EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0616; (P) 1.0644; (R1) 1.0673; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, sustained break of 1.0609/34 cluster support will carry larger bearish implication. Fall from 1.1274 should then target 1.0515 support next. Nevertheless, strong rebound from current level, followed by break of 1.0767 resistance, should confirm short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 1.0944 resistance.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Strong support could be seen from 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609) to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. However, sustained break of 1.0609/0634 will raise the chance of bearish trend reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 1.0199.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0550; (P) 1.0590 (R1) 1.0616; More…..

EUR/USD drops sharply today but stays above 1.0493 so far. Intraday bias remains neutral with bearish outlook. With 1.0678 minor resistance intact, deeper decline is still expected. We’re viewing fall from 1.0828 as resuming the larger down trend. Below 1.0493 will target 1.0339 low first. Break will confirm our bearish view and target parity. However, break of 1.0678 will dampen our view and turn focus back to 1.0828 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1794; (P) 1.1821 (R1) 1.1866; More….

EUR/USD is stills staying below 1.1862 resistance and intraday bias remains neutral despite of the recovery. On the upside, above 1.1862 will revive near term bullishness. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1960 resistance first. However, decisive break of 1.1712 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 1.1553 to 1.1960 at 1.1708) should confirm completion of rebound from 1.1553 at 1.1960. And in that case, deeper fall should be seen through 1.1553 to extend the medium term decline from 1.2091.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1435) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0692; (P) 1.0745; (R1) 1.0781 More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside at this point. Fall from 1.1032 short term top is correcting whole rise from 0.9534, and should target 1.0482 support, which is close to 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0463. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.1032 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rise is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0333; (P) 1.0412 (R1) 1.0484; More…..

Prior breach of 1.0351 support suggests down trend resumption. Intraday bias in EUR/USD is now on the downside. Current down trend should target parity next. Meanwhile, above 1.0489 minor resistance will turn bias neutral again. In that case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0562 resistance holds. However, break of 1.0652 will now confirm short term bottoming and turn near term outlook bullish for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, break of 1.0461 key support indicates that consolidation from there has completed as a triangle at 1.1298. And, the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is resuming. Current downtrend is now expected to target 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1184 extended lower last week and the development suggests that corrective rebound from 1.0805 has completed. Initial bias remains on the downside this week first. Break of 1.0805 will resume larger down trend. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0758, and then 100% projection at 1.0495. On the upside, above 1.0987 minor resistance will mix up the outlook and bring recovery.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1494 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extending term range trading first.

In the long term picture, in any case, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 holds, the down trend from 1.6039 could still resume through 1.0339 low. However, sustained trading above 1.2516 will argue that the long term trend has reversed.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1714; (P) 1.1736 (R1) 1.1759; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as pull back from 1.1860 continues. Near term outlook remains cautiously bullish with 1.1677 support intact. As noted before, corrective fall from 1.2091 has completed at 1.1553 already, ahead of 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510. Above 1.1860 will turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.2091 high. However, break of 1.1677 will dampen this bullish view and turn focus back to 1.1553 low instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be cautious on 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.1373) will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1198; (P) 1.1274; (R1) 1.1312; More

Outlook in EUR/USD remains unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral. Further decline will remain in favor as long as 1.1382 resistance holds. Break of 1.1185 will resume larger decline from 1.2348. Next target is 161.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1663 from 1.1908 at 1.0934. On the upside, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1426).

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

The firm break of 1.1862 minor resistance suggests that pull back from 1.1960 has completed at 1.1717 already. More importantly, 1.1712 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 1.1553 to 1.1960 at 1.1708) remains intact. And near term outlook in EUR/USD stays bullish. In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. As long as 1.1120 support turned resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.1494 is still expected to continue. On the downside, firm break of 61.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1120 from 1.1494 at 1.0786 will pave they way to 100% projection at 1.0349 next. However, strong break of 1.1120 will confirm short term bottoming, at least, and bring stronger rebound back towards 1.1494 structural resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1494 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extend range trading first.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0788; (P) 1.0836; (R1) 1.0870; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for now. Rejection by 4 hour 55 EMA is a sign of weakness. Focus in now on 1.0768 support. Break there will extend the decline from 1.1147 to retest 1.0635 low. On the upside, above 1.0990 will extend the corrective pattern from 1.0635 with another rebound. But upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 1.2222 minor resistance will extend the rebound form 1.2052 to retest 1.2348 high. On the downside, however, firm break of 1.2052 support will extend the correction from 1.2348. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.2348 at 1.1887.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1616; (P) 1.1668 (R1) 1.1702; More…..

EUR/USD’s break of 1.1628 minor support suggests that rebound from 1.1507 has completed at 1.1720 already. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for 1.1507 first. Break will resume whole fall from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186. On the upside, above 1.1720 will bring another recovery. But still, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1353; (P) 1.1424; (R1) 1.1513; More

EUR/USD formed a temporary top at 1.1496 after failing to sustain above 1.1456 fibonacci resistance. Intraday bias is turned neutral first some consolidations first. Further rise is in favor as long as 1.1095 support holds. Sustained break of 1.1496 will pave the way to next fibonacci level at 1.1876. However, break of 1.1096 will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0777 low.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should have formed at 1.0777 after drawing support from 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0777 at 1.1456 will raise the chance of medium term bullish reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1876. Rejection by 1.1456 will suggests that price actions from 1.0777 are merely a correction. Another fall below 1.0777 low would be seen at a later stage in this case.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1470; (P) 1.1507; (R1) 1.1550; More…..

EUR/USD is staying in consolidation above 1.1463 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral. Further recovery could be seen but upside should be limited below 1.1623 resistance to bring another decline. On the downside, break of 1.1463 will extend the fall from 1.1814 to retest 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD recovered to 1.1172 last week but reversed and dropped sharply from there. The development suggests that a head and shoulder top could be formed (ls: 1.1199, h: 1.1239, rs: 1.1172. Focus is now on 1.1085 support this week. Break there will argue that whole corrective rise from 1.0879 has completed. In this case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.0981 support for confirmation. On the upside, above 1.1172 will turn bias to the upside for 1.1239 instead.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move at this point. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.

In the long term picture, outlook remains bearish for now. EUR/USD is held below decade long trend line that started from 1.6039 (2008 high). It was also rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 before. A break of 1.0039 low will remain in favor as long as 55 month EMA (now at 1.1538) holds.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.
