EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1953; (P) 1.2018 (R1) 1.2056; More….

EUR/USD’s fall is still in progress and is pressing 161.8% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1991. Intraday bias remains on the downside and firm break of 1.1991 will target 200% projection at 1.1891 next. On the upside, above 1.2054 minor resistance will indicate temporary bottoming and turn bias neutral for consolidations. But upside of recovery should be limited well below 1.2214 support turned resistance to bring another decline.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. We’ll look at the structure and momentum of such decline before decision if it’s an impulsive or corrective move.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD fell further to 1.0634 last week but recovered since then. As a temporary top was then formed at 1.0778, initial bias is turned neutral this week first. On the upside, above 1.0778 will resume the rebound from 1.0634 short term bottom to 55 D EMA (now at 1.0829). On the downside, though, break of 1.0634 will resume the fall from 1.1094 to 1.0515 cluster support, 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1094 at 1.0498.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0515 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) would still extend higher. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

In the long term picture, focus is now on 55 M EMA (now at 1.1134). Rejection by this EMA will revive long term bearishness. However, sustained break above here will be affirm the case of long term bullish reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1203; (P) 1.1271; (R1) 1.1330; More….

EUR/USD’s decline form 1.1422 short term top is still in progress. Intraday bias remains on the downside for 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.1422 at 1.1121. Sustained break there will argue that whole rebound from 1.0635 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.0936. On the upside, though, break of 1.1230 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1422 instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD rebounded further to 1.1668 last week and turned sideway since then. As a temporary top was formed, initial bias remains neutral this week first. Further rally is expected as long as 1.1571 support holds. Break of 1.1668 will target 55 day EMA (now at 1.1702). Sustained break there will be a sign that larger correction from 1.2348 has completed. Stronger rally would be seen to 1.1908 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, though, break of 1.1571 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1523 support instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.2348 should at least be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low). As long as 1.1908 resistance holds, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289. Nevertheless break of 1.1908 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.2348 high.

In the long term picture, EUR/USD has possibly failed 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516) already. Long term outlook will remain neutral as sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low) is extending with another medium term fall. For now, we’d hold back from assessing the chance of downside breakout, and monitor the momentum of the decline from 1.2348 first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0798; (P) 1.0862; (R1) 1.0898; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside for 1.0727 support. Break will target 1.0635 low. On the upside, above 1.0895 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. After all, corrective pattern from 1.0635 low is still in progress and could extend. But in case of rebound, upside should be by 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0757; (P) 1.0790; (R1) 1.0827; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the upside at this point. Rebound from 1.0634 is still in progress. Sustained trading above 55 EMA (now at 1.0810) will pave the way back to retest 1.1094 high. Nevertheless, break of 1.0732 minor support should resume the fall from 1.1094 through 1.0634 support.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0823; (P) 1.0870; (R1) 1.0908; More

EUR/USD recovers today but stays inside range below 1.0972. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. With 1.0787 support intact, further rally is expected. On the upside, above 1.0972 will resume the rally from 1.0515 to retest 01.1032 high. Firm break there will resume larger up trend from 0.9534. However, break of 1.0787 will turn bias back to the downside for 1.0711 support instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is in progress with 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0460 intact. The strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.0625) was also a medium term bullish sign. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. Sustained break there will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1325; (P) 1.1373; (R1) 1.1404; More…..

EUR/USD is staying in range of 1.1270/1405, and intraday bias remains neutral. On the upside, break of 1.1485 resistance will revive the case of near term reversal. Bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1621 resistance first. Break will target 1.1814 key resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1270 will, instead, revive the bearish case that down trend from 1.2555 is still in progress. Bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.1186 key fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2345; (P) 1.2371 (R1) 1.2401; More….

Intraday bias in EUR?USD remains neutral. On the upside, above 1.2413 will extend the rebound from 1.2214 to 1.2475 resistance. Break will target 1.2516/2555 key resistance zone. On the downside, however, break of 1.2214 will revive the case of trend reversal and turn outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862 in medium term.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0836; (P) 1.0881; (R1) 1.0963; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned to the upside with break of 1.0895 minor resistance. Further rise would be seen to 1.1019 and above as corrective pattern from 1.0635 extends with another up leg. But still, upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167. On the downside, break of 1.0774 should turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0635 low.

EUR/USD’s down trend continued last week and hit as low as 1.1432. Initial bias remains on the downside this week for 100% projection 1.1908 to 1.1523 from 1.1691 at 1.1306, which is close to long term fibonacci level at 1.1289. We’d pay attention to bottoming signal there. On the upside, above 1.1512 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But overall near term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.1691 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 could pave the way back to 1.0635.

In the long term picture, EUR/USD has possibly failed 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516) again.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0788; (P) 1.0843; (R1) 1.0873; More

EUR/USD drops mildly today but stays in familiar range. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Price actions from 1.0635 are seen as a corrective pattern. On the downside, break of 1.0727 support will raise the chance that the correction is completed. Intraday bias will be turned to the downside for retesting 1.0635 low. On the upside, above 1.0895 will turn bias to the upside for 1.1019 resistance to extend the pattern. But in that case, upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2229; (P) 1.2251; (R1) 1.2275; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. Some consolidations could be seen below 1.2272 temporary top, but further rise should be seen as long as 1.2058 support holds. On the upside, break of 1.2272 will resume larger rally to 61.8% projection of 1.0635 to 1.2011 from 1.1602 at 1.2452 next..

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1598; (P) 1.1645 (R1) 1.1730; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at hit point. Further recovery could be seen. But upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption. Decline from 1.2555 is still in progress. Firm break of 1.1507 will send EUR/USD through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1274 extended lower last week and touched 1.0609/34 cluster support zone. Initial bias is turned neutral this week first. Strong rebound from current level, followed by break of 1.0767 resistance, should confirm short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 1.0944 resistance. However, sustained break of 1.0609/34 support zone will carry larger bearish implication, and target 1.0515 support next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Strong support could be seen from 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609) to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. However, sustained break of 1.0609/0634 will raise the chance of bearish trend reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 1.0199.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign of trend reversal yet. That is, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might still be in progress. Rejection by 55 M EMA (now at 1.1126) will retain long term bearishness, for another fall through 0.9534 at a later stage.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0220; (P) 1.0247; (R1) 1.0289; More

EUR/USD lost momentum after very brief breach of 1.0227 resistance. But further rise will remain in favor as long as 1.0095 support holds. Rebound from 0.9951 will target 1.0348 support turned resistance. Break there will target channel resistance at 1.0452. On the downside, break of 1.0095 minor support will turn bias back to the downside, and bring retest of 0.9951 low instead.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2332; (P) 1.2372 (R1) 1.2410; More….

EUR/USD is drawing support from 4 hour 55 EMA, but it’s staying below 1.2413 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral first.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1343; (P) 1.1388; (R1) 1.1420; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside with 1.1432 minor resistance intact. Current fall from 1.1814 should extend to retest 1.1300 low. Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.2555. On the upside, above 1.1432 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will remain cautiously bearish as long as 1.1621 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1387; (P) 1.1417 (R1) 1.1467; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside as recovery from 1.1300 short term bottom is in progress for 1.1509 support turned resistance. However, we’d expect upside to be limited below 1.1745 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.1300 support is now needed to confirm down trend resumption. Otherwise, near term outlook is neutral for more consolidation first.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.2555 medium term is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. Note again that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Sustained break of 1.1186 could pave the way back to retest 1.0339 low. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 holds, even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1453; (P) 1.1467; (R1) 1.1484; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral but with 1.1422 minor support intact, further rise is expected. Rebound from 1.1215 is seen as correcting whole down trend from 1.2555. On the upside, above 1.1569 will extend the rebound through 1.1621 resistance to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1215 at 1.1727 next. On the downside, however, break of 1.1422 support will bring retest of 1.1214 low instead.
