EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1501; (P) 1.1551 (R1) 1.1623; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside as rebound from 1.1300 short term bottom is extending. Further rally could be seen towards 1.1745 resistance. We’d still expect strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring larger down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.1493 minor support will suggest that the rebound is completed. Intraday bias would be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.2555 medium term is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. Note again that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Sustained break of 1.1186 could pave the way back to retest 1.0339 low. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 holds, even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1729; (P) 1.1764; (R1) 1.1820; More…..

The pull back from 1.2011 should have completed with three waves down to 1.1612. Intraday bias EUR/USD is turned to the upside for retesting 1.2011 high. On the downside, below 1.1695 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 1.1612 support. Break will resume the correction from 1.2011 to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1771; (P) 1.1803; (R1) 1.1825; More

Fall from 1.2265, as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.2348, is still in progress. Deeper decline would be seen to 1.1703 key support next. On the upside, break of 1.1894 resistance will suggest short term bottoming, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Stronger rebound should then be seen to 1.1974 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0660; (P) 1.0696; (R1) 1.0759; More

EUR/USD is holding inside range of 1.0515/0759 and intraday bias remains neutral. Focus stays on 1.0759 resistance. Firm break there will argue that corrective fall from 1.1032 has completed at 1.0515, ahead of 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0258. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.1032 high. Nevertheless, sustained break of 1.0258 will turn near term outlook bearish for 61.8% retracement at 1.0106.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0482 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) should continue to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. However, sustained break of 1.0482 will bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0106, with risk of breaking through 0.9534 eventually.

EUR/USD recovers ahead of 1.1695 support but stays well below 1.1916 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rally is in favor as long as 1.1695 support holds. Break of 1.1916 will resume whole rise form 1.0635. However, on the downside, firm break of 1.1695 should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside towards 55 day EMA (now at 1.1467).

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise form 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1825; (P) 1.1871; (R1) 1.1923; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral as it retreated again after hitting 1.1916. But overall, further rise is expected as long as 1.1695 support holds. On the upside, break of 1.1916 will extend larger rally to 161.8% projection of 1.0774 to 1.1422 from 1.1255 at 1.2303. Nevertheless, on the downside, break of 1.1695 support will now indicate short term topping and bring deeper correction lower.

In the bigger picture, the strong break of 1.1496 resistance now suggests that whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise from 1.0635 should be the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1560; (P) 1.1625; (R1) 1.1661; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside at this point. It’s now in a deeper correction to whole rise from 1.0634. Next target is 1.1289 medium term fibonacci level. On the upside, above 1.1667 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.1908 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that rise from 1.0635 (2020 low) has completed at 1.2348. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289. Note also that the firm break of 55 week EMA (1.1830) also carries medium term bearish implication. Firm break of 1.1289 will pave the way to retest 1.0635 low. On the upside, though, break of 1.1908 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.2348 high.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1560; (P) 1.1599; (R1) 1.1664; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside with 1.1529 minor support intact. Rebound from 1.1300 is in favor to extend to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. We’d expect upside to be limited there, at least on initial attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, below 1.1529 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. But after all, consolidation from 1.1300 will extend for a while before completion.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1788; (P) 1.1814; (R1) 1.1855; More…..

EUR/USD spikes higher in early US session but quickly retreated. It’s after all staying in range below 1.1965 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the upside, break of 1.1965 will extend the whole rise from 1.0635. However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1711 should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1581).

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1562; (P) 1.1626; (R1) 1.1667; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. As long as 1.1529 minor support holds, another rise cannot be ruled out. However, in that case, we’d continue to expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1529 minor will indicate completion of the rebound and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. After all, consolidation from 1.1300 will likely extend for a while before completion.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0939; (P) 1.0957; (R1) 1.0990; More

EUR/USD recovers mildly overnight and stays firm in Asian session. Nevertheless, it’s still capped below 1.0997 minor resistance. Intraday bias stays neutral at this point. On the downside break of 1.0876 will resume the fall from 1.1138 short term top to 1.0722 support next. However, break of 1.0997 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.1138 high instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0722 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1486; (P) 1.1518; (R1) 1.1551; More…..

EUR/USD’s breach of 1.1463 suggests resumption of fall from 1.1814. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low next. On the upside, above 1.1549 minor resistance will now indicate short term bottoming and bring lengthier consolidation. But for now, we’d hold on to the view that correction from 1.1300 has completed at 1.1814. Thus, we’d expect upside to be limited well below 1.1814 to bring another decline to 1.1300 eventually.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0476; (P) 1.0523 (R1) 1.0555; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point and some more consolidations could be seen. Upside of recovery should be limited by 1.0756 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. Break of 1.0470 will target 161.8% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0069.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1185 support turned resistance holds. The break of 1.0635 (2020 low) now raises the chance that it’s resuming long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Retest of 1.0339 (2017 low) low should be seen next. Decisive break there will confirm this bearish case.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1300; (P) 1.1338; (R1) 1.1363; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside break of 1.1482 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.1120 at 1.1589 next. Sustained break there will argue that whole fall from 1.2348 has completed too and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1879. On the downside, however, break of 1.1265 support will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 1.1120 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1593) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0908; (P) 1.0930; (R1) 1.0962; More

EUR/USD is losing some upside momentum as seen in 4H MACD, but there is no clear sign of topping yet. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0958 will pave the way to retest 1.1274 high. On the downside, below 1.0894 minor support will turn bias to the downside for deeper retreat.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1555; (P) 1.1612 (R1) 1.1641; More…..

EUR/USD is still bounded in consolidation pattern from 1.1509 and intraday bias stays neutral. Nonetheless, break of 1.1574 minor support will be the first sign of downside breakout. That would bring retest of 1.1507/9 support zone first. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447. Again, in case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0180; (P) 1.0219; (R1) 1.0259; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. on the downside, break of 1.0118 will suggest that rebound from 0.9951 has completed. Bias will be back on the downside for retesting 0.9951 low. On the upside, above 1.0277 will resume the rebound to 1.0348 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1854; (P) 1.1874; (R1) 1.1912; More…..

EUR/USD’s breach of 1.1920 suggests that rebound from 1.1602 is resuming. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.2011 high. Decisive break there will resume whole rally from 1.0635 low. On the downside, though, break of 1.1800 support will turn bias to the downside, to extend the consolidation pattern from 1.2011 with another falling leg.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9812; (P) 0.9890; (R1) 1.0036; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 0.9729 will reaffirm the case the corrective rise from 0.9534 has completed at 1.0092. Deeper fall would then be seen to retest 0.9534 resistance next. However, break of 1.0092 will resume the rebound towards 1.0368 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook stays bearish with trading inside the falling channel. That is larger down trend from 1.2348 (2021 high) is still in progress. Firm break of 0.9534 low will confirm this bearish case. However, break of 1.0092 will add to the case of medium term bottoming, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD, and bring further rally towards 55 week EMA (now at 1.0583).

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD extended the consolidation from 1.1094 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays neutral this week first and further rally is in favor. On the upside, firm break of 1.1094 will resume larger up trend to 1.1273 fibonacci level. Break there will target 61.8% projection of 0.9534 to 1.1032 from 1.0515 at 1.1441 However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4H MACD, break of 1.0908 support will indicate short term topping and turn bias back to the downside.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. Sustained break there will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high). This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0515 support holds, even in case of deeper pull back.

In the long term picture, while it’s still early to call for long term trend reversal at this point, the strong break of 1.0635 support turned resistance (2020 low) should at least turn outlook neutral. Focus is now on 55 M EMA (now at 1.1162). Rejection by this EMA will revive long term bearishness. However, sustained break above here will be an indication underlying bullishness and target 1.2348 resistance next.
