EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0548; (P) 1.0583; (R1) 1.0607; More

EUR/USD dips notably after rejection by 55 4H EMA, but stays above 1.0487 support. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Stronger recovery cannot be ruled out. But near term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0764 support turned resistance holds. Break of 1.0487 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0199 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top could still be a correction to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). But chance of a complete trend reversal is rising. In either case, current fall should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 next. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 D EMA (now at 1.0786) holds, in case of rebound.

EUR/USD drops further to as low as 1.1529 and focus is on 1.1529 support. Firm break there will indicate e completion of the corrective rebound and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend from 1.2555. On the upside, above 1.1627 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1733 and possibly above. But in that case, we’d continue to expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2216; (P) 1.2245; (R1) 1.2299; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside at this point. Current rise from 1.0635 should target 61.8% projection of 1.0635 to 1.2011 from 1.1602 at 1.2452 next. On the downside, break of 1.2058 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0852; (P) 1.0891; (R1) 1.0931; More

EUR/USD is losing upside momentum as seen in bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. But further rise could still be seen as long as 1.0765 support holds, to 61.8% projection of 0.9630 to 1.0733 from 1.0482 at 1.1164 next. On the downside, though, break of 1.0765 support should now confirm short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.0591).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rise is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1694 and possibly below. We’d expect strong support from 1.1062 to contain downside to complete the correction from 1.2348. On the upside, above 1.1804 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for rebound to 1.1988 resistance.

However, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that whole rise from 1.10635 has completed. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1694 at 1.1289.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0135; (P) 1.0204; (R1) 1.0252; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, above 1.0277 will resume the rebound from 0.9951 to 1.0348 support turned resistance, and then channel resistance at 1.0514. Nevertheless, break of 1.0118 minor support will argue that larger down trend is ready to resume, and should bring retest of 0.9951 low first.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of rebound.

EUR/USD’s break of 1.0641 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.0348, just ahead of 1.0339 long term support. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.0766). Break there will target 1.0935 resistance next. On the downside, however, below 1.0532 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0348 low instead.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.0339 long term support (2017 low). Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 1.0090. However, firm break of 1.0805 support turned resistance will delay this bearish case and bring medium term corrective rebound first.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. Further rise is mildly in favor with 1.1754 support intact. On the upside, break of 1.2011 will resume whole rise form 1.0635. Nevertheless, on the downside, firm break of 1.1754 will turn bias to the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485, to correct the rise from 1.6035.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0847; (P) 1.0883; (R1) 1.0908; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside at this point, even though downside momentum is relatively unconvincing. Break of 1.0832 will extend the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0609/34 cluster support. On the upside, above 1.0951 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.1064 resistance holds, in case of rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top should be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Fall from there is seen as a correction to the uptrend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation. Yet, medium term outlook will be neutral for now, as long as 1.1274 resistance holds.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside for the moment. Rebound from 1.1703 short term bottom should target 1.1988 next. Break there will add to the case that whole correction from 1.2348 has completed. Further rally would then be seen to 1.2242 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, however, break of 1.1785 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1694.

However, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that whole rise from 1.10635 has completed. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289.

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. While corrective rise from 1.1509 might extend higher, we’d expect strong resistance from 1.1822/1995 resistance zone to limit upside and bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1617 minor support will bring retest of 1.1509 low first. Break will resume the decline from 1.2555 and target 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for retesting 1.0635 low. Decisive break there will confirm larger down trend resumption. On the upside, break of 1.0969 minor resistance will extend the corrective rise from 1.0635. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD recovered after falling to 1.0754, and drew support from 55 D EMA (now at 1.0770). Intraday bias is turned neutral for consolidations. But another fall is in favor as long as 1.0894 minor resistance holds. Break of 1.0754 and sustained trading below 55 D EMA will pave the way to retest 1.0447 support. Nevertheless, break of 1.0894 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1016 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 55 D EMA will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.

We’d expect strong resistance from there to limit upside. On the downside, break of 1.1444 minor support will suggests that the rebound is completed. Intraday bias would be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.2555 medium term is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. EUR/USD’s break of 1.1612 minor support argues that larger decline might be able to resume. Intraday bias is turned to the downside for 1.1507 first. Firm break there will resume whole decline from 1.2555, through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.
