USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9899; (P) 0.9925; (R1) 0.9942; More

USD/CHF’s rebound and break of 0.9957 minor resistance suggests that pull back from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9900. More importantly, the actions from 0.9787 maintain a higher-low, higher-high pattern and near term bullishness is retained. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.0067 first. Break will resume whole rally from 0.9186.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9787 support holds, we’re still favoring the bullish case. That is, rise fro 0.9787 is resuming the whole up trend from 0.9186 and should target 1.0342 key resistance on resumption. However, break of 0.9787 will indicate medium term reversal and turn outlook bearish.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9115; (P) 0.9134; (R1) 0.9167; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral with current recovered, and near term is mixed. On the downside, below 0.9098 will target 0.9017 support first. Further break there will likely resume the decline from 0.9471 through 0.8925 low. On the upside, through, break of 0.9241 should resume the rise from 0.8925 through 0.9273 resistance.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9184) retains medium term bearish in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8855; (P) 0.8891; (R1) 0.8949; More….

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation above 0.8825 and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.8992 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.8825 will resume the fall from 0.9223. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 0.8332 to 0.9223 at 0.8672.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom are seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Rejection by 0.9243 resistance affirms this case, and maintains medium term bearishness. While more range trading could be seen between 0.8332/0.9243 first, downside break out is mildly in favor at a later stage.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0048; (P) 1.0134; (R1) 1.0182; More…..

USD/CHF is still staying in the consolidation pattern from 1.0342 and intraday bias remains neutral. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out. But we’d expect strong support from 1.0019 to contain downside and bring rally resumption. Firm break of 1.0342 will confirm up trend resumption. However, firm break of 1.0019 will indicate near term reversal and could bring deeper fall bring to 0.9443/9548 support zone.

In the bigger picture, the corrective fall from 1.0327 should have completed at 0.9443 already. Rise from 0.9443 could be resuming the long term rally from 2011 low at 0.7065. But decisive break of 1.0327 is needed to confirm. In that case, next medium term upside target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359. Rejection from 1.0327 will extend the sideway pattern with another fall back to 0.9443/9548 support zone.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9987; (P) 1.0022; (R1) 1.0060; More

Outlook in USD/CHF remains unchanged. With 0.9982 minor support intact, intraday bias stays on the upside for further rally. Sustained trading above 1.0037 will pave the way to 1.0342 key resistance next. On the downside, though, below 0.9982 minor support will indicate short term topping. And, in that case, deeper retreat could be seen to 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 0.9939) and below before staging another rise.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 0.9648 resistance turned support holds, even in case of pull back.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9083; (P) 0.9116; (R1) 0.9155; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is mildly on the upside for 0.91921 resistance. Decisive break there will be the first sign of bullish reversal and bring stronger rise to 0.9304 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, break of 0.9076 will target a test on 0.8982 low.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). There is no clear sign of completion yet. On resumption, next target will be 138.2% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.8639. Nevertheless, strong break of 0.9304 resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus back to 0.9901 key resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9551; (P) 0.9592; (R1) 0.9618; More….

At this point, USD/CHF is staying above 0.9535 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral. Outlook stays bearish as long as 0.9689 support turned resistance holds. Break of 0.9535 will resume the decline from 1.0037 and target a test on 0.9420 low. Nonetheless, firm break of 0.9698 will be the first sign of near term reversal. And, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9844 resistance for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, range trading continues between 0.9420/1.0342. At this point, 0.9420 appears to be a strong support level. Therefore, in case of decline attempt, we don’t expect a firm break of this level. Nonetheless, strong break of 1.0342 is also needed to confirm upside momentum. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9356; (P) 0.9392; (R1) 0.9434; More

USD/CHF’s rally resumed after brief consolidations. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474. Strong resistance could be seen there to complete the rebound from 0.9058. Break of 0.9340 minor support will now turn bias back to the downside. However, decisive break of 0.9474 will carry larger bullish implications and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9730.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0146 is seen as part of a long term sideway pattern. As long as 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 holds, another fall is in favor through 0.9058. However, sustained trading above 0.9474 will indicate that the medium term trend has reversed, and open up further rally to 61.8% retracement at 0.9730 and above.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9986; (P) 1.0017; (R1) 1.0067; More

USD/CHF rebounds further today but stays below 1.0094. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, a short term top is possibly in place at 1.0094. On the downside, below 0.9968 will extend the decline from 1.0094 into 0.9848/9954 support zone. On the upside, though, break of 1.0094 and sustained trading above 1.0067 will confirm resumption of larger rise from 0.9186 and should target 1.0342 key resistance next.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading. However, firm break of 0.9848 near term resistance will dampen this view and bring deeper decline back to 0.9541 support and possibly below.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9790; (P) 0.9849; (R1) 0.9883; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside as this point. Corrective recovery from 0.9695 should have completed with three waves up to 0.9975. Break of 0.9803 support confirms this case and next target if 0.9695. On the upside, above 0.9840 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. However, sustained break of 1.0014 will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.0237 high.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9132; (P) 0.9189; (R1) 0.9230; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays on the downside for retesting 0.9058 low first. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend from 1.1046. On the upside, above 0.9244 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again. Overall outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9474 fibonacci level holds.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) should still be in progress with 38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.9058 at 0.9474 intact. Prior rejection by 55 week EMA was a medium term bearish sign. Break of 0.9058 will resume such decline towards 0.8756 support (2021 low). But overall, such fall is still as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). So, downside should be contained by 0.8756 to bring reversal.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9252; (P) 0.9270; (R1) 0.9300; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as range trading continues below 0.9367. As long as 0.9214 support holds, further rally is in favor. On the upside, break of 0.9367 will resume the rise from 0.8925 to 0.9471 key resistance next. On the downside, however, break of 0.9214 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support again.

In the bigger picture, the strong rally above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9188) now tilts favor to the case of bullish trend reversal. That is, decline from 1.3042 (2016 high) is probably completed at 0.8756 already. Sustained break of 0.9471 resistance should confirm this case and pave the way to retest 1.0342 ahead. However, rejection by 0.9471 will mix up the outlook again and retain some medium term bearishness.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9914; (P) 0.9940; (R1) 0.9956; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the downside for the moment. Consolidation from 1.0027 is in progress with fall from 0.9978 as another leg. Deeper decline would be seen to 0.9851 support and possibly below. On the upside, break of 0.9978 will target 1.0027 first.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8846; (P) 0.8882; (R1) 0.8905; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral first with current retreat. Some consolidations would be seen, but further rally is expected as long as 0.8728 support holds. On the upside, above 0.8917 will target 61.8% projection of 0.8550 to 0.8884 from 0.8728 at 0.8934. Firm break there will target 100% projection at 0.9062 next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom as seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rise would be seen as long as 0.8555 support holds. But upside should be limited by 0.9243 resistance, at least on first attempt.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8932; (P) 0.8953; (R1) 0.8976; More….

With 0.9046 resistance intact, further decline is expected in USD/CHF. Current fall from 0.9471 should target a retest on 0.8756 low. However, on the upside, break of 0.9046 resistance will now indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. Medium term bearish is also affirmed as the pair is now far below falling 55 week EMA. Firm break of 0.8756 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.0237 to 0.8756 from 0.9471 at 0.8556 next.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9931; (P) 0.9954; (R1) 0.9979; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. With 0.9920 minor support intact, further rise is mildly in favor. Above 0.9984 will target a test on 1.0067 key resistance next. On the downside, break of 0.9920 minor support will turn bias to the downside, to bring another decline to extend the consolidation pattern from 1.0056.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 is extending with another leg. As long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds, we’d expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage to retest 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). However, sustained break of 0.9724 fibonacci level will bring deeper fall, as another declining leg in the long term range pattern.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9696; (P) 0.9721; (R1) 0.9743; More

USD/CHF dips mildly today but stays above 0.9665 minor support. Intraday bias stays neutral first. Outlook is unchanged as corrective pattern from 0.9901 might still extend further. Break of 0.9665 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.9588 support and possibly below. But overall, downside contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9802 will target a test on 0.9901 high.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound form 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9552; (P) 0.9643; (R1) 0.9693; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside for the moment. Current decline is part of the whole fall from 1.0342 and should target 0.9548 support and below. We’d start to look for bottoming signal again as it approaches 0.9443 key support level. On the upside, above 0.9646 minor resistance will turn bias neutral and bring recovery. But still, break of 0.9770 resistance is ended to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still bounded in medium term range of 0.9443/1.0342 for the moment. Consolidative trading would likely continue and medium term outlook remains neutral. Break of 1.0342 key resistance is needed to confirm underlying bullish momentum in the pair. Meanwhile, downside attempts should be contained by 0.9443 key support level. However, sustained break of 0.9443 will carry larger bearish implication and target 0.9 handle.

USD/CHF 4 Hours Chart

USD/CHF Daily Chart

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF surged to as high as 0.9328 last week but retreated since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week for some consolidations first. On the upside, above 0.9328 will resume the rally from 0.9084 for 0.9367 resistance. On the downside, below 0.9236 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for 0.9084 instead.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9535; (P) 0.9548; (R1) 0.9567; More

A temporary low is in place at 0.9523 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. Upside of recovery should be limited well below 0.9699 resistance and bring fall resumption. Break of 0.9523 will extend the decline from 1.0342 and target 0.9443 key support level next. At this point, we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound.
