GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2471; (P) 1.2499; (R1) 1.2552; More…

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point, as it recovered after dipping to 1.2445. Strong bounce from current level will retain near term bullishness. Further break of 1.2633 will resume the rebound from 1.2298 to 1.2708 resistance next. However, firm break of firm break of 1.2445 will indicate that this rebound has completed, and revive near term bearishness. Retest of 1.2298 should then be seen in this case.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern. Fall from 1.2892 is seen as the third leg which might have completed already. Break of 1.2892 resistance will argue that larger up trend from 1.0351(2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.3141. Meanwhile, break of 1.2298 support will extend the corrective pattern instead.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3033; (P) 1.3116; (R1) 1.3198; More

GBP/USD retreated after failing to break through 1.3209 resistance and intraday bias turns neutral first. Further rise is in favor as long as 1.2993 minor support holds. On the upside, decisive break of 1.3209 should confirm completion of correction from 1.3514 at 1.2725. Further rally should be seen to retest 1.3514 next. On the downside, however, break of 1.2993 will turn bias to the downside for 1.2725 low instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1958 is expected resume after correction from 1.3514 completes. Next target is 1.4376 key resistance. Reactions from there would decide whether it’s in consolidation from 1.1946 (2016 low). Or, firm break of 1.4376 will indicate long term bullish reversal. However, sustained break of 1.2582 resistance turned support will dampen these views and bring retest of 1.1958 low instead.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2964; (P) 1.3006; (R1) 1.3042; More

Outlook in GBP/USD remains unchanged as correction from 1.3514 is still in progress. With 1.3209 resistance intact, another fall is mildly in favor through 1.2872 at a later stage. Nevertheless, firm break of 1.3209 will turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.3514 instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1958 medium term bottom is not completed yet despite current pull back form 1.3514. Such rally is expected to resume later to 1.4376 key resistance. Reactions from there would decide whether it’s in consolidation from 1.1946 (2016 low). Or, firm break of 1.4376 will indicate long term bullish reversal. In any case, for now, outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.2582 resistance turned support holds.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3075; (P) 1.3152; (R1) 1.3196; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point and another remains in favor. Another rise remains in favor. On the upside, break of 1.3313 will extend the rebound from 1.2675 to retest 1.3482 high. However, on the downside, firm break of 1.3118 minor support support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.2853 support instead.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.3514 key resistance. Decisive break there should also come with sustained trading above 55 month EMA (now at 1.3307). That should confirm medium term bottoming at 1.1409. Outlook will be turned bullish for 1.4376 resistance and above. Nevertheless, rejection by 1.3514 will maintain medium term bearishness for another lower below 1.1409 at a later stage.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2438; (P) 1.2489; (R1) 1.2577; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays mildly on the upside at this point. Rebound from 1.2306 is in progress for retesting 1.2678 high. Decisive break there would resume larger up trend from 1.0351 to 1.2759 fibonacci level. Meanwhile, below 1.2445 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. Further break of 1.2306 will resume the correction towards 1.1801 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.2678 at 1.1789)

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1801 support holds, rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom (2022 low) is expected to extend further. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 (2021 high) to 1.0351 at 1.2759 will add to the case of long term bullish trend reversal. However, firm break of 1.1801 will indicate rejection by 1.2759, and bring deeper decline, even as a correction.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays on the downside as correction from 1.4240 is in progress. We’d expect strong support from 38.2% retracement of 1.2675 to 1.4240 at 1.3642 to bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.3800 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. Further break of 1.4000 resistance will bring retest of 1.4240 high. However, sustained break of 1.3564 will bring deeper fall to 1.3482 key resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1409 medium term bottom is in progress. Further rally would be seen to 1.4376 resistance and above. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implications and target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) at 1.5134. On the downside, break of 1.3482 resistance turned support is needed to be first indication of completion of the rise. Otherwise, outlook will stay cautiously bullish even in case of deep pullback.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3484; (P) 1.3549; (R1) 1.3594; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point. On the upside, break of 1.3627 will resume the rebound to 1.3748 resistance. Firm break there will revive the bullish case that correction from 1.4248 has completed with three waves down to 1.3158. Further rally should then be seen to retest 1.4248 high. On the downside, however, break of 1.3356 will bring retest of 1.3158 low.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 holds, up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Nevertheless sustained break of 1.3164 will argue that whole rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2250; (P) 1.2277; (R1) 1.2313; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neutral at this point. Strong rebound from 55 4H EMA (now at 1.2248) will maintain near term bullishness for another rise to 38.2% retracement of 1.3141 to 1.2036 at 1.2458. However, sustained break of 4H 55 EMA will revive near term bearishness and bring retest of 1.2036 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the strong rebound from 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075 argues that price action from 1.3141 are merely a correction to rise from 1.0351 (2022 low). Current rally from 1.2036 is tentatively seen as the second leg of the pattern. Hence, while further rally is in favor, upside should be limited by 1.3141 to start the third leg.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2543; (P) 1.2597; (R1) 1.2642; More….

GBP/USD retreats mildly after failing break through 1.2669 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.2669 will resume the rebound from 1.2251 to 1.2813 high next. On the downside, though, break of 1.2480 minor support will turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.2251 support.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 is strong, there is not enough evidence for trend reversal yet. Down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) should still resume sooner or later. However, decisive break of 1.3514 should at least confirm medium term bottoming and turn outlook bullish for 1.4376 resistance first.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2774; (P) 1.2847; (R1) 1.2915; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral for brief consolidations. Further decline remains in favor with 1.3035 minor resistance intact. Decisive break of 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.3482 at 1.2690 will argue that the rise from 1.1409 might be completed, and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2201. Though, break of 1.3035 will suggest that decline from 1.3482 is merely a corrective move, and turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.3482.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 was strong, it’s limited by both 1.3514 resistance, as well as 55 week EMA (now at 1.3317). The development keeps outlook bearish. Sustained break of 55 week EMA (now at 1.2743) will add to medium term bearishness for a new low below 1.1409 at a later stage, resuming the down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high).

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3467; (P) 1.3592; (R1) 1.3664; More

GBP/USD drops to as low as 1.3454 so far and intraday bias remains on the downside. Sustained trading below 1.3482 resistance turned support will pave the way to 1.3163 medium term fibonacci level next. On the upside, above 1.3554 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first and bring consolidation first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 is at least a correction to the up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low). Such correction could extend to 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 before completion. However, considering the rejection by 1.4376 key resistance (2018 high), sustained trading below 1.3164 will argue that it’s indeed a bearish trend reversal and would target 61.8% retracement at 1.2493. Nevertheless, break of 1.3912 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and target 1.4248/4376 resistance zone again.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside at this point. Sustained break of 1.4000 resistance should confirm that correction from 1.4240 has completed at 1.3668 already. Further rise should be seen to retest 1.4240 high next. On the downside, below 1.3917 minor support will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3482 resistance turned support holds, up trend from 1.1409 should still continue. Decisive break of 1.4376 resistance will carry larger bullish implications and target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) at 1.5134. However, firm break of 1.3482 support will argue that the rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 1.2675 support and below.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains mildly on the downside at this point. Corrective rebound from 1.2036 should have completed with three waves up to 1.2426. Deeper fall should be seen to retest 1.2036/68 support zone next. Firm break there will resume larger down trend from 1.3141. On the upside, above 1.2307 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.3141 to 1.2036 at 1.2458, suggests fall from 1.3141 is still in progress. Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 will bring deeper decline to 61.8% retracement at 1.1417, even just as a corrective move.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

GBP/USD’s rebound from 1.1145 extends higher today but stays well below 1.1644 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.1644 will resume the whole rise from 1.0351 and target 1.1759/2292 resistance zone. On the downside, break of 1.1145 will reaffirm the case that corrective rise from 1.0351 has completed at 1.1644. Deeper fall would then be seen back to 1.0922 support and below.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) is part of the long term down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high). Outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.1759 support turned resistance holds. Parity would be the next target on resumption. Nevertheless, firm break of 1.1759 will confirm medium term bottoming, and open up stronger rise back to 55 week EMA (now at 1.2357).

GBP/USD’s fall resumes by breaking 1.3435 and intraday bias is back on the downside. As noted before, rebound from 1.3158 could have completed at 1.3748 already. More importantly, larger fall from 1.4282 is probably not over yet. Intraday bias is back on the downside for retesting 1.3158 first. On the upside, though, above 1.3523 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.3748.

In the bigger picture, strong support was seen from 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164. The development suggests that up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 1.1494 will resume the rise from 1.0351 to 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.1494 from 1.0922 at 1.1628. On the downside, below 1.0922 will turn bias back to the downside for 1.0351 low instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) is resuming long term down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high). Next target is 100% projection of 2.1161 to 1.3503 from 1.7190 at 0.9532. There is no scope of a medium term rebound as long as 1.1759 support turned resistance holds.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2551; (P) 1.2619; (R1) 1.2660; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the downside for 1.2559 support. Break there should confirm resumption of whole fall from 1.3381 and target 1.2391 low next. On the upside, above 1.2653 minor resistance will delay the bearish case and bring more consolidations first. But in case of another recovery, upside should be limited by by 1.2865 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.4376 (2018 high) is possibly ready to resume. Decisive break of 1.2391 would target a test on 1.1946 long term bottom (2016 low). For now, we don’t expect a firm break there yet. Hence, focus will be on bottoming signal as it approaches 1.1946. In any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.3381 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2422; (P) 1.2470; (R1) 1.2503; More….

GBP/USD is staying in range of 1.2381/2579 and intraday bias remains neutral first. With 1.2579 resistance intact, further decline is in favor. On the downside, sustained break of 1.2391 key support will resume larger down trend for 61.8% projection of 1.4376 to 1.2391 from 1.3381 at 1.2154 next. Though, break of 1.2579 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound back to 1.2783 resistance. In this case, consolidation from 1.2391 would extend with another rise, towards 1.3381 resistance, before completion.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.4376 (2018 high) is still in progress. Break of 1.2391 would target a test on 1.1946 long term bottom (2016 low). For now, we don’t expect a firm break there yet. Hence, focus will be on bottoming signal as it approaches 1.1946. In any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.3381 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

GBP/USD recovers just ahead of 1.3050 support but stays well below 1.3514 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. We’d still expect 1.3050 support to hold to bring rise resumption. On the upside, above 1.3514 will extend the rally from 1.1958 to 100% projection of 1.2195 to 1.3012 from 1.2827 at 1.3644 first. Break will target 161.8% projection at 1.4149 next. However, firm break of 1.3050 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper fall to 1.2827 support, and possibly below.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1958 medium term bottom is on track to retest 1.4376 key resistance. Reactions from there would decide whether it’s in consolidation from 1.1946 (2016 low). Or, firm break of 1.4376 will indicate long term bullish reversal. In any case, for now, outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.2827 support holds.
