GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2375; (P) 1.2459; (R1) 1.2504; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. As long as 1.2587 resistance holds, further decline remains mildly in favor. Below 1.2334 temporary will target 1.2065 support first. Firm break there will confirm completion of rebound from 1.1409 at 1.2813. However, break of 1.2587 will dampen this bearish view and bring retest of 1.2813 high instead.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 is strong, there is not enough evidence for trend reversal yet. Down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) should still resume sooner or later. However, decisive break of 1.3514 should at least confirm medium term bottoming and turn outlook bullish for 1.4376 resistance first.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2324; (P) 1.2359; (R1) 1.2423; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays on the upside at this point. Decisive break of 1.2445/6 resistance zone will resume larger rally from 1.0351, and target 1.2759 fibonacci level. On the upside, below 1.2292 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But further rally will remain in favor as long as 1.2203 resistance turned support holds.

In the bigger picture, the rise from 1.0351 medium term term bottom (2022 low) is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 (2021 high) to 1.0351 at 1.2759. Sustained break there will add to the case of long term bullish trend reversal. Further break of 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.2445 from 1.1801 at 1.3095 could prompt upside acceleration to 100% projection at 1.3895. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 1.1801 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3013; (P) 1.3047; (R1) 1.3077; More

GBP/USD’s rebound from 1.2773 is still in progress and intraday bias remains on the upside for 1.3267 resistance. Break will target 1.3444 key resistance level next. Price actions from 1.1946 are still seen as a corrective pattern. Hence, we’d expect strong resistance from 1.3444 to limit upside to bring larger down trend reversal eventually. On the downside, below 1.2908 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.2773.

In the bigger picture, overall, price actions from 1.1946 medium term low are seen as a corrective pattern. While further rise cannot be ruled out, larger outlook remains bearish as long as 1.3444 key resistance holds. Down trend from 1.7190 (2014 high) is expected to resume later after the correction completes. And break of 1.2588 will indicate that such down trend is resuming.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3239; (P) 1.3276; (R1) 1.3307; More

GBP?USD is still bounded in consolidation from 1.3313 and intraday bias remains neutral. With 1.3106 support intact, further rise is still in favor. On the upside, break of 1.3313 will resume the rise from 1.2675 and bring retest of 1.3482 high. However, sustained break of 1.3106 will argue that the rebound from 1.2675 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.2853 support.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.3514 key resistance. Decisive break there should also come with sustained trading above 55 month EMA (now at 1.3304). That should confirm medium term bottoming at 1.1409. Outlook will be turned bullish for 1.4376 resistance and above. Nevertheless, rejection by 1.3514 will maintain medium term bearishness for another lower below 1.1409 at a later stage.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3796; (P) 1.3835; (R1) 1.3876; More…..

With 1.4066 minor resistance intact, deeper fall is expected in GBP/USD for 1.3651 resistance turned support. It’s still unsure whether decline from 1.4345 is correcting rise from 1.3038, or that from 1.1946, or it’s reversing the trend. Break of 1.3651 will turn focus to key fibonacci level at 1.3429. On the upside, break of 1.4066 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.4345 instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3038 support holds, medium term outlook in GBP/USD will remains bullish. Rise from 1.1946 is at least correcting the long term down from 2007 high at 2.1161. Further rally would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1946 (2016 low) at 1.5466. However, GBP/USD fails to sustain above 55 month EMA (now at 1.4279 so far. Break of 1.3038 support, will suggests that rise from 1.1946 has completed and will turn outlook bearish for retesting this low.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2756; (P) 1.2817; (R1) 1.2885; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. Price actions from 1.2661 are viewed as a consolidation pattern. Break of 1.2692 will bring retest of 1.2661 first. Firm break there will resume the larger down trend from 1.4376. On the upside, sustained break of 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.2917) could extend the consolidation with another rise. But even in case of strong rally, upside should be limited by 1.3316 fibonacci level to bring down trend resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA. The structure and momentum of the fall from 1.4376 argues that it’s resuming long term down trend. And this will be the preferred case as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2661 at 1.3316 holds. However, firm break of 1.3316 would bring stronger rebound to 61.8% retracement at 1.3721. And, the eventual depth of the fall from 1.4376, and the chance of hitting 1.1946 low, will depend on the strength of the interim corrective rebound from 1.2661.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2888; (P) 1.2913; (R1) 1.2963; More

GBP/USD continues to engage in consolidative trading below 1.2965 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. With 1.2755 support intact, further rise is expected. Break of 1.2965 will target 161.8% projection of 1.2108 to 1.2614 from 1.2365 at 1.3184. At this point, price actions from 1.1946 are still interpreted as a correction pattern. Therefore, we’d expect strong resistance below 1.3444 to bring larger down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.2755 minor support will turn bias to the downside. Further break of 1.2614 resistance turned support will now indicate near term reversal.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7190 is seen as part of the down trend from 2.1161. There is no sign of medium term reversal yet. Sustained trading below 61.8% projection of 2.1161 to 1.3503 from 1.7190 at 1.2457 will target 100% projection at 0.9532. Overall, break of 1.3444 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1469; (P) 1.1495; (R1) 1.1547; More

GBP/USD is staying in consolidation above 1.1442 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral. Upside of recovery should be limited by 1.1899 resistance to bring another decline. On the downside, break of 1.1442 will resume larger down trend for 1.1409 long term support. Firm break there will pave the way to 61.8% projection of 1.3748 to 1.1759 from 1.2292 at 1.1063 next.

In the bigger picture, based on current momentum, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) is probably resuming long term down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high). Sustained break of 1.1409 will target 61.8% projection of 1.7190 (2014 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) from 1.4248 (2021 high) at 1.0675. This will remain the favored case for now as long as 1.2292 resistance holds.

GBP/USD Weekly Outlook

GBP/USD dipped to 1.4082 last week but drew support from 1.4090 and recovered. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Further rise is still expected as long as 1.4090 holds. On the upside, sustained break of 1.4240 will resume larger up trend from 1.1409, for 1.4376 key resistance next. On the downside, however, firm break of 1.4082 will extend the consolidation from 1.4240 with another falling leg. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.4008 resistance turned support first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3482 resistance turned support holds, up trend from 1.1409 should still continue. Decisive break of 1.4376 resistance will carry larger bullish implications and target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) at 1.5134. However, firm break of 1.3482 support will argue that the rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 1.2675 support and below.

In the longer term picture, a long term bottom should be in place at 1.1409, on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. Rise from there would target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Reaction from there would reveal whether rise from 1.1409 is just a correction, or developing into a long term up trend.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3131; (P) 1.3174; (R1) 1.3211; More

GBP/USD weakens mildly today but stays well above 1.3042 resistance turned support. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. But outlook is unchanged that corrective rise from 1.2661 could have completed at 1.3297, ahead of 1.3316 key fibonacci level. Hence, risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.3297 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.3042 resistance turned support will bring deeper fall to 1.2784. Break there will argue that larger down trend from 1.4376 is resuming for a new low below 1.2661.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4062).

GBP/USD is staying in range of 1.2329/2637 and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.2637 will confirm short term bottoming at 1.2154. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.2775). On the downside, below 1.2329 minor support will retain near term bearishness and bring retest of 1.2154 first. Break there will resume larger down trend from 1.4248.

In the bigger picture, based on current momentum, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) at least at the same degree as the rise from 1.1409 (2020 low). That is, fall from 1.4248 could be a leg inside the pattern from 1.1409, or resuming the longer term down trend. In either case, deeper decline is expected as long as 1.2999 support turned resistance holds. Next target is 1.1409 low.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3146; (P) 1.3182; (R1) 1.3248; More….

GBP/USD’s break of 1.3267 resistance suggests resumption of recent rise from 1.1409. Intraday bias is back on the upside with focus on 100% projection of 1.1409 to 1.2647 from 1.2065 at 1.3303. Sustained break there will pave the way to 1.3514 structural resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.3053 support will now indicate short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.2864).

GBP/USD Daily Outlook.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3398; (P) 1.3445; (R1) 1.3478; More

GBP/USD’s fall resumed after brief consolidation and reaches as low as 1.3374 so far. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 50% retracement of 1.1946 to 1.4376 at 1.3161. On the upside, above 1.3490 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidation first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that whole medium term rebound from 1.1936 (2016 low) has completed at 1.4376 already, with trend line broken, on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4249). 38.2% retracement of 1.1936 (2016 low) to 1.4376 at 1.3448 should now be firmly taken out. Next target will be 61.8% retracement at 1.2874 and below. Outlook will stay bearish as long as 55 day EMA (now at 1.3761) holds, even in case of strong rebound.

On the upside, decisive break of 1.2445 will confirm resumption of whole rise from 1.0351. Next target will be 1.2759 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.4248 (2021 high). Further rise is expected as long as 1.1644 resistance turned support holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 to 1.0351 at 1.2759. Sustained break there will pave the way back to 1.4248.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2122; (P) 1.2162; (R1) 1.2221; More

GBP/USD’s rise from 1.1801 resumed today and intraday bias is back on the upside. Further rally should be seen to retest 1.2445/6 resistance zone. As noted before, corrective pattern from 1.2445 could have completed with three waves to 1.1801 already. Firm break of 1.2445/6 will resume larger rise from 1.0351, and target 1.2759 fibonacci level. For now, outlook will stay cautiously bullish as long as 1.2009 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, price action from 1.2445 are seen as a corrective pattern to rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom (2022 low). Resumption is expected as a later stage and firm break of 1.2446 will target 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 (2021 high) to 1.0351 at 1.2759. This will remain the favored case as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.2445 at 1.1645 holds.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3870; (P) 1.3900; (R1) 1.3934; More

Outlook in GBP/USD remains unchanged and intraday bias stays neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.4008 should reaffirm the bullish case that correction from 1.4240 has completed. Further rise should be seen back to retest 1.4240 high. However, break of 1.3668 will extend the correction from 1.4240 with another falling leg.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3016; (P) 1.3094; (R1) 1.3227; More….

The strong rebound and break of 1.3097 minor resistance suggests that pull back from 1.3350 has completed at 1.2960. More importantly, with near term trend line defended, outlook stays bullish for further rally. Intraday bias is turned back to the upside for 1.3350 first. Break will resume the rebound from 1.2391 low to 61.8% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2391 at 1.3618 next. On the downside, again, sustained break of trend line support will argue that rebound from 1.2391 has completed earlier than expected at 1.3350. Deeper fall would then be seen to 1.2773 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.4376 (2018 high) should have completed at 1.2391. Rise from 1.2391 is now seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.1946 (2016 low). Further rise could be seen through 1.4376 in medium term. On the downside, though, break of 1.2773 support will dampen this view. Focus will be turned back to 1.2391 low and break will resume the fall from 1.4376 to 1.1946.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2449; (P) 1.2484; (R1) 1.2513; More….

GBP/USD is still staying in range of 1.2382/2579 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further decline remains in favor too as long as 1.2579 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.2391 key support will resume larger down trend for 61.8% projection of 1.4376 to 1.2391 from 1.3381 at 1.2154 next. Though, break of 1.2579 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound back to 1.2783 resistance. In this case, consolidation from 1.2391 would extend with another rise, towards 1.3381 resistance, before completion.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.4376 (2018 high) is still in progress. Break of 1.2391 would target a test on 1.1946 long term bottom (2016 low). For now, we don’t expect a firm break there yet. Hence, focus will be on bottoming signal as it approaches 1.1946. In any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.3381 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2782; (P) 1.2833; (R1) 1.2866; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral first. On the upside, above 1.2927 will turn bias to the upside for 1.3071 resistance first. On the downside, break of 1.2764 will extend the fall from 1.3174 to 1.2661 key support level. Overall, price actions from 1.2661 are viewed as a consolidation pattern. Even in case of strong rebound, upside should be limited by 1.3316 fibonacci level to bring down trend resumption eventually.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3239; (P) 1.3298; (R1) 1.3410; More….

GBP/USD’s rally is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the upside. Current rise from 1.1409 should target 161.8% projection of 1.2065 to 1.2813 from 1.2251 at 1.3461. On the downside, break of 1.3053 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, immediate focus is now on 1.3514 resistance. Decisive break there should at least confirm medium term bottoming at 1.1409. Further rise should be seen to 1.4376 resistance first. Though, rejection by 1.3514 will retain bearishness for resuming the down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) at a later stage.
