EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1485; (P) 1.1563 (R1) 1.1616; More…..

Breach of 1.1639 minor resistance indicates temporary bottoming in EUR/USD at 1.1509. Intraday bias is turned neutral for consolidation. Stronger recovery could be seen to 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.1700) and possibly above. But upside should be limited by 1.1822/1995 resistance zone to bring fall resumption. Below 1.1509 will target 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 first. break will target 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1584; (P) 1.1604 (R1) 1.1644; More…..

EUR/USD dips through 1.1542 temporary low but is held above 1.1509 low. Intraday bias remains neutral first and more consolidative trading cannot be ruled out. But even in case of another recovery, upside should be limited below 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption. Firm break of 1.1509 will resume larger decline from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1843; (P) 1.1861 (R1) 1.1875; More….

EUR/USD’s breach of 1.1901 temporary top suggests that rebound from 1.1717 is resuming. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 1.1960 first. Break there will also resume the rise from 1.1553 and target 1.2091 high. In case case, near term outlook will remains bullish as long as 1.1712 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 1.1553 to 1.1960 at 1.1708) remains intact.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1435) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0877; (P) 1.0900; (R1) 1.0916; More….

EUR/USD’s retreat from 1.0921 extends lower today but stays well above 1.0805 support so far. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Some more consolidations would be seen but further rally is in favor. Firm break of 1.0915/21 will will resume whole rise from 1.0601 to 100% projection of 1.0601 to 1.0915 from 1.0665 at 1.0979. However, break of 1.0805 will turn bias back to the downside for deeper pullback.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern, possibly a triangle, that’s still be in progress. Break of 1.1138 resistance will be the first signal that rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.1274 (2023 high). This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0601 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2208; (P) 1.2246 (R1) 1.2297; More….

EUR/USD edged higher to 1.2322 but quickly retreated. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Near term outlook will remain bullish as long as 1.2088 resistance turned support holds. Current medium term rally could target 1.2494/2516 key resistance zone next. At this point, we’d expect strong resistance from there to limit upside and bring reversal. On the downside, break of 1.2088 will argue that EUR/USD has topped earlier than expected. In that case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.1915 support first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. That is also close to 61.8% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.2494. Break of 1.1553 support will confirm completion of the rise. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1081; (P) 1.1092; (R1) 1.1106; More

Focus remains on 1.1085 support in EUR/USD. Sustained break will complete a head and shoulder top (ls: 1.1199, h: 1.1239, rs: 1.1172). That will also argue that whole corrective rise from 1.0879 has completed. In this case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.0981 support for confirmation. On the upside, above 1.1172 will turn bias to the upside for 1.1239 instead.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move at this point. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1264; (P) 1.1304; (R1) 1.1332; More…..

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1472 is still in progress and intraday bias remains on the downside for 1.1215 support. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend for 1.1186 fibonacci level next. On the upside, above 1.1383 minor resistance will turn intraday bias back to the upside for 1.1499 resistance. Firm break there will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 1.1814 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top has just resumed and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 resistance is now needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2110; (P) 1.2147; (R1) 1.2177; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 1.2222 minor resistance will extend the rebound form 1.2052 to retest 1.2348 high. On the downside, however, firm break of 1.2052 support will extend the correction from 1.2348. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.2348 at 1.1887.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0333; (P) 1.0412 (R1) 1.0484; More…..

Prior breach of 1.0351 support suggests down trend resumption. Intraday bias in EUR/USD is now on the downside. Current down trend should target parity next. Meanwhile, above 1.0489 minor resistance will turn bias neutral again. In that case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0562 resistance holds. However, break of 1.0652 will now confirm short term bottoming and turn near term outlook bullish for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, break of 1.0461 key support indicates that consolidation from there has completed as a triangle at 1.1298. And, the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is resuming. Current downtrend is now expected to target 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0632; (P) 1.0730; (R1) 1.0824; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment as consolidation from 1.0635 is extending. Further rise cannot be ruled out but upside should be limited by 1.0981 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.0635 will extend larger down trend for 1.0397 projection target next. However, sustained break of 1.0981 will indicate stronger rebound is underway back towards 1.1496 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend form 1.2555 (2018 high) should have resumed. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.2555 to 1.0777 from 1.1496 at 1.0397. This level is close to 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1496 resistance is needed to indicate medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1372; (P) 1.1413; (R1) 1.1475; More…..

Despite today’s rebound, EUR/USD is staying below 1.1485 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.1485 resistance will revive the case of near term reversal, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1621 resistance first. Break will target 1.1814 key resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1270 will, instead, revive the bearish case that down trend from 1.2555 is still in progress. Bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.1186 key fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0864; (P) 1.0894; (R1) 1.0951; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays mildly on the downside at this point. Pull back from 1.0980 has possibly completed at 1.0834, after drawing support from 55 D EMA. Firm break of 1.0980 resistance will resume the rise from 1.0694. On the downside, sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0861) will argue that rebound from 1.0694 has completed and bring retest of this low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1921; (P) 1.1996 (R1) 1.2046; More

Retreat from 1.2069 extends lower today and deeper fall could be seen to 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.1866). But downside should be contained well above 1.1661 support to bring rise resumption. Above 1.2069 will extend the whole rally from 1.0339 to 61.8% projection of 1.1118 to 1.1908 from 1.1661 at 1.2149 first. Break there will target 100% projection at 1.2451 next.

In the bigger picture, an important bottom was formed at 1.0339 on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Sustained trading above 55 month EMA (now at 1.1768) will pave the way to key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. While rise from 1.0339 is strong, there is no confirmation that it’s developing into a long term up trend yet. Hence, we’ll be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside. For now, medium term outlook will remain bullish as long as 1.1295 support holds, in case of pull back.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9816; (P) 0.9906; (R1) 0.9976; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 0.9734 minor support will suggest rejection by 55 day EMA, and medium term falling channel. Bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9534 low and then resume down trend. Nevertheless, considering bullish convergence condition in daily MACD, sustained break of 55 day EMA (now at 1.0019) will raise the chance of medium term bottoming at 0.9534. Further rally should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.1494 to 0.9534 at 1.0283.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, break of 1.0197 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish even with strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1704; (P) 1.1754 (R1) 1.1848; More

EUR/USD rises to as high as 1.1804 so far and intraday bias remains on the upside for 1.1836 resistance. Correction from 1.2091 has completed at 1.1553 already. Break of 1.1836 will pave the way to retest 1.2091 high. On the downside, below 1.1689 resistance turned support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1553 low instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be cautious on 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1346) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rally is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1687; (P) 1.1716; (R1) 1.1772; More…..

EUR/USD breached 1.1752 resistance briefly but couldn’t sustain above there. Intraday bias stays neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 1.1612 will extend the fall from 1.2011 short term top to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485. However, firm break of 1.1752 will suggest that the corrective pull back has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.2011.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1113; (P) 1.1144; (R1) 1.1175; More…..

EUR/USD is staying in consolidation above 1.1111 temporary low. Intraday bias stays neutral for the moment. Upside of recovery should be limited well below 1.1324 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.1111 will extend down trend to 100% projection of 1.1448 to 1.1183 from 1.1324 at 1.1059. Break will target 161.8% projection at 1.0895.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has just resumed. 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186 was also taken out. Current fall should now target 78.6% retracement at 1.0813. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the downside, break of 1.1448 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1280; (P) 1.1302; (R1) 1.1339; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias remains neutral first. Downside breakout is mildly in favor with 1.1382 minor resistance intact. On the downside, break of 1.1185 will resume larger fall from 1.2348. Next target is 161.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1663 from 1.1908 at 1.0934. On the upside, however, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1462).

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1749; (P) 1.1777; (R1) 1.1824; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside at this point. Rebound from 1.1705 short term bottom is in progress for 1.1907 resistance. Firm break there will suggest that fall from 1.2265, as well as consolidation pattern from 1.2348, have completed. Near term outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2265/2348 resistance zone. However, below 1.1705 will turn focus back to 1.1602/1703 key support zone again.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally remains in favors long as 1.1602 support holds, to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.
