EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2328; (P) 1.2397 (R1) 1.2518; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside for 1.2537 high. As noted before, pull back from there should be completed at 1.2205 already. Decisive break of 1.2537 will resume larger up trend and target 100% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.3075. In any case, for now, as long as 1.2205 support holds, outlook will remain bullish.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1277; (P) 1.1301; (R1) 1.1322; More…..

EUR/USD’s break of 1.1250 minor support suggests that corrective recovery from 1.1183 has completed at 1.1324 already. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for 1.1176 key support. Decisive break there will resume whole down trend form 1.2555. On the upside, though, break of 1.1324 will turn bias back to the upside to extend the recovery.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD has been losing downside momentum around 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. But for now, there is no clear sign of medium term reversal yet. Downside from 1.2555 is expected to resume sooner or later as long as 1.1569 structural resistance holds. Decisive break of 1.1186. could pave the way back to 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1777; (P) 1.1809; (R1) 1.1848; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading continues above 1.1751. Another fall is still mildly in favor with 1.1880 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 1.1751 will resume the fall from 1.2265, as the third leg of correction from 1.2348, to 1.1703 support. However, on the upside, break of 1.1880 resistance will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside, for stronger rebound to 1.1974 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0572; (P) 1.0615 (R1) 1.0639; More…..

With 1.0713 minor resistance intact, intraday bias in EUR/USD stays mildly on the downside. Corrective rise from 1.0339 should have completed at 1.0828 already. Decline from there should target a test on 1.0339 low first. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of medium term down trend. On the upside, however, above 1.0713 minor resistance will delay the bearish case and turn bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1667; (P) 1.1685; (R1) 1.1702; More

Outlook in EUR/USD remains unchanged and intraday bias stays mildly on the downside for 1.1663 low. Firm break there will resume the fall from 1.2265, and the pattern from 1.2348, to 1.1602 key support next. On the upside, however, above 1.1749 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1908 again.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally remains in favors long as 1.1602 support holds, to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 and below.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2054; (P) 1.2075; (R1) 1.2113; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. Risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.2168 resistance holds. Break of 1.1951 will extend the correction from 1.2348 to 100% projection of 1.2348 to 1.1951 from 1.2168 at 1.1771. However, break of 1.2168 will turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.2348 high.

We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1740; (P) 1.1799 (R1) 1.1835; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.1879 will affirm the case that pull back from 1.2091 has already completed at 1.1669. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high. On the downside, break of 1.1669 will resume the fall from 1.2091 to 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510. We’d expect strong support from there to complete the correction.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is not finished yet. It’s expected to continue after pull back from 1.2091 completes. And, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall from 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside.

EUR/USD’s down trend continues today and intraday bias stays on the downside for 1.0090 long term projection level. Break there will target 100% projection of 1.1184 to 1.0348 from 1.0773 at 0.9937, which is close to parity. On the upside, above 1.0276 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first. But recovery should be limited below 1.0614 resistance to bring another fall.

In the bigger picture, the break of 1.0339 long term support (2017 low) indicates resumption of whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 1.0090. Sustained break there will pave the way to 100% projection at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0786 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1483; (P) 1.1515; (R1) 1.1550; More…..

EUR/USD edges higher to 1.1598 in early US session as rebound from 1.1431 extends. Intraday bias stays mildly on the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1617) and possibly above. But we’d expect upside to be limited by 1.1779/1814 resistance zone to bring down trend resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1514 minor support will turn bias back to the downside. Further break of 1.1431 will bring retest of 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1411; (P) 1.1438; (R1) 1.1482; More…..

EUR/USD starts to lose upside momentum ahead of 1.1499 resistance, as seen in 4 hour MACD. Initial bias remains neutral and outlook stays bearish with 1.1499 intact. On the downside break of 1.1363 minor support will turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1215 low first. Break will resume medium term down trend. However, on the upside, firm break of 1.1499 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 1.1814 resistance again.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top has just resumed and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 resistance is now needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0877; (P) 1.0900; (R1) 1.0916; More….

EUR/USD’s rally resumed after brief consolidations and intraday bias is back on the upside. Break of 1.0915 resistance should now extend the rise from 1.0601 to 100% projection of 1.0601 to 1.0915 from 1.0665 at 1.0979. On the downside, below 1.0871 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral gain first.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern, possibly a triangle, that’s still be in progress. Break of 1.1138 resistance will be the first signal that rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.1274 (2023 high). This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0601 support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0543; (P) 1.0576 (R1) 1.0631; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for consolidation above 1.0520 temporary low. As long as 1.0713 minor resistance holds, deeper decline is still expected. We’re holding on to the view that fall from 1.0828 is resuming the larger down trend. Below 1.0520 will target a test on 1.0339 low. Decisive break there will confirm our bearish view and target parity. However, above 1.0713 will dampen out view and turn focus back to 1.0828 instead.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1160; (P) 1.1202; (R1) 1.1285; More

Focus remains on 1.1239 key resistance in EUR/USD. Decisive break there should confirm medium term bottoming at 1.0777. Near term outlook will be turned bullish for 1.1456 fibonacci level next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1095 minor support will suggest rejection by 1.1239, and retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.0777 low instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is still in favor to extend through 1.0777 low. However, sustained break of 1.1239 will also have 55 week EMA (1.1154) decisive taken out. That should confirm medium term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. The strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.0625) was also a medium term bullish sign. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. Sustained break there will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside. Current rebound from 1.1183 could extend to 1.1448 resistance and above. But in that case, we’d expect strong resistance between 1.1448/1569 to limit upside. On the downside, below 1.1250 minor support will turn bias to the downside. Decisive break of 1.1176 will resume the down trend from 1.2555.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD has been losing downside momentum around 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside as fall from 1.2088 is in progress. Such decline could be the the third leg of consolidation pattern from 1.2091. But firm break of 1.2091 is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, we’d expect more corrective trading in near term.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal.
