Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0742; (P) 1.0764; (R1) 1.0803; More

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook and intraday bias stays neutral. Further rally is expected as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0742) holds. On the upside, above 1.0810 will resume the rebound from 1.0601 to 1.0884 resistance next. However, firm break of 55 4H EMA will argue that the rebound has completed, and turn bias to the downside for 1.0648 support instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern. Fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg and could have completed. Firm break of 1.1138 will argue that larger up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.1274 high. On the downside, break of 1.0601 will extend the corrective pattern instead.

EUR/USD dips mildly today but stays well inside range of 1.0447/0616. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, firm break of 1.0616 resistance will confirm short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound. Nevertheless, rejection by 1.0616 will retain near term bearishness. Break of 1.0447 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0199 fibonacci level next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top could still be a correction to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). But chance of a complete trend reversal is rising. In either case, current fall should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 next. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 D EMA (now at 1.0730) holds, in case of rebound.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0964; (P) 1.1026; (R1) 1.1124; More

EUR/USD defended 1.0926 low and rebounded strongly. Consolidation from 1.0926 is extending and further rise cannot be ruled out. But upside should be limited below 1.1164 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.0926 will resume lager down trend from 1.2555 for 1.0813 fibonacci level next. However, firm break of 1.1164 will an early indication of larger reversal and target 1.1249 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0768; (P) 1.0798; (R1) 1.0837; More

EUR/USD is staying in consolidation above 1.0759 temporary low and intraday bias stays neutral. Deeper decline is expected as long as 1.0903 resistance holds. Fall from 1.1094 is seen as correcting whole up trend from 0.9534. Below 1.0759 will target 1.0515 cluster support, 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1094 at 1.0498. On the upside, though, firm break of 1.0903 will bring stronger rebound back to retest 1.1094 high instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0515 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) would still extend higher. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1281; (P) 1.1306; (R1) 1.1349; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment, with focus staying on 1.1289 long term fibonacci level. Sustained break there will carry larger bearish implication, and extend the fall from 1.2348 to 161.8% projection of 1.1908 to 1.1523 from 1.1691 at 1.1068. On the upside, above 1.1384 indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for consolidation below 1.0949 temporary top. Another rise is expected as long as 1.0777 support holds. But still, choppy rebound from 1.0339 is seen as a correction. Hence we’d look for topping again on next rise. Meanwhile, on the downside, break of 1.0777 will turn turn bias to the downside for 1.0569 support first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. However, considering bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD, break of 1.1298 will indicate term reversal. This would also be supported by sustained trading above 55 week EMA.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlooks is a bit mixed for now as there are conflicting signals. We’ll turn neutral first. On the downside, decisive break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186 will resume the whole down trend from 1.2555. Next target will be 1.0339 low. Nevertheless, break of 1.1569 resistance should confirm medium term bottoming. Stronger rebound should be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1176 at 1.1703. In that case, the structure of the rise from 1.1176 and reaction to 1.1703 fibonacci level will be watched for making an assessment on whether medium term trend has reversed, or rebound form 1.1176 is merely a correction.

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.2088 extends lower today. Break of 4 hour 55 EMA argues that it’s rejected by 1.2091 key near term resistance. And, such decline could be the third leg of consolidation pattern from 1.2091. Intraday bias is turned to the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.1553 to 1.2088 at 1.1884. Break of 1.1884 will target 61.8% retracement at 1.1757 and below. On the upside, firm break of 1.2091 is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, we’d expect more corrective trading in near term.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. That is also close to 61.8% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.2494.
