EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0958; (P) 1.1003; (R1) 1.1061; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias stays neutral. Further fall is expected as long as 1.1148 resistance holds. Below 1.0942 will target 1.0832 support next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1148 will argue that the decline has completed and bring retest of 1.1274 high.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0963) will bring deeper correction to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0707; (P) 1.0747 (R1) 1.0790; More…..

EUR/USD is still staying above 1.0619 minor support and intraday bias remains neutral first. As noted before, choppy rise from 1.0339 is seen as a correction. Hence, in case of another rise, upside should be limited by 1.0872 resistance and bring fall resumption eventually. Break of 1.0619 will argue that the corrective rise is completed and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.0339 low.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1229; (P) 1.1256 (R1) 1.1308; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside for 1.1298 resistance. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. Near term outlook will now remain bullish as long as 1.1109 support holds. Nonetheless, we’d stay cautious on rejection from 1.1245/98 (138.2% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0569 at 1.1245) resistance zone. Break of 1.1109 will indicate short term topping and turn bias back to the downside.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0888). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0626; (P) 1.0658; (R1) 1.0675; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias remains neutral. While stronger recovery cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.0723 support turned resistance. On the downside, break of 1.0601 will resume the decline from 1.1138 to 100% projection of 1.1138 to 1.0694 from 1.0980 at 1.0536 next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Current fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg. While deeper decline is would be seen to 1.0447 and possibly below. Strong support should emerge from 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 to complete the correction.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1984; (P) 1.2026; (R1) 1.2059; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and more consolidation could be seen below 1.2079 temporary top. But further rally is expected with 1.1941 minor support intact. As noted before, correction from 1.2348 should have completed with three waves down to 1.1703. Break of 1.2079 will target 1.2442/2348 resistance zone. However, break of 1.1941 will argue that the rebound from 1.1703 has completed, and turn bias back to the downside for this support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. However, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that whole rise from 1.10635 has completed. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1914; (P) 1.1955 (R1) 1.1999; More….

EUR/USD reaches as low as 1.1897 so far as recent decline continues. Intraday bias remains on the downside for 200% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1891. Firm break will target 261.8% projection at 1.1730. Meanwhile, considering diminishing downside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1977 minor resistance will indicate short term bottoming. In that case, intraday bias will be turned to the upside for 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.2064) or above for rebound.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. With current downside acceleration, there is prospect of hitting 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 before completing the decline. But still, we’ll need to look at the structure to before deciding if it’s a corrective or impulsive move.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0497; (P) 1.0558 (R1) 1.0591; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.0339 continues. As long as 1.0652 holds, outlook stays bearish and another decline is expected. Break of 1.0339 will extend the larger down trend to parity next. However, break of 1.0652 will now confirm short term bottoming and turn near term outlook bullish for stronger rebound to 1.0872 resistance first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1371; (P) 1.1433; (R1) 1.1491; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. Further rise is still in favor as long as 1.1265 minor support holds. Sustained break of 1.1482 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.1120 at 1.1589 next. Sustained break there will argue that whole fall from 1.2348 has completed too and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1879. On the down, however, break of 1.1265 support will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 1.1120 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1613) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1646; (P) 1.1673 (R1) 1.1691; More…..

EUR/USD weakens further today but it’s still bounded in the consolidation pattern from 1.1509. Intraday bias stays neutral. In case of another rise as the consolidation extends, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, decisive break of 1.1507 low will resume larger down trend from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2161; (P) 1.2189; (R1) 1.2208; More

EUR/USD is still bounded in range of 1.2103/2265 and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, above 1.2265 will resume the rise from 1.1703 to retest 1.2348 high. On the downside, below 1.2103 will target 1.1985 support. Break there will confirm that consolidation pattern from 1.2348 has started the third leg. Deeper fall would then be seen back to 1.1703 support.

Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1336; (P) 1.1381 (R1) 1.1408; More…..

EUR/USD’s retreat from 1.1444 extends lower but it’s staying above 1.1291 support. Intraday bias remains neutral first. More consolidative trading could be seen. But downside should be contained by 1.1291 support to bring rise resumption. Break of 1.1444 will extend the rally from 1.0339 low to 1.1615 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 1.1298 resistance further affirm medium term reversal. That is an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.1776). Sustained break there will pave the way to 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 next. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.1118 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1984; (P) 1.2017; (R1) 1.2082; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral with focus on 1.2052 support turned resistance. Firm break there will suggest that the correction from 1.2348 has completed, and larger up trend isn’t finished. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.2188 resistance and then 1.2348 high. However, break of 1.1951 will bring deeper correction to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1694.

We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1166; (P) 1.1216; (R1) 1.1244; More…..

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.1111 was held at 1.1264 and dropped sharply. Intraday bias remains neutral first and outlook is unchanged. Price actions from 1.1111 are seen a corrective move. In case of another rise, upside should be limited well below 1.1324 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, below 1.1175 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 1.1111 first. Break there will resume larger down trend from 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.1324 resistance will be an early indication of larger bullish reversal and turn focus to 1.1448 resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has just resumed. Current fall should now target 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.0813. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the downside, break of 1.1448 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0909; (P) 1.0948 (R1) 1.1022; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside for the moment and further rally should be seen. Next target is 100% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0569 at 1.1058. At this point, rise from 1.0339 is still seen as a corrective move. Hence we’d expect strong resistance from 1.1058 projection to limit upside and bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.0874 support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.0569 support first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. However, considering bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD, break of 1.1298 will indicate term reversal. This would also be supported by sustained trading above 55 week EMA.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1290; (P) 1.1341; (R1) 1.1417; More…..

EUR/USD rebounded strongly after hitting 1.1267 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. Focus is now on 1.1472 resistance. Decisive break there will complete a head and shoulder bottom pattern (ls: 1.1302; h: 1.1215; rs: 1.1267). That will indicate near term reversal and bring stronger rise back to 1.1814 resistance. On the downside, below 1.1267 will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1215 low.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 resistance is now needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1543; (P) 1.1571; (R1) 1.1623; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside as rebound from 1.1431 is in progress, for 55 day EMA and above. But still, we’d expect upside to be limited by 1.1779/1814 resistance zone to bring down trend resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1534 minor support will turn bias back to the downside. Further break of 1.1431 will bring retest of 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, corrective pattern from 1.1300 could have completed at 1.1814 after hitting 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Decisive break of 1.1300 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 will delay the bearish case and extend the correction from 1.1300 with another rise before completion.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0864; (P) 1.0894; (R1) 1.0951; More

EUR/USD’s strong rebound and break of 1.0905 resistance suggests that pull back from 1.0980 has completed at 1.0834, after drawing support from 55 D EMA. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 1.0980 first. Firm break there will resume whole rise from 1.0694. On the downside, sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0861) will argue that rebound from 1.0694 has completed and bring retest of this low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0668; (P) 1.0741 (R1) 1.0786; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for 100% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0495. Firm break there will pave the way to 161.8% projection at 1.0069. On the upside, above 1.0756 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0935 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1185 support turned resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1185 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extending term range trading first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0854; (P) 1.0888; (R1) 1.0924; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point, as consolidation from 1.0964 is extending. Further rally is in favor as long as 1.0823 support holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0958 will resume the rise from 1.0447 to retest 1.1274 high. However, firm break of 1.0823 will indicate short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper decline.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1788; (P) 1.1841; (R1) 1.1876; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. Further fall is still in favor as long as 1.1974 resistance holds. Break of 1.1806 will resume the decline from 1.2265, as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.2348, to 1.1703 support. On the upside, break of 1.1974 resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.2265 resistance.

Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.
