EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1565; (P) 1.1608; (R1) 1.1648; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for 1.1525 support. Decisive break there will confirm that corrective rise from 1.1300 has completed at 1.1814. In such case, deeper fall should be seen back to retest 1.1300. On the upside, above 1.1650 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring recovery. But upside should be limited well below 1.1814 to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0611; (P) 1.0642 (R1) 1.0697; More….

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.0569 extended higher but it’s still kept below 1.0688 minor resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first and the bearish outlook is unchanged. Corrective rise from 1.0339 is likely finished after being rejected by 55 week EMA. And, the larger down trend is ready to resume. Below 1.0569 will turn bias to the downside for 1.0494 support first. Break will confirm this bearish case and send EUR/USD through 1.0339 to 100% projection of 1.1298 to 1.0339 from 1.0905 at 0.9946. On the upside, however, break of 1.0688 resistance will delay the bearish case and turn focus back to 1.0905 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. However, considering bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD, break of 1.1298 will indicate term reversal. this would also be supported by sustained trading above 55 week EMA.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0905; (P) 1.0957; (R1) 1.1044; More

EUR/USD failed to break through 1.1016 resistance and retreated notably in early US session. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. Some consolidations would be seen. But for now, outlook will stay cautiously bullish as long as 1.0722 support holds. On the upside, decisive break of 1.1016 will confirm resumption of whole rally from 1.0447. Further rise should then be seen to retest 1.1274 high.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 55 D EMA will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0311; (P) 1.0359; (R1) 1.0412; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment as consolidation from 1.0481 is extending. As long as 1.0092 resistance turned support holds, further rally is still expected. On the upside, break of 1.0481 will resume the rise from 0.9534 and target 1.0609 fibonacci level. However, sustained break of 1.0092 will turn bias to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.0041) and below.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom was in place at 0.9534, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Even as a corrective rise, rally from 0.9534 should target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.0609. Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0566) will raise the chance of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1273. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0092 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1526; (P) 1.1569; (R1) 1.1602; More…..

EUR/USD rebounds notably after drawing support from 1.1534 minor support. But it’s staying below 1.1610 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral first. ON the upside, break of 1.1610 will extend the rebound from 1.1431 towards 1.1814 resistance. But we’d expect upside to be limited by 1.1779/1814 resistance zone to bring down trend resumption eventually. On the downside, break of 1.1534 will indicate completion of rebound from 1.1431. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.1431 and then 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD stayed in consolidation last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Stronger recovery cannot be ruled out. But upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption. Decline from 1.2555 is still in progress. Firm break of 1.1507 will send EUR/USD through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Focus will now turn to 1.1553 support. Sustained break there would raise the chance of retesting 1.0339 low. It’s early to tell, but the chance of long term bullish reversal is fading.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2315; (P) 1.2374 (R1) 1.2436; More….

EUR/USD weakens mildly in early US session. But after all, it’s staying in consolidation pattern from 1.2537 and intraday bias remains neutral. As long as 1.2222 support holds, further rise is in favor. Sustained break of 1.2494/2516 will target 100% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.3075 next. However, break of 1.2222 will indicate rejection from 1.2494/2516, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, and turn near term outlook bearish for 1.1915 support first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. But key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 is looking vulnerable. Sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862. Nonetheless, rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1566; (P) 1.1587; (R1) 1.1629; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. Further decline is expected as long as 1.1691 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.1523 will resume the fall from 1.2265, and that from 1.2348 too, for long term fibonacci level at 1.1289 next. However, firm break of 1.1691 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound, towards 1.1908 resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.2348 should at least be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low). As long as 1.1908 resistance holds, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289. Nevertheless break of 1.1908 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.2348 high.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0893; (P) 1.0918; (R1) 1.0957; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as recovery from 1.0879 temporary low extends. Outlook remains bearish as long as 1.1109 resistance holds. Medium term down trend is expected to continue and break of 1.0879 will target 1.0813 fibonacci level next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1280; (P) 1.1302; (R1) 1.1339; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias remains neutral first. Downside breakout is mildly in favor with 1.1382 minor resistance intact. On the downside, break of 1.1185 will resume larger fall from 1.2348. Next target is 161.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1663 from 1.1908 at 1.0934. On the upside, however, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1462).

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dropped to as low as 1.1387 last week. The firm break of 1.1509 support finally confirmed resumption of down trend from 1.2555. Initial bias stays on the downside this week. Deeper fall should be seen to 61.8% projection of 1.2413 to 1.1509 from 1.1745 at 1.1186. Note that it’s a cluster level with 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. Hence, we’ll tentatively look for short term bottoming around 1.1186. On the upside, above 1.1482 minor resistance will turn bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.2555 medium term is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. Note again that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Sustained break of 1.1186 could pave the way back to retest 1.0339 low. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.1851 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Sustained trading below 55 week EMA adds bearishness to the case. Firm break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 should at least bring a retest on 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0485; (P) 1.0584; (R1) 1.0648; More

EUR/USD recovered ahead of 1.0481 resistance turned support but stays below 1.0733 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 1.0481 will confirm short term topping, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Deeper fall would be seen back to 1.0289 support and below. On the upside, however, firm break of 61.8% projection of 0.9729 to 1.0481 from 1.0289 at 1.0754 will pave the way to 100% projection at 1.1041.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.0609. Rejection by 1.0609 will suggest that price actions from 0.9534 medium term bottom are developing into a corrective pattern. Thus, medium bearishness is retained for another fall through 0.9534 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.0609 will raise the chance of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1273.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0682; (P) 1.0715 (R1) 1.0770; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays mildly on the upside as rebound from 1.0348 extends. Firm break of 55 day EMA (now at 1.0760) will target 1.0935 resistance next. On the downside, however, below 1.0563 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0348 low instead.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.0339 long term support (2017 low). Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 1.0090. However, firm break of 1.0805 support turned resistance will delay this bearish case and bring medium term corrective rebound first.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD reversed after edging higher to 1.1016. With breach of 1.0851 support, a short term top should be in place on bearish divergence condition in 4H MACD. Initial bias is mildly on the downside this week for 55 D EMA (now at 1.0766). On the upside, however, break of 1.1016 will resume the rise from 1.0447 to retest 1.1274 high instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 55 D EMA will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.

In the long term picture, a long term bottom is in place at 0.9534 on bullish convergence condition in M MACD. It’s still early to call for bullish trend reversal with the pair staying inside falling channel. Nevertheless, sustained trading above 55 M EMA (now at 1.1081) and break of 1.1274 resistance will raise the chance of reversal and target 1.2348 resistance for confirmation.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD lost much upside momentum after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.1298 to 1.0339 at 1.0705. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. With 1.0578 minor support intact, further rise could be seen. But such rise from 1.0339 is seen as a corrective move and should be limited by 1.0872 resistance. On the downside, below 1.0453 will argue that it’s completed and turn bias back to the downside for 1.0339 support.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

In the long term picture, the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress and there is no clear sign of completion. We’d expect more downside towards 0.8223 (2000 low) as long as 1.1298 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1643; (P) 1.1680; (R1) 1.1709; More…..

EUR/USD is still staying in range below 1.1733 and intraday bias remains neutral. Rebound from 1.1300 is seen as a corrective move. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1617 minor support will turn bias back to the downside. Further break of 1.1525 support will indicate completion of this corrective rebound from 1.1300. However, firm break of 1.1779 will extend the rise to 100% projection of 1.1300 to 1.1733 from 1.1525 at 1.1958.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1372; (P) 1.1430 (R1) 1.1470; More…..

EUR/USD breached 1.1382 minor support but quickly recovered. Intraday bias stays neutral first. Firm break of 1.1382 will suggest short term topping, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In such case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for pull back to 55 day EMA (now at 1.1182). But downside should be contained by 1.1118 support to bring rise resumption. On the upside, break of 1.1489 will extend recent rally from 1.0339 to 1.1615 key resistance next.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 1.1298 resistance further affirm medium term reversal. That is an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.1763). Sustained break there will pave the way to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 next. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.1118 support holds.

EUR/USD’s break of 1.0718 support revives that case that rise from 1.0601 has completed at 1.0915. Fall from there is seen as another leg inside the corrective pattern from 1.1274 high. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 1.0601 support first. Firm break there will target 1.0447 next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern, which might still be in progress. Break of 1.0601 will target 1.0447 support and possibly below. Nevertheless, on the upside, firm break of 1.1138 will argue that larger up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.1274 high.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1003; (P) 1.1050 (R1) 1.1128; More….

EUR/USD’s rally continues today and reaches as high as 1.1116 so far. Break of upper channel resistance suggests upside acceleration. Intraday bias remains on the downside for 38.2% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0569 at 1.1245, which is close to 1.1298 key resistance. For now, rise from 1.0339 is still viewed as a corrective move. Hence we’d expect strong resistance below 1.1245/98 to limit upside and bring reversal. On the downside, below 1.10289 minor support will turn bias neutral and bring consolidation. But break of 1.0838 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, further rise will remain in favor.

However, considering bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD, break of 1.1298 will indicate long term reversal.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1579; (P) 1.1603; (R1) 1.1620; More

Outlook in EUR/USD unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.1668 will target 55 day EMA (now at 1.1695). Sustained break there will be a sign that larger correction from 1.2348 has completed. Stronger rally would be seen to 1.1908 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, though, break of 1.1571 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1523 support instead. Break there will resume larger fall from 1.2348.
