EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1253; (P) 1.1299; (R1) 1.1356; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment and outlook is unchanged. On the upside, break of 1.1348 will argue that consolidation from 1.1422 has possible completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside, to resume the rally from 1.0635 through 1.1422 to 1.1496 key resistance. On the downside, break of 1.1168 will extend the correction from 1.1422 and target 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.1422 at 1.1121.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0823; (P) 1.0860; (R1) 1.0889; More

EUR/USD retreated back to established range and intraday bias remains neutral. Some more consolidation could be seen but downside of retreat should be contained by 1.0755 resistance turned support to bring another rally. On the upside, above 1.0894 will resume the rebound from 1.0447 to 61.8% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0958 next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. However, break of 1.0447 will resume the fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9543 to 1.1274 at 1.0199.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1682; (P) 1.1711 (R1) 1.1758; More…..

EUR/USD dips mildly early US session but stays inside range above 1.1507/9. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Stronger recovery cannot be ruled out as the consolidation from 1.1509 extends. But in that case, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside , firm break of 1.1507 will resume larger down trend through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2229; (P) 1.2286; (R1) 1.2328; More

EUR/USD is staying in consolidation from 1.2348 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise is still expected with 1.2214 support intact. On the upside, break of 1.2348 will resume larger up trend for 61.8% projection of 1.0635 to 1.2011 from 1.1602 at 1.2452 next. Though, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.2214 will suggest short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside, for pull back to 1.2058 support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0710; (P) 1.0742 (R1) 1.0765; More…..

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. Rebound from 1.0339 could extend higher. But such rise is seen as a corrective move and should be limited by 1.0872 resistance. On the downside, below 1.0588 minor support will argue that it’s completed and turn bias back to the downside for 1.0339 support.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1821; (P) 1.1879 (R1) 1.1922; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside at this point. Current fall is in progress to 261.8% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1730. As it will then be close to 1.1708 medium term fibonacci level, some support could be seen around 1.1708/30 to bring rebound. Though, break of 1.1938 minor resistance is needed to be the first sign of short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. With current downside acceleration, there is prospect of hitting 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 before completing the decline. But still, we’ll need to look at the structure before deciding if it’s a corrective or impulsive move.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0703; (P) 1.0726; (R1) 1.0749; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside for the moment. Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0609/34 cluster support next. On the upside, above 1.0808 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.0944 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to bring rebound. Yet, medium term outlook will be neutral for now, as long as 1.1274 resistance holds. However, sustained break of 1.0609/34 will raise the chance of bearish trend reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 1.0199.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD stayed in range of 1.1669/1879 last week and initial bias is neutral this week first. On the upside, break of 1.1879 will affirm the case that pull back from 1.2091 has already completed at 1.1669. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high. On the downside, break of 1.1669 will resume the fall from 1.2091 to 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510. We’d expect strong support from there to complete the correction.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is not finished yet. It’s expected to continue after pull back from 1.2091 completes. And, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall from 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside.

In the long term picture, 1.0339 is now seen as an important bottom as the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) could have completed. It’s still early to decide whether price action form 1.0339 is developing into a corrective or impulsive move. But in either case, further rally would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. As long as 1.1832 resistance holds, fall from 1.2091 is expected to extend lower. Such decline is correcting whole rise from 1.0569. Deeper fall should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510, where we’re expecting support to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 1.1832 minor resistance will suggest that the corrective fall is completed and turn bias back to the upside.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1118; (P) 1.1146; (R1) 1.1163; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. Further rise is mildly in favor with 1.1066 support intact. On the upside, break of 1.1239 will resume such rally from 1.0879 and target 100% projection of 1.0879 to 1.1179 from 1.0981 at 1.1281 next. However, firm break of 1.1066 will argue that whole rise from 1.0879 has completed. In this case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.0981 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move at this point. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2075; (P) 1.2105; (R1) 1.2154; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside at this point. Current rise from 1.1703 should target a test on 1.2242/2348 resistance zone. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend from 1.0635. However, break of 1.2055 support, will turn bias to the downside for deeper pull back.

However, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that whole rise from 1.10635 has completed. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1125; (P) 1.1141; (R1) 1.1154; More

After dipping to 1.1101, EUR/USD drew support from 1.1107 low and recovered. With break of 1.1158 minor resistance, intraday bias is turned neutral first. Stronger recovery could be seen. But for now, break of 1.1282 resistance is needed to confirm completion of fall from 1.1412. Otherwise, another decline will remain mildly in favor. Though, firm break of 1.1282 will bring stronger rise to 1.1412 resistance.

In the bigger picture, on the one hand, 1.1107 is seen as a medium term bottom on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. On the other hand, rejection by 55 week EMA retains medium term bearishness. Outlook stays neutral for now. On the downside, break of 1.1107 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Meanwhile, break of 1.1412 will resume the rebound to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1107 at 1.1660.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0555; (P) 1.0587; (R1) 1.0642; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. The decline from 1.1032 might still extend lower, but strong support could be seen around 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0463 to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. Break of 1.0668 support turned resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0803 resistance and above. However, sustained break of 1.0463 will carry larger bearish implications.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0482 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) should continue to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. However, sustained break of 1.0482 will bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0106, even as a corrective pull back.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0797; (P) 1.0850 (R1) 1.0880; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral with focus on 1.0805 low. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend to 61.8% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0758, and then 100% projection at 1.0495. On the upside, however, break of 1.0937 minor resistances will extend the consolidation pattern from 1.0805 with another rising leg.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1494 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extending term range trading first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1019; (P) 1.1044; (R1) 1.1071; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.0926 is still in progress. Further rise cannot be ruled out. But upside should be limited below 1.1164 resistance to bring down trend resumption. Break of 1.0926 will resume lager down trend from 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.1164 will turn near term outlook bullish for 1.1412 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0950; (P) 1.0980; (R1) 1.1024; More

EUR/USD’s rally resumed by breaking through 1.0964 and intraday bias is back on the upside. Current rise from 1.0447 should now target 1.1274 resistance next. But strong resistance should be seen there to limit upside. On the downside, below 1.0933 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations. But further rally will remain in favor as long as 1.0851 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0949; (P) 1.0992; (R1) 1.1021; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment as sideway consolidation continues. Further rally is expected as long as 1.0908 support holds. Break of 1.1094 will resume larger up trend to 1.1273 fibonacci level. Break there will target 61.8% projection of 0.9534 to 1.1032 from 1.0515 at 1.1441 However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4H MACD, break of 1.0908 support will indicate short term topping and turn bias back to the downside.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. Sustained break there will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high). This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0515 support holds, even in case of deeper pull back.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2173; (P) 1.2207 (R1) 1.2227; More….

As noted before, the break of 1.2205 key support is taken as a tentative sign of trend reversal, after being rejected by 1.2516 key fibonacci level. Intraday bias remains on the downside for deeper fall. Sustained trading below 1.2205 will confirm and target 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708. On the upside, above 1.2354 minor resistance will dampen this bearish case and bring retest of 1.2555 high instead.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.5553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD 4 Hours Chart

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1312; (P) 1.1334 (R1) 1.1367; More…..

EUR/USD recovers notably after hitting 1.1300. But still as long as 1.1430 minor resistance holds, further decline is expected, to 61.8% projection of 1.2413 to 1.1509 from 1.1745 at 1.1186. Note that it’s a cluster level with 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. Hence, we’ll tentatively look for short term bottoming around 1.1186. Meanwhile, considering mildly bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1430 will indicate short term bottoming. In that case, lengthier consolidation would be seen first before down trend resumption.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 1.2555 medium term is in progress for 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. Note again that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Sustained break of 1.1186 could pave the way back to retest 1.0339 low. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.1851 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1431; (P) 1.1446; (R1) 1.1460; More

EUR/USD’s decline is still in progress despite some loss of downside momentum. Intraday bias stays on the downside. Next target is 100% projection 1.1908 to 1.1523 from 1.1691 at 1.1306, which is close to long term fibonacci level at 1.1289. We’d pay attention to bottoming signal there. On the upside, above 1.1512 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But overall near term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.1691 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 could pave the way back to 1.0635.
