Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2567; (P) 1.2663; (R1) 1.2716; More…

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neutral first with 1.2611 support intact. On the upside, break of 1.2826 will resume whole rally from 1.2036. However, break of 1.2611 will indicate short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for 1.2499 support.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to rise from 1.0351 (2022 low). Rise from 1.2036 is seen as the second leg that’s in progress. Upside should be limited by 1.3141 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, break of 1.2499 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neutral as range trading continues. On the downside, break of 1.1914 will resume the decline from 1.2446 for 1.1840 support and possibly below. On the upside, break of 1.2146 resistance will turn bias back to the upside for further rebound to 1.2269 and above.

In the bigger picture,as long as 1.1840 support holds, rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom (2022 low) should still continue to 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 (2021 high) to 1.0351 at 1.2759. However, decisive break of 1.1840 will complete a double top pattern (1.2445, 1.2446) after rejection by 55 week EMA (now at 1.2251). Deeper decline should be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.2445 at 1.1645.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2993; (P) 1.3025; (R1) 1.3061; More

No change in GBP/USD’s outlook and intraday bias remains mildly on the downside. Current down trend from 1.4248 is in progress for 61.8% projection of 1.3641 to 1.2999 from 1.3297 at 1.2900. On the upside, break of 1.3165 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.1409 (2020 low) has completed at 1.4248. Decline from 1.4248 could still be a corrective move, or it could be the start of a long term down trend. In either case, deeper decline would be seen back to 61.8% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.2493. In any case, break of 1.3748 resistance is needed confirm completion of the fall from 1.4248, or outlook will stay bearish.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral as correction from 1.3203 is still in progress. Further rebound could be seen. But upside should be limited by 1.3617 resistance to bring reversal. On the downside, break of 1.3203 will resume the fall from 1.4376 for 50% retracement of 1.1946 to 1.4376 at 1.3161 first, and 61.8% retracement at 1.2875 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that whole medium term rebound from 1.1936 (2016 low) has completed at 1.4376 already, with trend line broken firmly, on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4223). 61.8% retracement of 1.1936 (2016 low) to 1.4376 at 1.2874 is the next target. We’ll pay attention to the reaction from there to asses the chance of long term down trend resumption. For now, outlook will stay bearish as long as 55 day EMA (now at 1.3670) holds, even in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD is staying in consolidation from 1.3351 and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Upside of recovery should be limited below 1.3606 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.3351 will extend the decline from 1.4248 to 1.3164 fibonacci level next.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.4248 suggests that it’s a correction to the up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) only. While deeper fall cannot be ruled out yet, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164, at least on first attempt, to bring rebound. On the upside, firm break of 1.4376 key resistance (2018 high) will add to the case of long term bullish reversal. However, sustained trading below 1.3164 will revive some medium term bearishness and target 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside as rebound from 1.0351 is in progress. Further rally would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.2292 to 1.0351 at 1.1551. On the downside, break of 1.0760 minor support will indicate that the rebound is over, and bring retest of 1.0351 low.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) is resuming long term down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high). Next target is 100% projection of 2.1161 to 1.3503 from 1.7190 at 0.9532. There is no scope of a medium term rebound as long as 1.1759 support turned resistance holds.

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral for the moment and risk stays on the downside with 1.3297 resistance intact. The corrective rise from 1.2661 could have completed at 1.3297, ahead of 1.3316 key fibonacci level. On the downside, break of 1.3042 resistance turned support will bring deeper fall to 1.2784. Break there will argue that larger down trend from 1.4376 is resuming for a new low below 1.2661.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4062). The structure and momentum of the fall from 1.4376 argues that it’s resuming long term down trend. And this will be the preferred case as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2661 at 1.3316 holds. However, firm break of 1.3316 would bring stronger rebound to 61.8% retracement at 1.3721. And, the eventual depth of the fall from 1.4376, and the chance of hitting 1.1946 low, will depend on the strength of the interim corrective rebound from 1.2661.

But downside should be contained above 1.2499 support to bring rebound. On the upside, firm break of 1.2784 resistance will suggest that consolidation pattern has completed. Further rise should be seen through 1.2826 to resume the rise from 1.2036. Next target will be 1.3141 high.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low).

On the downside, break of However, break of 1.2283 will suggest that rebound from 1.1958 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside or retesting 1.1958 low. On the upside, break of 1.2582 and sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.3381 to 1.1958 at 1.2502 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.2837.

In the bigger picture, we’d remain cautious on medium term bottoming around 1.1946 (2016 low). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.2758) will extend the consolidation pattern from 1.1946 with another rise to 1.4376 resistance. Nevertheless, decisive break of 1.1946 will resume down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) to 61.8% projection of 1.7190 to 1.1946 from 1.4376 at 1.1135.

No change in GBP/USD’s outlook as consolidation from 1.2026 is still extending. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the downside, decisive break of 1.2036 will resume whole decline from 1.3141 for 1.1801 support next. However, break of 1.2336 will resume the rebound from 1.2036 to 55 D EMA (now at 1.2394).

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.3141 medium term top could still be a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low) only. But risk of complete trend reversal is rising. Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.1417. Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral at this point with 1.2910 support intact. On the downside, break of 1.2910 will suggest completion of the rebound from 1.2675. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.3482 at 1.2690. On the upside, above 1.3175 will extend the rebound from 1.2675 and bring retest of 1.3482 high.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.3514 key resistance. Decisive break there should also come with sustained trading above 55 month EMA (now at 1.3307). That should confirm medium term bottoming at 1.1409. Outlook will be turned bullish for 1.4376 resistance and above. Nevertheless, rejection by 1.3514 will maintain medium term bearishness for another lower below 1.1409 at a later stage.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.3141 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075. Strong support would be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. But outlook will be neutral at best as long as 1.3141 resistance holds, and consolidation from there is set to extend, until further development.

GBP/USD’s rally extends to as high as 1.3297 and there is no sign of topping yet. Focus stays on 1.3316 key fibonacci resistance. Rejection from there and break of 1.3096 support will be in line with our view. And that should indicate completion of corrective rise from 1.2661 and bring retest of this low. Nonetheless, firm break of 1.3315 will extend the rebound to next fibonacci level at 1.3721 instead.

In the bigger picture, for now, fall from 1.3141 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075. Strong support would be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. Range trading continues in GBP/USD and intraday bias stays neutral. On the upside, break of 1.2691 resistance will indicate that correction from 1.2826 has completed. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for retesting 1.2826. Nevertheless, decisive break of 1.2499 will argue that whole rise from 1.2036 has completed and turn near term outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Rise from 1.2036 is seen as the second leg, which could be still in progress. But upside should be limited by 1.3141 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, break of 1.2499 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3549; (P) 1.3589; (R1) 1.3639; More

GBP/USD’s sharp fall and break of 1.3515 minor support suggests that rebound from 1.3356 has completed at 1.3627 already. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 1.3356 support first. Break will resume the decline from 1.3748 to retest 1.3158 low. On the upside, however, above 1.3627 will resume the rebound for 1.3748 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 holds, up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Nevertheless sustained break of 1.3164 will argue that whole rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral for the moment. Further fall is in favor as long as 1.2579 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.2391 will resume larger down trend for 61.8% projection of 1.4376 to 1.2391 from 1.3381 at 1.2154 next. Though, break of 1.2579 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound back to 1.2783 resistance. In this case, consolidation from 1.2391 would extend with another rise, towards 1.3381 resistance, before completion.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.4376 (2018 high) is still in progress. Break of 1.2391 would target a test on 1.1946 long term bottom (2016 low). For now, we don’t expect a firm break there yet. Hence, focus will be on bottoming signal as it approaches 1.1946. In any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.3381 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3451; (P) 1.3495; (R1) 1.3535; More

GBP/USD remains bounded in range of 1.3450/3607 and intraday bias stays neutral. Near term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.3607 minor resistance holds and deeper decline is expected. Firm break of 1.3448 will pave the way to next fibonacci level at 1.2874. However, break of 1.3607 will indicate near term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.3815).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that whole medium term rebound from 1.1936 (2016 low) has completed at 1.4376 already, with trend line broken, on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, after rejection from 55 month EMA (now at 1.4223). 38.2% retracement of 1.1936 (2016 low) to 1.4376 at 1.3448 was almost met. Break there will target 61.8% retracement at 1.2874 and below. Outlook will stay bearish as long as 55 day EMA (now at 1.3815) holds, even in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2258; (P) 1.2305; (R1) 1.2348; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral first, with focus on 55 4H EMA (now at 1.2239). Strong rebound from this EMA will maintain near term bullishness for another rise to 38.2% retracement of 1.3141 to 1.2036 at 1.2458. However, sustained break of 4H 55 EMA will revive near term bearishness and bring retest of 1.2036 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the strong rebound from 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075 argues that price action from 1.3141 are merely a correction to rise from 1.0351 (2022 low). Current rally from 1.2036 is tentatively seen as the second leg of the pattern. Hence, while further rally is in favor, upside should be limited by 1.3141 to start the third leg.
