787 support holds, we’re still favoring the bullish case. That is, rise fro 0.9787 is resuming the whole up trend from 0.9186 and should target 1.0342 key resistance on resumption. However, break of 0.9787 will indicate medium term reversal and turn outlook bearish.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9239; (P) 0.9300; (R1) 0.9333; More

USD/CHF continues to trade sideway in established range and intraday bias remains neutral. Further decline is still in favor as long as 0.9407 resistance holds. Break of 0.9165 will resume whole fall from 1.0146. However, firm break of 0.9407 will turn bias back to the upside for strong rebound.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 should be a medium term down trend itself. Next target is a test on 0.8756 low. Strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. Still, further decline will now be expected as long as 0.9407 resistance holds, in any case.

In the bigger picture, corrective fall from 1.0237 should have completed at 0.9659 already, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still holding above medium term trend line. Rise from 0.9186 could still be in progress. Decisive break of 1.0128 will resume this medium term rally to 1.0342 resistance next. Meanwhile, sustained break of the trend line (now at 0.9884) will argue that whole rise from 0.9186 has completed. Further break of 0.9716 will confirm reversal and target next support level at 0.9541.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9299; (P) 0.9325; (R1) 0.9358; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral first, with focus on 0.9380 resistance. Firm break there will indicate that fall from 0.9459 has completed with three wave down to 0.9193. Such development will revive near term bullishness and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9459 and then 0.9471 resistance. On the downside, however, below 0.9236 will turn bias to the downside for 0.9149 structural support next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that whole down trend form 1.0342 (2016 high), has completed with waves down to 0.8756. A medium term up trend should be set up to target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Sustained break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.
