EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0695; (P) 1.0714; (R1) 1.0740; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, above 1.0752 will resume the rebound to 55 D EMA (now at 1.0780). On the downside, break of 1.0673 minor support will turn intraday bias to the downside for retesting 1.0601 low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Current fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg. While deeper decline is would be seen to 1.0447 and possibly below, strong support should emerge from 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 to complete the correction.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2277; (P) 1.2316 (R1) 1.2355; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as it’s still bounded in range of 1.2205/2555. On the upside, break of 1.2555 will revive the bullish case of up trend resumption and target 100% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.3075. However, break of 1.2205 will confirm rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci level and trend reversal.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1724; (P) 1.1758 (R1) 1.1783; More…..

EUR/USD drops sharply today but stays above 1.1679 minor support so far. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, break of 1.1679 will indicate that corrective rise from 1.1507 has completed. Intraday bias should then be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1507. Firm break there will resume larger fall from 1.2555. Above 1.790 will extend the corrective rice. But upside be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring reversal.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dipped to 1.1612 last week but recovered well ahead of 1.1507 low. The lack of downside momentum suggests that consolidation from 1.1507 is extending. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Above 1.1695 will bring another recovery, possibly through 1.1790. But upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1612 will bring retest of 1.1507 low first. Decisive break there will resume larger fall from 1.2555. In that case, EUR/USD should drop through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Focus will now turn to 1.1553 support. Sustained break there would raise the chance of retesting 1.0339 low. It’s early to tell, but the chance of long term bullish reversal is fading.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1328; (P) 1.1358; (R1) 1.1375; More….

EUR/USD is holding above 1.1335 temporary low and intraday bias stays neutral first. Further decline is expected as long as 1.1431 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, below 1.1335 will target 1.1300 low first. Decisive break will resume whole down trend from 1.2555 and target 1.1186 fibonacci level next. On the upside, however, break of 1.1431 resistance will indicate short term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1621 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0892; (P) 1.0919; (R1) 1.0945; More

EUR/USD is extending the consolidation from 1.0969 temporary top and intraday bias remains neutral. With 1.0803 support intact, further rally is expected. On the upside, above 1.0969 will resume the rise from 1.0634 to retest 1.1094 high. Decisive break there will confirm resumption of whole up trend from 0.9534. However, firm break of 1.0803 will extend the corrective pattern from 1.1094 with another falling leg, targeting 1.0634 and below.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0515 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) would still extend higher. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1750; (P) 1.1780 (R1) 1.1799; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. Focus stays on 1.1712 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 1.1553 to 1.1960 at 1.1708). Decisive break there will indicate that rebound from 1.1553 has completed at 1.1960. In that case, deeper fall would be seen to 1.1553 and possibly below to extend the decline from 1.2091. Meanwhile, with 1.1712 support intact, break of 1.1814 minor resistance will retain near term bullishness. And in that case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1960. Break will target 1.2091 high.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1423) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0811; (P) 1.0830; (R1) 1.0865; More

EUR/USD is still bounded in range below 1.0929 and intraday bias remains neutral. Further rally is in favor after receiving support from 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.1774). Break of 1.0929 will extend the rise from 1.0515 to retest 1.1032 high. Firm break there will resume larger up trend from 0.9534 to 1.1273 fibonacci level next. However, break of 1.0711 will turn bias to the downside to extend the corrective pattern from 1.1032 with another decline.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is in progress with 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0460 intact. The strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.0623) was also a medium term bullish sign. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. Sustained break there will solidity the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1830; (P) 1.1881 (R1) 1.1953; More….

EUR/USD rebounded strongly after drawing support from 4 hour 55 EMA. But it’s staying below 1.1960. Intraday bias remains neutral first. With 1.1712 support intact, rise from 1.1553 is expected to resume later. Break of 1.1960 will turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high first. Break there will resume medium term up trend from 1.0339 and target 61.8% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.2494, which is close to 1.2516 long term fibonacci level. We’d expect strong resistance from there to bring reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1712 will indicate completion of the rise from 1.1553 and turn near term outlook bearish.

Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1393) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2344; (P) 1.2369 (R1) 1.2393; More….

Focus is back on 1.2302 minor support in EUR/USD. Break will turn bias to the downside for 1.2214 support first. And firm break there will revive the case of rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci level and turn outlook bearish. On the upside, above 1.2396 will extend the rise from 1.2214 to 1.2475 and then 1.2555.

Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862 in medium term.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0663; (P) 1.0678; (R1) 1.0700; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, decisive break of 1.0764 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0763) will extend the rise from 1.0447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.0958 next. However, sustained break of 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0664) will argue that the rebound has completed, and turn bias back to the downside for 1.0447/0515 support zone instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. However, Break of 1.0447 will resume the fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9543 to 1.1274 at 1.0199.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1212; (P) 1.1247 (R1) 1.1291; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral with focus on 1.1298 key resistance level. Decisive break of 1.1298 will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. However, break of 1.1109 will indicate short term topping and rejection from 1.1298. In that case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.0838 support first.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0888). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

Outlook in EUR/USD is unchanged and intraday bias stays neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.1850 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1907/1908 key structural resistance zone. Sustained break there will complete a head and shoulder bottom pattern (ls: 1.1751; h: 1.1663; rs: 1.1769). That would also revive the case that consolidation pattern from 1.2348 has completed. Such development will turn near term outlook bullish for retesting 1.2348 high. On the downside, below 1.1769 will resume the fall from 1.1908 to retest 1.1663 low.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally remains in favors long as 1.1602 support holds, to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 and below.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0864; (P) 1.0894; (R1) 1.0951; More

EUR/USD’s strong rebound and break of 1.0905 resistance suggests that pull back from 1.0980 has completed at 1.0834, after drawing support from 55 D EMA. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.0980 first. Firm break there will resume whole rise from 1.0694. On the downside, sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0861) will argue that rebound from 1.0694 has completed and bring retest of this low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1128; (P) 1.1169; (R1) 1.1192; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for 1.1107 low first. At this point, we’re not expecting a break there yet. Thus, focus will be on bottoming signals around 1.1107. On the upside, break of 1.1193 support turned resistance will turn intraday bias remains neutral first. But break of 1.1282 resistance is needed to signal completion of fall from 1.1412. Otherwise, further decline is in favor even in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, on the one hand, 1.1107 is seen as a medium term bottom on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. On the other hand, rejection by 55 week EMA retains medium term bearishness. Outlook stays neutral for now. On the downside, break of 1.1107 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Meanwhile, break of 1.1412 will resume the rebound to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1107 at 1.1660.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0970; (P) 1.1011; (R1) 1.1072; More

EUIR/USD rises to as high as 1.1164 so far. Strong break of 61.8% retracement of 1.1239 to 1.0777 at 1.1063 raises the chance of larger bullish reversal. Intraday bias now remains on the upside for 1.1239 resistance. Sustained break there will turn outlook bullish. On the downside, break of 1.1038 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is still in favor to extend through 1.0777 low. However, sustained break of 1.1239 will also have 55 week EMA (1.1154) decisive taken out. That should confirm medium term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise could then be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0777 at 1.1456 next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2063; (P) 1.2136 (R1) 1.2176; More….

EUR/USD’s decline extends today and reaches as low as 1.2054 so far. Intraday bias remains on the downside for for 161.8% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1991 first. Break will target 200% projection at 1.1891. On the upside, above 1.2130 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidation, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. We’ll look at the structure and momentum of such decline before decision if it’s an impulsive or corrective move.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0561; (P) 1.0668 (R1) 1.0724; More

EUR/USD’s breach of 1.0626 minor support argues that rebound from 1.0348 has completed at 1.0786 already, after multiple rejection by 55 day EMA. Intraday bias is back on the downside for retesting 1.0348 low, and more importantly 1.0339 long term support. On the upside, though, break of 1.0786 will resume the rebound from 1.0348 to 1.1112 fibonacci resistance.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.0339 long term support (2017 low). Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 1.0090. However, firm break of 1.0805 support turned resistance will delay this bearish case. Rise from 1.0348 is at least a correction to the down trend from 1.2348. Stronger rebound would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.0348 at 1.1112.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0926; (P) 1.0965; (R1) 1.0988; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 1.0911 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0832 support. Sustained trading below there will target 1.0609/34 cluster support. However, firm break of 1.1064 minor resistance will argue that pull back from 1.1274 has completed, and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0966) will bring deeper correction to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1061; (P) 1.1116 (R1) 1.1157; More….

EUR/USD’s rally resumed after brief consolidation and hits as high as 1.1188 so far. Intraday bias is back on the upside. Current rise from 1.0569 is seen as part of the rebound from 1.0339 and would target 138.2% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0569 at 1.1245, which is close to 1.1298 key resistance. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance between 1.1245/1298 to limit upside and bring reversal. On the downside, below 1.1075 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But break of 1.0838 support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity. However, considering bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD, break of 1.1298 will indicate long term reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.
