EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1274; (P) 1.1284; (R1) 1.1296; More

EUR/USD drops sharply to as low as 1.1219. Intraday bias stays on the downside for 1.1181 support. Break will confirm completion of rebound from 1.1107 at 1.1412. Retest of 1.1107 low should be seen next. Though, above 1.1310 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside to resume the rebound from 1.1107 through 1.1412 instead.

In the bigger picture, considering bullish convergence condition in daily and weekly MACD, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1107 after hitting 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. Further rise should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1107 at 1.1660. Reactions from there could indicate whether rebound from 1.1107 is a corrective rise or reversing medium term trend. In any case, risk will stay mildly on the upside as long as 1.1107 low remains intact.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside at this point. Correction from 1.2348 should have completed with three waves down to 1.1703. Further rise should be seen to 1.2442/2348 resistance zone. For now, further rally will remain in favor as long as 1.1941 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. However, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that whole rise from 1.10635 has completed. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0897; (P) 1.0932; (R1) 1.0955; More

EUR/USD’s break of 1.0926 low suggests resumption of larger down trend from 1.2555. Intraday bias is now on the downside for 1.0813 fibonacci level next. On the upside, break of 1.0967 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations. But recovery should be limited by 1.1109 resistance to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1211; (P) 1.1237; (R1) 1.1251; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral with focus on 1.1173 minor support. Break will turn bias to the downside for 1.1111 low. Break will extend down trend to 100% projection of 1.1448 to 1.1183 from 1.1324 at 1.1059. Break will target 161.8% projection at 1.0895. On the upside, in case of another rise as consolidation from 1.1111 extends, upside should be limited well below 1.1324 resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has just resumed. 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186 was also taken out. Current fall should now target 78.6% retracement at 1.0813. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the downside, break of 1.1448 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.0694 extended to as high as 1.0980 last week. The development suggests that fall from 1.1138 has completed as a correction to rise from 1.0447. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for retesting 1.1138 first. On the downside, below 1.0867 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

In the long term picture, a long term bottom is in place at 0.9534 on bullish convergence condition in M MACD. It’s still early to call for bullish trend reversal with the pair staying inside falling channel in the monthly chart. Nevertheless, sustained trading above 55 M EMA (now at 1.1055) and break of 1.1274 resistance will raise the chance of reversal and target 1.2348 resistance for confirmation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1319; (P) 1.1344 (R1) 1.1375; More…..

EUR/USD rebounds strongly after drawing support from 4 hour 55 EMA. But it’s staying in range below 1.1444 and intraday bias remains neutral first. In case of another fall, we’d expect downside to be contained by 1.1291 resistance turned support to bring rally resumption. Break of 1.1444 will extend the rise from 1.0339 low to 1.1615 resistance next. Meanwhile, break of 1.1291 will turn focus back to 1.1118 support.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 1.1298 resistance further affirm medium term reversal. That is an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.1776). Sustained break there will pave the way to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 next. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.1118 support holds.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0850; (P) 1.0870; (R1) 1.0870; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral first as consolidation from 1.0844 temporary low is extending. Further decline is expected as long as 1.0941 resistance holds. Fall from 1.1094 short term top is seen as correcting whole up trend from 0.9534. Below 1.0844 will target 1.0515 cluster support, 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1094 at 1.0498. On the upside, though, above 1.0941 resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.1094 high.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0515 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) would still extend higher. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s break of 1.2069 resistance suggests that medium term rise from 1.0339 has resumed. Initial bias remains on the upside this week for further rally. Next target will be next key fibonacci level at 1.2516. On the downside, break of 1.1822 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is still in progress for 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall fro 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside. But after all, break of 1.1661 is needed to indicate medium term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of pull back.

In the long term picture, 1.0339 is now seen as an important bottom as the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) could have completed. It’s still early to decide whether price action form 1.0339 is developing into a corrective or impulsive move. But in either case, further rally would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516

Deeper correction is expected as long as 1.1908 holds. Below 1.1727 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.1119 to 1.1908 at 1.1606. We’d expect strong support there to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Sustained break of 55 month EMA (now at 1.1760) will pave the way to key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. While rise from 1.0339 is strong, there is no confirmation that it’s developing into a long term up trend yet. Hence, we’ll be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside. Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral as consolidation continues in range of 1.6439/6742. Near term outlook will stay cautiously bullish as long as 1.6439 support holds. On the upside, above 1.6677 will target 1.6742 first. Decisive break there will resume whole rise from 1.6127 and target 1.6844 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as a correction to the up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Break of 1.6844 resistance will argue that this up trend is ready to resume through 1.7062 high. In case of another fall, strong support should be seen around 1.5846 and 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000 to bring rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1091; (P) 1.1139; (R1) 1.1182; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. On the upside, decisive break of 1.1239 will confirm medium term bottoming at 1.0777 and turn outlook bullish.. On the downside, break of 1.1038 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0777 low. That would also retain near term bearishness.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is still in favor to extend through 1.0777 low. However, sustained break of 1.1239 will also have 55 week EMA (1.1154) decisive taken out. That should confirm medium term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise could then be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0777 at 1.1456 next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1198; (P) 1.1274; (R1) 1.1312; More

Outlook in EUR/USD remains unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral. Further decline will remain in favor as long as 1.1382 resistance holds. Break of 1.1185 will resume larger decline from 1.2348. Next target is 161.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1663 from 1.1908 at 1.0934. On the upside, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1426).

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2089; (P) 1.2112; (R1) 1.2142; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 1.2148 temporary top will reaffirm the case that correction from 1.2348 has completed with three waves down to 1.1951. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 1.2188 and then 1.2348 high. However, break of 1.2053 minor support will dampen this bullish case and bring retest of 1.1951 support instead.

We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2007; (P) 1.2048; (R1) 1.2083; More

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.2348 is still in progress. Intraday bias stays on the downside for channel support (now at 1.1983). Sustained break there would argue that it’s correcting whole up trend from 1.0635 to 1.2348. Next near term target will be 100% projection of 1.2348 to 1.2052 from 1.2188 at 1.1892 first. On the upside, break of 1.2188 resistance, though, will suggest that the correction has completed and bring retest of 1.2348 high.

We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0857; (P) 1.0870; (R1) 1.0896; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first and outlook stays bearish with 1.0995 resistance intact. break of 1.0843 will resume the fall from 1.1138 to 1.0722 support. Sustained break there will argue that whole rise from 1.0447 has completed, and target this low.

Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0722 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD stayed in sideway consolidation from 1.1509 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the downside, decisive break of 1.1507 low will resume larger down trend from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447. On the upside, in case of stronger rebound, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Focus will now turn to 1.1553 support. Sustained break there would raise the chance of retesting 1.0339 low. It’s early to tell, but the chance of long term bullish reversal is fading.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1735; (P) 1.1767 (R1) 1.1798; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the downside for 1.1669 support. Break there will confirm resumption of the whole corrective fall from 1.2091. In that case, EUR/USD will target 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510. Strong support is expected there to complete the correction. On the upside, above 1.1879 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is not finished yet. It’s expected to continue after pull back from 1.2091 completes. And, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall from 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0873; (P) 1.0899; (R1) 1.0940; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is back on the upside as rally is trying to resume. Current rise from 0.9534 should target 61.8% projection of 0.9630 to 1.0733 from 1.0482 at 1.1164 next. On the downside, though, break of 1.0765 support should now indicate short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.0582).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rise is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

EUR/USD is staying in tight range above 1.1101 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral first. Another recovery cannot be rule out. But still, as long as 1.1282 resistance holds, further decline is expected. Sustained break of 1.1107 low will resume larger down trend from 1.2555. Though, firm break of 1.1282 will bring stronger rise to 1.1412 resistance.

In the bigger picture, on the one hand, 1.1107 is seen as a medium term bottom on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. On the other hand, rejection by 55 week EMA retains medium term bearishness. Outlook stays neutral for now. On the downside, break of 1.1107 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813.
