EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0788; (P) 1.0812; (R1) 1.0861; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside at this point. Rise from 1.0723 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.0694. Further rally would be seen to 1.0941/0980 resistance zone. On the downside, though, below 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0807) will bring retest of 1.0694/0723 support zone instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0673; (P) 1.0695; (R1) 1.0730; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral at this point. Further rally is in favor as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0656) holds. Decisive break of 1.0764 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0763) will extend the rise from 1.0447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.0958 next. However, sustained break of 55 4H EMA will argue that the rebound has completed, and target 1.0515 support, and then 1.0447 low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1162; (P) 1.1199 (R1) 1.1231; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral with focus on 1.1298 key resistance. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1109 support will indicate short term topping and rejection from 1.1298. In such case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.0838 support.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0922). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0911; (P) 1.0946; (R1) 1.0974; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral with current retreat. Some consolidations would be seen below 1.0980 temporary top first. But further rise would remain in favor as long as 1.0797 support holds. Fall from 1.1138 could have completed at 1.0694, as a correction to rise from 1.0447. Above 1.0980 will resume the rise from 1.0694 to retest 1.1138 high.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook (Update)

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2135; (P) 1.2186 (R1) 1.2213; More….

EUR/USD finally takes out 1.2154 key support level decisively. The development, with downside acceleration should confirm medium term reversal. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 161.8% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1991 next. ON the upside, break of 1.2209 minor resistance is needed to be the first sign of short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support should confirm rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. We’ll look at the structure and momentum of such decline before decision if it’s an impulsive or corrective move.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1281; (P) 1.1306; (R1) 1.1349; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment, with focus staying on 1.1289 long term fibonacci level. Sustained break there will carry larger bearish implication, and extend the fall from 1.2348 to 161.8% projection of 1.1908 to 1.1523 from 1.1691 at 1.1068. On the upside, above 1.1384 indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1668; (P) 1.1701 (R1) 1.1749; More…..

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.1509 extends higher today and further rise would be seen. But still, it’s seen as a corrective move. Hence, upside should be limited by 1.1822/1995 resistance zone to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1651 minor support will bring retest of 1.1509 low first. Break will resume the decline from 1.2555 and target 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1521; (P) 1.1589 (R1) 1.1699; More

EUR/USD’s rise resumed after briefly consolidation and broke 1.1615 key resistance. Intraday bias is back to the upside. Sustained trading above 1.1615 will extend the medium term rise to 1.2 handle next. On the downside, break of 1.1478 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 1.1298 resistance further affirm medium term reversal. That is, an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.1756). Sustained break there will pave the way to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 next. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.1118 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0853; (P) 1.0885; (R1) 1.0910; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral with current retreat and some consolidations would be seen below 1.0915. Further rally is expected as long as 1.0788 support holds. Break of 1.0915 will resume the rally from 1.0601 to 61.8% projection of 1.0601 to 1.0894 from 1.0788 at 1.0969. However, firm break of 1.0788 will turn bias back to the downside for deeper decline instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern. Fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg and could have completed. Firm break of 1.1138 will argue that larger up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.1274 high. On the downside, break of 1.0788 support will extend the corrective pattern instead.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9748; (P) 0.9797; (R1) 0.9838; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading continues. Deeper decline is expected with 0.9998 resistance intact. Below 0.9630 will bring retest of 0.9534 low first. Firm break there will resume larger down trend. However, break of 0.9998 will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, break of 0.9998 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish even with strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0954; (P) 1.0978; (R1) 1.0993; More

EUR/USD is staying in consolidation from 1.0879 and intraday bias remains neutral first. While further rise cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1109 resistance. On the downside, break of 1.0879 will resume larger down trend to 1.0813 fibonacci level next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.0494 accelerated higher last week. The development dampened our bearish view of down trend resuming. Instead, it suggest that corrective rise from 1.0339 is still in progress. And further rise would be seen through 1.0828 resistance in near term.

EUR/USD 4 Hours Chart

Initial bias in EUD/USD stays on the upside this week for 1.0828 resistance and above. However, since rise from 1.0339 is seen as a corrective move. We’d upside to be limited by 100% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0494 at 1.0983 to bring larger down trend resumption eventually. On the downside, break of 1.0639 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.0494 support.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115.

EUR/USD Weekly Chart

In the long term picture, the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress and there is no clear sign of completion. We’d expect more downside towards 0.8223 (2000 low) as long as 1.1298 resistance holds. However, firm break of 1.1298 should now confirm long term reversal.

EUR/USD Monthly Chart

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0836; (P) 1.0888; (R1) 1.0917; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point as sideway trading continues. Further rally is mildly in favor with 1.0843 support intact. On the upside, break of 1.1011 will resume the rise from 1.0634 and target 1.1094 resistance. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend from 0.9534. However, break of 1.0843 will turn bias to the downside for 1.0634 support instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0515 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) would still extend higher. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD rebounded to 1.1879 last week but retest this then. Initial bias is neutral this week first. At this point, we’re slightly favoring the case that pull back from 1.2091 has completed at 1.1669, ahead of 1.1661 support. Above 1.1879 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high. However, break of 1.1787 will dampen this view. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside through 1.1669 low. Correction from 1.2091 would then extend to 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510 and completes there.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is not finished yet. It’s expected to continue after pull back from 1.2091 completes. And, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall from 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside.

In the long term picture, 1.0339 is now seen as an important bottom as the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) could have completed. It’s still early to decide whether price action form 1.0339 is developing into a corrective or impulsive move. But in either case, further rally would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral with focus on 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0657). Further rise is in favor as long as this EMA holds.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0784; (P) 1.0826; (R1) 1.0850; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral with current recovery and some consolidations would be seen. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0868) holds. Below 1.0801 will resume the fall from 1.0980 to retest 1.0694 first. Break there will resume the decline from 1.1138 and target 100% projection of 1.1138 to 1.0694 from 1.0980 at 1.0536.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside at this point. Current fall is part of the decline from 1.1138. Next target is 100% projection of 1.1138 to 1.0694 from 1.0980 at 1.0536 next. On the upside, above 1.0664 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another fall.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Current fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg. While deeper decline is would be seen to 1.0447 and possibly below. Strong support should emerge from 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 to complete the correction.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2344; (P) 1.2369 (R1) 1.2393; More….

Focus is back on 1.2302 minor support in EUR/USD. Break will turn bias to the downside for 1.2214 support first. And firm break there will revive the case of rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci level and turn outlook bearish. On the upside, above 1.2396 will extend the rise from 1.2214 to 1.2475 and then 1.2555.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862 in medium term.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1156; (P) 1.1187; (R1) 1.1204; More…..

EUR/USD’s break of 1.1175 minor support suggests that corrective rise from 1.111 has completed at 1.1264 already. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1111 low first. Firm break there will resume larger down trend from 1.2555. Next target will be 100% projection of 1.1569 to 1.1176 from 1.1448 at 1.1105 next. On the upside, in case of another recovery, upside should be limited below 1.1324 resistance to bring down trend resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has just resumed. Current fall should now target 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.0813. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the downside, break of 1.1448 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0806; (P) 1.0873; (R1) 1.0910; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral first with current recovery. On the downside, firm break of 1.0764 will resume whole decline from 1.1274 to 1.0609/34 cluster support next. On the upside, however, break of 1.0944 resistance will argue that the corrective fall from 1.1274 has completed with three waves down to 1.0764. Further rally would then be seen to 1.1064 resistance for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to bring rebound. Yet, medium term outlook will be neutral for now, as long as 1.1274 resistance holds.
