EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1531; (P) 1.1582 (R1) 1.1655; More…..

EUR/USD rebounds to as high as 1.1674 so far today but outlook is unchanged. While further rise cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited below 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption. Firm break of 1.1509 low will resume larger decline from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0142; (P) 1.0205; (R1) 1.0291; More

With 1.0118 minor support intact, intraday bias in EUR/USD stays mildly on the upside for 1.0348 support turned resistance. Break there will target channel resistance at 1.0514. On the downside, below 1.0118 minor support will bring retest of 0.9951 low instead.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1156; (P) 1.1182 (R1) 1.1219; More….

The consolidation from 1.1295 is still in progress and intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral. With 1.1109 support intact, there is no indication of reversal yet. Decisive break of 1.1298 key resistance will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1109 support will indicate short term topping and rejection from 1.1298. In such case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.0838 support.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0941). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2464; (P) 1.2487 (R1) 1.2529; More….

EUR/USD’s rally continues today and breach of 1.2537 resistance suggests that larger up trend is resuming. Intraday bias stays on the upside. Sustained trading above 1.2537 will confirm and page the way to 100% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.3075. However, break of 1.2456 minor support will indicate rejection from 1.2537 and turn bias back to the downside for 1.2205 support.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0558; (P) 1.0611 (R1) 1.0642; More….

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.0905 is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the downside. Corrective rise from 1.0339 is likely finished after being rejected by 55 week EMA. And, the larger down trend is ready to resume. Further fall should be seen to 1.0494 support first. Decisive break of 1.0494 support will confirm this bearish case and target 1.0339 low. Break of 1.0339 will confirm down trend resumption and target 100% projection of 1.1298 to 1.0339 from 1.0905 at 0.9946. On the upside, however, break of 1.0688 resistance will delay the bearish case and turn focus back to 1.0905 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. However, considering bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD, break of 1.1298 will indicate term reversal. this would also be supported by sustained trading above 55 week EMA.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dropped sharply last week but downside is contained above 1.1066 support so far. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and rise from 1.0879 is in favor to continue. On the upside, break of 1.1239 will resume such rally and 100% projection of 1.0879 to 1.1179 from 1.0981 at 1.1281 next. However, firm break of 1.1066 will argue that whole rise from 1.0879 has completed. In this case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.0981 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move at this point. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.

In the long term picture, outlook remains bearish for now. EUR/USD is held below decade long trend line that started from 1.6039 (2008 high). It was also rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 before. A break of 1.0039 low will remain in favor as long as 55 month EMA (now at 1.1538) holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0833; (P) 1.0847; (R1) 1.0874; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment, and outlook is unchanged. On the downside, decisive break of 1.0694/0723 support zone will resume whole fall from 1.1138. On the upside, though, break of 1.0875 will resume the rebound from 1.0723 towards 1.0980 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0130; (P) 1.0191; (R1) 1.0240; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias stays neutral. On the downside, break of 1.0095 minor support will argue that larger down trend is ready to resume. Intraday bias will be back to the downside for retesting 0.9951 low first. For now, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0348 support turned resistance holds, even in case of another rise.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1805; (P) 1.1823; (R1) 1.1841; More

Outlook in EUR/USD is unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, break of 1.1792 support will confirm rejection by 1.1907 resistance. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1663 low first. On the upside, sustained break of 1.1907 should indicate that fall from 1.2265, as well as the consolidation pattern from 1.2348, have completed. Near term outlook will be turned bullish for 1.2265/2348 resistance zone.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally remains in favors long as 1.1602 support holds, to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 and below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0893; (P) 1.0918; (R1) 1.0957; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as recovery from 1.0879 temporary low extends. Outlook remains bearish as long as 1.1109 resistance holds. Medium term down trend is expected to continue and break of 1.0879 will target 1.0813 fibonacci level next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1821; (P) 1.1879 (R1) 1.1922; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside at this point. Current fall is in progress to 261.8% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1730. As it will then be close to 1.1708 medium term fibonacci level, some support could be seen around 1.1708/30 to bring rebound. Though, break of 1.1938 minor resistance is needed to be the first sign of short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. With current downside acceleration, there is prospect of hitting 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 before completing the decline. But still, we’ll need to look at the structure before deciding if it’s a corrective or impulsive move.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0893; (P) 1.0918; (R1) 1.0957; More

A temporary low was formed at 1.0879 in EUR/USD with current recovery. Intraday bias is turned neutral for some consolidations first. But outlook remains bearish as long as 1.1109 resistance holds.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1356; (P) 1.1416; (R1) 1.1454; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside at the moment. Fall from 1.1814 has just resumed and should target 1.1300 low. Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.2555. On the upside, above 1.1476 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will remain cautiously bearish as long as 1.1621 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD edged lower to 1.1771 but lost momentum since then. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. on the downside, break of 1.1771 will resume the fall from 1.2265, as the third leg of correction from 1.2348, to 1.1703 support. On the upside, though, break of 1.1880 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound to 1.1974 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

In the long term picture, focus remains on 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). Sustained break there should confirm long term bullish reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.3862 and above. However, rejection by 1.2555 will keep medium term outlook neutral first, and raise the prospect of down trend resumption at a later stage.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0716; (P) 1.0742 (R1) 1.0774; More…..

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. Rebound from 1.0339 could extend higher with 1.0588 minor support intact. Still, such rise is seen as a corrective move and should be limited by 1.0872 resistance. On the downside, below 1.0588 minor support will argue that it’s completed and turn bias back to the downside for 1.0339 support.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1532; (P) 1.1589 (R1) 1.1646; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as more consolidative could be seen. But in case of another recovery, upside should be limited below 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption. Firm break of 1.1509 will resume larger decline from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1449; (P) 1.1476; (R1) 1.1520; More…..

EUR/USD dipped to 1.1431 but recovered notably from there. Intraday bias is turned neutral for some more consolidations. But another decline is expected s long as 1.1549 minor resistance holds. Below 1.1431 will resume the fall from 1.1814 and target 1.1300 low. Nonetheless, break of 1.1549 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound, back to 55 day EMA (now at 1.1621).

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300at 1.1779.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0487; (P) 1.0543 (R1) 1.0603; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading continues. In case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 1.0756 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, firm break of 1.0470 will resume larger down trend to 161.8% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0069.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1185 support turned resistance holds. The break of 1.0635 (2020 low) now raises the chance that it’s resuming long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Retest of 1.0339 (2017 low) low should be seen next. Decisive break there will confirm this bearish case.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD rose to 1.1733 last week but formed a short term top there and retreated sharply. At this point, another rise could still be seen as long as 1.1529 minor support holds. However, in that case, we’d continue to expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1529 minor will indicate completion of the rebound and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. After all, consolidation from 1.1300 will likely extend for a while before completion.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Sustained trading below 55 week EMA adds bearishness to the case. Firm break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 should at least bring a retest on 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1274 extended lower last week and touched 1.0609/34 cluster support zone. Initial bias is turned neutral this week first. Strong rebound from current level, followed by break of 1.0767 resistance, should confirm short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 1.0944 resistance. However, sustained break of 1.0609/34 support zone will carry larger bearish implication, and target 1.0515 support next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Strong support could be seen from 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609) to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. However, sustained break of 1.0609/0634 will raise the chance of bearish trend reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 1.0199.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign of trend reversal yet. That is, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might still be in progress. Rejection by 55 M EMA (now at 1.1126) will retain long term bearishness, for another fall through 0.9534 at a later stage.
