GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3298; (P) 1.3346; (R1) 1.3401; More

GBP/USD is staying in range below 1.3539 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Outlook is unchanged that a short term top was formed at 1.3539, and deeper fall is in favor. Break of 1.3223 will target 55 day EMA (now at 1.3170) first. Sustained break there will confirm another rejection by 1.3514 key resistance. Deeper fall should be seen back to 1.2675 support next. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.3539 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.3514 key resistance. Decisive break there should also come with sustained trading above 55 month EMA (now at 1.3308). That should confirm medium term bottoming at 1.1409. Outlook will be turned bullish for 1.4376 resistance and above. Nevertheless, rejection by 1.3514 will maintain medium term bearishness for another lower below 1.1409 at a later stage.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4067; (P) 1.4164; (R1) 1.4333; More…..

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside. Current rally is targeting 100% projection of 1.2108 to 1.3651 from 1.3038 at 1.4581 next. On the downside, below 1.4116 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But retreat should be contained well above 1.3612 resistance turned support to bring another rise.

In the bigger picture, sustained break of 1.3835 key resistance level indicates that rebound from 1.1946 is at least correcting the long term down from from 2007 high at 2.1161. Further rise should now be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1946 (2016 low) at 1.5466. Medium term outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.3038 support holds, in case of pull back.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3118; (P) 1.3158; (R1) 1.3218; More….

Focus stays on 1.3109 support in GBP/USD. Firm break will be an early sign of near term reversal and bring deeper fall to trend line support (now at 1.2944). Break will target 1.2774 support to confirm completion of rebound from 1.2391. Nevertheless, rebound from current level, followed by break of 1.3350, will resume rise from 1.2391 to 61.8% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2391 at 1.3618 next.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.4376 (2018 high) should have completed at 1.2391. Rise from 1.2391 is now seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.1946 (2016 low). Further rise could be seen through 1.4376 in medium term. On the downside, though, break of 1.2773 support will turn focus back to 1.2391 low and then 1.1946.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3247; (P) 1.3399; (R1) 1.3524; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD is turned neutral for consolidation above 1.3272 temporary low. But further fall is still expected with 1.3485 support turned resistance intact. Current development suggest larger decline from 1.4240 is still in progress. Firm break of 1.3158 will target 61.8% projection of 1.4248 to 1.3158 from 1.3748 at 1.3074 next. However, firm break of 1.3485 will dampen this bearish view and turn bias back to the upside for 1.3641 resistance.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 holds, up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Nevertheless sustained break of 1.3164 will argue that whole rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3026; (P) 1.3064; (R1) 1.3110; More….

Range trading continues in GBP/USD and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise could still be seen as long as 1.2982 support holds. Break of 1.3815 will target 100% projection of 1.1409 to 1.2647 from 1.2065 at 1.3303. However, break of 1.2982 support should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.2813 resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 is strong, there is not enough evidence for trend reversal yet. Down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) should still resume sooner or later. However, decisive break of 1.3514 should at least confirm medium term bottoming and turn outlook bullish for 1.4376 resistance first.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3729; (P) 1.3788; (R1) 1.3821; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point. We’re still slightly favoring the case that corrective pull back from 1.4240 has completed with three waves down to 1.3669, ahead of 38.2% retracement of 1.2675 to 1.4240 at 1.3642. On the upside, break of 1.3846 will extend the rebound to 1.4000 resistance and then 1.4240 high.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1409 medium term bottom is in progress. Further rally would be seen to 1.4376 resistance and above. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implications and target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) at 1.5134. On the downside, break of 1.3482 resistance turned support is needed to be first indication of completion of the rise. Otherwise, outlook will stay cautiously bullish even in case of deep pullback.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2592; (P) 1.2636; (R1) 1.2669; More

GBP/USD is staying in consolidation below 1.2678 and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Further rally is expected as long as 1.2434 support holds. Break of 1.2678 will resume larger up trend to 1.2759 fibonacci level first. Firm break there will target 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.2445 from 1.1801 at 1.3095. However, decisive break of 1.2434 will confirm short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper fall.

In the bigger picture, the rise from 1.0351 medium term term bottom (2022 low) is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 (2021 high) to 1.0351 at 1.2759. Sustained break there will add to the case of long term bullish trend reversal. Further break of 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.2445 from 1.1801 at 1.3095 could prompt upside acceleration to 100% projection at 1.3895. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 1.1801 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2690; (P) 1.2729; (R1) 1.2770; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral for sideway trading. On the downside, firm break of 1.2618, and sustained trading below 1.2678 resistance turned support will argue that it’s already in a larger correction. Deeper decline would then be seen to 1.2306 support next. Nevertheless, break of 1.2817 minor resistance will indicate that the pull back has completed, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be in place at 1.3141 already, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.2723) should confirm this case, and bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075, as a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). For now, rise will stay mildly on the downside as long as 1.3141 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2574; (P) 1.2673; (R1) 1.2732; More…

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point and outlook is unchanged. Price action from 1.2826 are seen as a consolidation pattern. In case of another fall, downside should be contained above 1.2499 support to bring rebound. On the upside, firm break of 1.2774 resistance will suggest that consolidation pattern has completed. Further rise should be seen through 1.2826 to resume the rally from 1.2036. Next target will be 1.3141 high.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Rise from 1.2036 is seen as the second leg that’s still in progress. Upside should be limited by 1.3141 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, break of 1.2499 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1703; (P) 1.1779; (R1) 1.1911; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays on the upside at this point. Firm break of 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.1494 from 1.1145 at 1.1851 will pave the way to 100% projection at 1.2288. On the downside, below 1.1646 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidation first.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 1.0351 is a medium term bottom. Rise from there is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.4248 (2021 high). Further rise is expected as long as 1.1145 support holds. Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.4248 to 1.0351 at 1.1840 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.2759 and possibly above.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2280; (P) 1.2349; (R1) 1.2432; More….

No change in GBP/USD’s outlook as range trading continues. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise remains in favor as long as 1.2247 support holds. Break of 1.2647 will resume the rise from 1.1409 to 1.3200 resistance. On the downside, break of 1.2247 support will indicate completion of rebound from 1.1409. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1409 low.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 is strong, there is no indication of trend reversal yet. Down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) should still resume sooner or later. Next medium term target will be 61.8% projection of 1.7190 to 1.1946 from 1.3514 at 1.0273. In any case, outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.3514 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3330; (P) 1.3361; (R1) 1.3418; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside for retesting 1.3482 high. Decisive break there will resume whole rise from 1.1409. Further rally should then be seen to 61.8% projection of 1.1409 to 1.3482 from 1.2675 at 1.3956 next. On the downside, break of 1.3195 support will turn bias back to the downside, to extend the consolidation from 1.3482 with another falling leg.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2552; (P) 1.2565; (R1) 1.2592; More…

Intraday bias in GBP/USD is turned neutral with current recovery and some consolidations could be seen first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.2667 resistance holds, in case of recovery. Below 1.2538 will target 1.2517 structural support. Decisive break there will suggest that rise from 1.2036 has completed at 1.2892 already, and turn near term outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Rise from 1.2036 is seen as the second leg, which might still be in progress. But upside should be limited by 1.3141 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, break of 1.2517 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2970; (P) 1.3025; (R1) 1.3064; More

Focus in GBP/USD remains on 1.2987 minor support. Decisive break there will confirm that rebound from 1.2865 has completed at 1.3176 already. More importantly, this will revive that bearish case that rebound from 1.2391 has completed at 1.3381. And intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.2865 support for confirming bearishness. Nevertheless, on upside, above 1.3176 will target a retest on 1.3381 high next.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.4376 (2018 high) halted and made a medium term bottom after hitting 1.2391. Rebound from 1.2391 is seen as a corrective move for now. In case of another rise, strong resistance could be seen around 61.8% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2391 at 1.3618 to limit upside. On the downside, break of 1.2773 support will suggests that such corrective rise is completed and bring retest of 1.2391 low first.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3066; (P) 1.3158; (R1) 1.3208; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the downside Current decline from 1.3651 would be targeting 1.2773 key support next. We’ll start to look for bottoming around there. On the upside, above 1.3221 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. Another decline is mildly in favor after the consolidation completes.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that the long term trend in GBP/USD has reversed. That is, a key bottom was formed back in 1.1946 on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. Current rise from 1.1946 will target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1946 (2016 low) at 1.5466 next. In any case, medium term outlook will now stay bullish as long as 1.2773 support holds.

GBP/USD’s fall from 1.3212 is still in progress and intraday bias remains on the downside for 1.2956 low. Decisive break there will resume larger decline from 1.4376 for 1.2874 fibonacci level next. On the upside, above 1.3064 minor resistance will possibly extend the correction from 1.2956 with another rebound through 1.3212. But even in that case, upside should be limited by 1.3362 resistance to bring larger decline resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4179). Fall from 1.4376 should extend to 61.8% retracement of 1.1946 (2016 low) to 1.4376 at 1.2874 next. Decisive break of 1.2874 will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption through 1.1946 low. On the upside, break of 1.3362 resistance is needed to be the first indication of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3425; (P) 1.3510; (R1) 1.3572; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral for the moment as consolidation from 1.3651 continues. In case of deeper fall, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 1.2773 to 1.3651 at 1.3316 and bring rise resumption. Above 1.3651 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.3835 support turned resistance next. Break there will target 55 month EMA (now at 1.4405).

In the bigger picture, current development argues that the long term trend in GBP/USD has reversed. That is, a key bottom was formed back in 1.1946 on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. GBP/USD Daily Chart

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3583; (P) 1.3620; (R1) 1.3657; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside with 1.3542 minor support intact. Sustained trading above 55 day EMA (now at 1.3725) will target 1.3912 key near term resistance. On the downside, below 1.3542 minor support will retain near term bearishness, and turn bias back to the downside for 1.3410 low.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 is at least a correction to the up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low). Such correction could extend to 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 before completion. However, considering the rejection by 1.4376 key resistance (2018 high), sustained trading below 1.3164 will argue that it’s indeed a bearish trend reversal and would target 61.8% retracement at 1.2493. Nevertheless, break of 1.3912 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and target 1.4248/4376 resistance zone again.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4261; (P) 1.4302; (R1) 1.4379; More

GBP/USD retreats after hitting 1.4376. But with 1.4236 minor support intact, intraday bias remains on the upside. Prior break of 1.4345 indicates resumption of medium term up trend. Further rise should be seen to 61.8% projection of 1.3038 to 1.4345 from 1.3711 at 1.4519 next. On the downside, below 1.4236 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral again. But retreat should be contained well above 1.3964 support to bring another rally.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1946 (2016 low) is in progress and resuming. It is at least correcting the long term down trend from 2007 high at 2.1161. Further rally would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1946 (2016 low) at 1.5466. We’d continue to favor this medium term bullish view as long as 1.3711 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3826; (P) 1.3861; (R1) 1.3880; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.3982 is extending. Outlook is unchanged that corrective pattern from 1.4240 could have completed with three waves down to 1.3570. On the upside, break of 1.3982 will resume the rise from 1.3570 to retest 1.4248 high. However, break of 1.3766 support will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 1.3570.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3482 resistance turned support holds, up trend from 1.1409 should still continue. Decisive break of 1.4376 resistance will carry larger bullish implications. However, firm break of 1.3482 support will argue that the rise from 1.1409 has completed. GBP/USD would then be seen in another leg of long term range pattern between 1.1409 and 1.4376. Deeper fall could then be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.2493, and even below.
