GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2793; (P) 1.2852; (R1) 1.2884; More

GBP/USD’s decline extends to as low as 1.2773 so far. 100% projection of 1.3362 to 1.2956 from 1.3212 at 1.2806 is already met. Intraday bias stays on the downside for 161.8% projection at 1.2555 next. On the upside, above 1.2854 minor resistance will turn bias neutral and bring consolidations. But upside should be limited by 1.2956 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4141). Fall from 1.4376 has met 61.8% retracement of 1.1946 (2016 low) to 1.4376 at 1.2874 already. Decisive break of 1.2874 will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption through 1.1946 low. On the upside, break of 1.3212 resistance is needed to be the first indication of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2461; (P) 1.2516; (R1) 1.2551; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD is turned neutral with current retreat and some consolidations would be seen below 1.2582 first. Outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.2352 support holds. On the upside, above 1.2582 will target 1.2759 fibonacci level first. Firm break there will target 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.2445 from 1.1801 at 1.3095.

In the bigger picture, the rise from 1.0351 medium term term bottom (2022 low) is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 (2021 high) to 1.0351 at 1.2759. Sustained break there will add to the case of long term bullish trend reversal. Further break of 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.2445 from 1.1801 at 1.3095 could prompt upside acceleration to 100% projection at 1.3895. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 1.1801 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD is turned neutral with a temporary low formed at 1.2501. But further decline remains mildly in favor with 1.2611 minor resistance intact. Below 1.2501 will resume the fall from 1.2731 short term top to to 55 D EMA (now at 1.2450). Sustained break there will bring retest of 1.2036 low. However, firm break of 1.2611 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.2731 resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to rise from 1.0351 (2022 low). Rise from 1.2036 is seen as the second leg, that could still extend through 1.2731. But upside should be limited by 1.3141 o bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 EMA will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again, and possibly below.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4120; (P) 1.4146; (R1) 1.4180; More

GBP/USD is still bounded in consolidation from 1.4232 and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, decisive break of 1.4240 will resume larger up trend for 1.4376 key resistance next. On the downside, however, break of 1.4098 support will delay the bullish case. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside to extend the consolidation pattern from 1.4240 with another falling leg.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3482 resistance turned support holds, up trend from 1.1409 should still continue. Decisive break of 1.4376 resistance will carry larger bullish implications and target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) at 1.5134. However, firm break of 1.3482 support will argue that the rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 1.2675 support and below.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3906; (P) 1.3958; (R1) 1.3989; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point. On the upside, break of 1.4008 should resume the rebound from 1.3668, confirm that correction from 1.4240 has completed at 1.3668 already. Further rise should then be seen to retest 1.4240 high next. However, break of 1.3668 will extend the correction from 1.4240 with another falling leg.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2084; (P) 1.2177; (R1) 1.2225; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neutral and further rally is expected as long as 1.1898 support holds. Above 1.2343 will resume the rise from 1.0351 and target 1.2759 medium term fibonacci level next. However, firm break of 1.1898 support will confirm short term topping and turn bias back to the downside.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.4248 (2021 high). Further rise is expected as long as 1.1644 resistance turned support holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 to 1.0351 at 1.2759. Sustained break there will pave the way back to 1.4248.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1942; (P) 1.1990; (R1) 1.2027; More

Range trading continues in GBP/USD and intraday bias remains neutral first. Focus remains on 1.2055 minor resistance. Firm break there will confirm short term bottoming at 1.1759. Bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.2405 resistance next. On the downside, below 1.1759 will resume larger down trend to 100% projection of 1.2666 to 1.1932 from 1.2405 at 1.1671.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) could be a leg inside the pattern from 1.1409 (2020 low), or resuming the longer term down trend. Deeper decline is expected as long as 1.2666 resistance holds. Next target is 1.1409 low. However, firm break of 1.2666 will bring stronger rise back to 55 week EMA (now at 1.3065).

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3508; (P) 1.3576; (R1) 1.3628; More

GBP/USD edged higher to 1.3642 but quickly retreat. Intraday bias stays neutral at this point. On the upside, break of 1.3642 will resume the rebound to 1.3748 resistance. Firm break there will revive the bullish case that correction from 1.4248 has completed with three waves down to 1.3158. Further rally should then be seen to retest 1.4248 high. On the downside, however, break of 1.3356 will bring retest of 1.3158 low.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 holds, up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Nevertheless sustained break of 1.3164 will argue that whole rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3684; (P) 1.3729; (R1) 1.3789; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside at this point. Further rise should be seen to 1.3912 key structural resistance. Firm break there will indicate that the correction from 1.4248 is complete with three waves down to 1.3410. Further rally would then be seen to retest 1.4248 high. On the downside, however, break of 1.3567 support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.3410 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.4248 suggests that it’s a correction to the up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) only. While deeper fall cannot be ruled out yet, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164, at least on first attempt, to bring rebound. ON the upside, firm break of 1.4376 key resistance (2018 high) will add to the case of long term bullish reversal. However, sustained trading below 1.3164 will revive some medium term bearishness and target 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2864; (P) 1.2945; (R1) 1.3008; More

Focus is now on 1.2910 support as GBP/USD’s decline from 1.3175 extends. Firm break of 1.2910 will suggest completion of the rebound from 1.2675. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.3482 at 1.2690. On the upside, above 1.3175 will extend the rebound from 1.2675 and bring retest of 1.3482 high.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.3514 key resistance. Decisive break there should also come with sustained trading above 55 month EMA (now at 1.3307). That should confirm medium term bottoming at 1.1409. Outlook will be turned bullish for 1.4376 resistance and above. Nevertheless, rejection by 1.3514 will maintain medium term bearishness for another lower below 1.1409 at a later stage.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2726; (P) 1.2756; (R1) 1.2806; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD is turned neutral as it retreats notably after failing to take out 1.2814 resistance. Near term outlook stays bearish for now. On the downside, below 1.2615 minor support will turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.2391 first. Break will extend the down trend from 1.4376 and target 61.8% projection of 1.4376 to 1.2661 from 1.3174 at 1.2114 next. However, firm break of 1.2814 resistance will be an early sign of trend reversal and bring stronger rebound back to 1.3174 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA. The structure and momentum of the fall from 1.4376 argues that it’s resuming long term down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high). And this will now remain the preferred case as long as 1.3174 structural resistance holds. GBP/USD should target a test on 1.1946 first. Decisive break there will confirm our bearish view.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1759; (P) 1.1828; (R1) 1.1828; More

Further fall is expected in GBP/USD with 1.1966 minor resistance holds. Current down trend is in progress for 100% projection of 1.2666 to 1.1932 from 1.2405 at 1.1671. Decisive break there will target a test on 1.1409 long term support. On the upside, above 1.1966 minor resistance will turn intraday bias to the upside for stronger rebound.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2505; (P) 1.2532; (R1) 1.2565; More…

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral as consolidation continues below 1.2557. While deeper retreat might be seen, further rally is expected as long as 1.2372 support holds. Above 1.2557 will resume the rise from 1.2036, and target 61.8% retracement of 1.3141 to 1.2036 at 1.2716 next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 are seen as a corrective pattern to rise from 1.0351 (2022 low). Strong rebound from 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 argues that current rise from 1.2036 is the second leg. However, while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.3141 to bring the third leg of the pattern.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3570; (P) 1.3630; (R1) 1.3687; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the downside at this point. Current fall from 1.4248 is in progress for 1.3482 resistance turned support next. Decisive break there will indicate that it’s already correcting whole up trend from 1.1409. Next target will then be 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164. On the upside, above 1.3688 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But further fall will remain in favor as long as 1.3908 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3482 resistance turned support holds, up trend from 1.1409 should still continue. Decisive break of 1.4376 resistance will carry larger bullish implications. However, firm break of 1.3482 support will argue that the rise from 1.1409 has completed. GBP/USD would then be seen in another leg of long term range pattern between 1.1409 and 1.4376. Deeper fall could then be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.2493, and even below.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2455; (P) 1.2522; (R1) 1.2559; More

GBP/USD is staying in tight range below 1.2666 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the downside, break of 1.2457 minor support will suggest that rebound from 1.2154 has completed. Intraday bias will be back on the downside for resting this low. On the upside, above 1.2666 will target 55 day EMA (now at 1.2722) and above.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) could be a leg inside the pattern from 1.1409 (2020 low), or resuming the longer term down trend. Deeper decline is expected as long as 1.2999 support turned resistance holds. On resumption, next target is 1.1409 low.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2932; (P) 1.2992; (R1) 1.3087; More

GBP/USD’s breach of 1.3042 suggests that corrective rebound from 1.2661 is resuming. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 100% projection of 1.2661 to 1.3042 from 1.2784 at 1.3165, and possibly above. However, we’d expect upside to be limited by 1.3316 key fibonacci level to complete the corrective rise and bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.2896 minor support will now argue that rebound from 1.2661 has completed. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.2784 and then 1.2661.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4099). The structure and momentum of the fall from 1.4376 argues that it’s resuming long term down trend. And this will be the preferred case as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2661 at 1.3316 holds. However, firm break of 1.3316 would bring stronger rebound to 61.8% retracement at 1.3721. And, the eventual depth of the fall from 1.4376, and the chance of hitting 1.1946 low, will depend on the strength of the interim corrective rebound from 1.2661.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3039; (P) 1.3061; (R1) 1.3096; More

GBP/USD recovered to 1.3118 but dipped since then. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.1958 to 1.3514 at 1.2920 will target 61.8% retracement at 1.2552. On the upside, above 1.3118 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.3284 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1958 medium term bottom is expected to extend higher to retest 1.4376 key resistance. Reactions from there would decide whether it’s in consolidation from 1.1946 (2016 low). Or, firm break of 1.4376 will indicate long term bullish reversal. In any case, for now, outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.2582 resistance turned support holds.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral first, with immediate focus on 1.4090 support. Firm break there will confirm short term topping at 1.4248. Consolidation pattern from 1.4240 should then be in it’s third leg. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.4008 resistance turned support and below. Though, strong rebound from current level, followed by sustained break of 1.4240, will indication resumption of larger up trend from 1.1409.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3136; (P) 1.3159; (R1) 1.3195; More….

Outlook in GBP/USD remains unchanged an intraday bias stays neutral. Focus is on 1.3109 minor support. Firm break will be an early sign of near term reversal and bring deeper fall to trend line support (now at 1.2956). Break will target 1.2774 support to confirm completion of rebound from 1.2391. Nevertheless, rebound from current level, followed by break of 1.3350, will resume rise from 1.2391 to 61.8% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2391 at 1.3618 next.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.4376 (2018 high) should have completed at 1.2391. Rise from 1.2391 is now seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.1946 (2016 low). Further rise could be seen through 1.4376 in medium term. On the downside, though, break of 1.2773 support will turn focus back to 1.2391 low and then 1.1946.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2743; (P) 1.2772; (R1) 1.2790; More…

GBP/USD is losing some upside momentum as seen in 4H MACD. But further rise is expected as long as 1.2670 support holds. Current rally from 1.2298 should target 1.2892 resistance next. However, break of 1.2670 will indicate short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper pullback.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern. Fall from 1.2892 is seen as the third leg which might have completed already. Break of 1.2892 resistance will argue that larger up trend from 1.0351(2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.3141. Meanwhile, break of 1.2445 support will extend the corrective pattern with another decline instead.
