EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1710; (P) 1.1736 (R1) 1.1784; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside as the pull back from 1.1908 is still in progress. At this point, we’d expect strong support from 38.2% retracement of 1.1119 to 1.1908 at 1.1606 to bring rebound. But break of 1.1908 is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, more consolidation would be seen in near term. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.1606 would bring deeper pull back to 61.8% retracement at 1.1420.

In the bigger picture, an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Sustained break of 55 month EMA (now at 1.1760) will pave the way to key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. While rise from 1.0339 is strong, there is no confirmation that it’s developing into a long term up trend yet. Hence, we’ll be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside. But for now, medium term outlook will remain bullish as long as 1.1295 support holds, in case of pull back.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment as consolidation from 1.1267 continues. Overall, we remain cautious on strong resistance from 1.1245/98 (138.2% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0569 at 1.1245) to limit upside and bring reversal. But another rise is still mildly in favor as long as 1.1020 resistance turned support holds. Decisive break of 1.1298 will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1020 will indicate rejection from 1.1245/98 and turn bias to the downside for 1.0838 support.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0888). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

EUR/USD is extending consolidation below 1.0844 temporary top, and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Further rally is in favor as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0786) holds. On the upside, above 1.0844 will resume the rebound from 1.0665 to retest 1.0915 resistance. Firm break there will target 100% projection of 1.0601 to 1.0915 from 1.0665 at 1.0919 next. However, sustained break of 55 4H EMA will bring deeper fall back to 1.0665 support.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern that’s still in progress. Break of 1.0601 will target 1.0447 support and possibly below. On the upside, firm break of 1.0915 resistance will start another rising leg back to 1.1138 resistance instead.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1411; (P) 1.1440; (R1) 1.1476; More….

EUR/USD is losing some upside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias is turned neutral first with focus on 1.1496 key resistance. On the upside, sustained break of 1.1496 will carry larger bullish implications and target 61.8% projection of 1.0774 to 1.1422 from 1.1168 at 1.1568 next. On the downside, break of 1.1370 minor support will suggest rejection by 1.1496. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.1168 support. Decisive break there will indicate near term bearish reversal.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1795; (P) 1.1823; (R1) 1.1871; More

Immediate focus is now on 1.1880 resistance in EUR/USD. Firm break there will firstly indicate short term bottoming at 1.1751, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1974 resistance first. Sustained break there will argue that whole corrective pattern from 1.2348 has completed, and bring stronger rise back to 1.2265/2348 resistance zone. On the downside, break of 1.1751 will resume the fall from 1.2265, as the third leg of correction from 1.2348, to 1.1703 support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0970; (P) 1.1011; (R1) 1.1072; More

EUIR/USD rises to as high as 1.1164 so far. Strong break of 61.8% retracement of 1.1239 to 1.0777 at 1.1063 raises the chance of larger bullish reversal. Intraday bias now remains on the upside for 1.1239 resistance. Sustained break there will turn outlook bullish. On the downside, break of 1.1038 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is still in favor to extend through 1.0777 low. However, sustained break of 1.1239 will also have 55 week EMA (1.1154) decisive taken out. That should confirm medium term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise could then be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0777 at 1.1456 next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1714; (P) 1.1733; (R1) 1.1761; More..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. We’d continue to look for strong support from 1.1602/1703 support zone to bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.1768 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1907 resistance first. However, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that it’s already reversing the trend from 1.1603, and target 61.8% retracement of 1.1603 to 1.2348 at 1.1289.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2344; (P) 1.2369 (R1) 1.2393; More….

EUR/USD lost momentum after hitting 1.2396, as seen in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. As long as 1.2302 minor support holds, further rise is in favor. Above 1.2396 will target 1.2475 first. Break will target key resistance level at 1.2555 high. However, as EUR/USD is still bounded in range trading pattern from 1.2555, break of 1.2302 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.2214 instead.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862 in medium term.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1740; (P) 1.1799 (R1) 1.1835; More

Euro drops to as low as 1.1732 so far today but stays above 1.1729 support. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, break of 1.1669 will resume the corrective fall from 1.2091 to 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510. We’d expect strong support from there to complete the correction. On the upside, break of 1.1879 will revive the case that pull back from 1.2091 has already completed at 1.1669. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is not finished yet. It’s expected to continue after pull back from 1.2091 completes. And, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall from 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1624; (P) 1.1700 (R1) 1.1751; More

With 1.1612 minor support intact, intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside. Current medium term rally is expected to target 1.2 handle next. Nonetheless, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1612 will indicate short term topping and bring lengthier consolidation first.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. On the downside, firm break of 1.1698 minor support would confirm short term topping at 1.1908, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.1422 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.1908 at 1.1422). But we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. However, decisive break there will bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.1121.

In the bigger picture, the strong break of 1.1496 resistance now suggests that whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise from 1.0635 should be the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0717; (P) 1.0764 (R1) 1.0845; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside for the moment. The choppy rise from 1.0339 is still in progress and could target 1.0872 resistance. At this point, we’re still viewing choppy rise from 1.0339 as a corrective move. Thus, upside should be limited by 1.0872 resistance and bring reversal. On the downside, break of 1.0619 will indicate that such rise is completed and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.0339 low.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1734; (P) 1.1758; (R1) 1.1783; More…..

EUR/USD’s rebound form 1.1612 resumes by taking out 1.1807 temporary top. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.2011 high. Break there will resume larger rally from 1.0635. On the downside, break of 1.1732 minor support is needed to indicate completion of the rebound. Otherwise, outlook will stays mildly bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s rise from 0.9534 resumed last week and hit as high as 1.0544. Further rally is expected as long as 1.0289 support holds. Next target is 1.0609 fibonacci level. However, firm break of 1.0289 support will confirm short term topping and bring deeper decline back to 1.0092 resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom was in place at 0.9534, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Even as a corrective rise, rally from 0.9534 should target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.0609. Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0566) will raise the chance of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1273. However, rejection by 1.0609 will retain medium term bearishness for down trend resumption at a later stage.

In the long term picture, as long as 1.0635 support turned resistance holds (2020 low), long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008) could still extend through 0.9534 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.0635 will confirm bottoming and at least turn long term outlook neutral.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2078; (P) 1.2105 (R1) 1.2156; More….

EUR/USD is staying above 1.2054 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral. More consolidation could be seen. But in case of another rise, upside should be limited by 1.2214 support turned resistance to bring another decline. Below 1.2054 will target 161.8% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1991 first. Break will target 200% projection at 1.1891.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. We’ll look at the structure and momentum of such decline before decision if it’s an impulsive or corrective move.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1714; (P) 1.1736 (R1) 1.1759; More….

EUR/USD recovers after drawing support from 4 hour 55 EMA again. But it’s staying below 1.1860 and intraday bias stays neutral first. Near term outlook remains cautiously bullish with 1.1677 support intact. As noted before, corrective fall from 1.2091 has completed at 1.1553 already, ahead of 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510. Above 1.1860 will turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high. However, break of 1.1677 will dampen this bullish view and turn focus back to 1.1553 low instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be cautious on 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1373) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

With 1.1109 support intact, further rise is still expected in EUR/USD. Decisive break of 1.1298 key resistance will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. Nonetheless, we’d stay cautious on rejection from 1.1298. Break of 1.1109 will indicate short term topping and turn bias back to the downside.

EUR/USD’s decline accelerates further to as low as 1.0888 and intraday bias remains on the downside. Current down trend should target 61.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1120 from 1.1494 at 1.0786 next. On the upside, above 1.1038 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1494 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extend range trading first.

A temporary top is formed at 1.0481 with current retreat. Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral for some consolidations. Downside should be contained by 1.0092 resistance turned support to bring another rally. Break of 1.0481 will resume the rise from 0.9534 and target 1.0609 fibonacci level.

This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0092 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0830; (P) 1.0848; (R1) 1.0863; More

EUR/USD dips notably today but stays above 1.0761 minor support. Intraday bias stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 1.0887 and sustained trading above 55 D EMA (now at 1.0832) will affirm the case that fall from 1.1138 has completed. Stronger rally would then be seen back to 1.1138. However, break of 1.0761 will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0694 support.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.
