EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1216; (P) 1.1286; (R1) 1.1359; More

EUR/USD surges to as high as 1.1496 so far and breaches 1.1456 fibonacci resistance. There is no sign of topping yet. Intraday bias remains on the upside. Sustained break of 1.1456 will pave the way to next fibonacci level at 1.1876. On the downside, below 1.1287 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first and bring retreat first.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should have formed at 1.0777 after drawing support from 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0777 at 1.1456 will raise the chance of medium term bullish reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1876. Rejection by 1.1456 will suggests that price actions from 1.0777 are merely a correction. Another fall below 1.0777 low would be seen at a later stage in this case.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD rebounded to 1.1920 last week but failed to extend gain and retreated sharply. Initial bias is neutral this week first. On the upside, break of 1.1920 will reaffirm the case that consolidation from 1.2011 has completed at 1.1602. Further rise would be seen to retest 1.2011 high. However, break of 1.1745 support will turn bias to the downside to extend the consolidation with another falling leg.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

In the long term picture, the strong break of 55 month EMA is taken as a sign of long term trend reversal. Immediate focus will be on decade long trend line resistance (now at 1.1576). Sustained trading above there will add more credence to the case that down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) has finished at 1.0339. Further break of 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ) will confirm and target 61.8% retracement at 1.3862 and above.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0739; (P) 1.0793; (R1) 1.0829; More

EUR/USD recovers mildly in early US session. But intraday bias stays on the downside with 1.0885 minor resistance intact. Current fall from 1.1147 would target a test on 1.0635 low next. On the upside, break of 1.0885 minor resistance could extend the consolidation from 1.0635 with another rise. But upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD fell further to 1.0722 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week for more consolidations. While stronger recovery cannot be ruled out, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0896 resistance holds. On the downside, sustained break of 1.0722 will argue that whole rise from 1.0447 has completed. Deeper fall would then be seen to target this low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0722 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

In the long term picture, a long term bottom is in place at 0.9534 on bullish convergence condition in M MACD. It’s still early to call for bullish trend reversal with the pair staying inside falling channel in the monthly chart. Nevertheless, sustained trading above 55 M EMA (now at 1.1059) and break of 1.1274 resistance will raise the chance of reversal and target 1.2348 resistance for confirmation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1742; (P) 1.1785; (R1) 1.1808; More….

Outlook in EUR/USD is unchanged and intraday bias stays on the downside. Further fall would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1694 and possibly below. But we’d expect strong support from 1.1062 to contain downside to complete the correction from 1.2348. Though, break of 1.1988 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside even in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s down trend resumed last week and dropped to 0.9899. But it then turned into consolidation. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Upside of recovery should be limited by 1.0121 minor resistance to bring another fall. Break of 0.9899 will resume larger down trend to 61.8% projection of 1.0773 to 0.9951 from 1.0368 at 0.9860. Firm break there should prompt downside acceleration to 100% projection at 0.9546. However, firm break of 1.0121 will dampen this view and turn focus to 1.0368 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0368 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

In the long term picture, long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is extending. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0638 support turned resistance holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dropped sharply to 1.1176 last week and breach of 1.1215 low indicates resumption of down trend from 1.2555. As a temporary low is formed, initial bias is neutral this week for some consolidations first. Upside of recovery should be limited below 1.1419 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.1176 will target 100% projection of 1.1814 to 1.1215 from 1.1569 at 1.0970 next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress. Bearishness is affirmed by sustained trading below falling 55 week EMA. 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 is met. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1569 resistance will now indicate completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Firm break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 should at least bring a retest on 1.0339 low. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1569 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2290; (P) 1.2334 (R1) 1.2370; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as this point, as it drew support from 1.2302 and recovered. On the upside, above 1.2396 will extend the rise from 1.2214 to 1.2475 and then 1.2555. 1.2516/55 is the key resistance zone to determine larger outlook. On the downside, below 1.2302 will turn bias to the downside for 1.2214 support first. And firm break there will revive the case of rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci level and turn outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862 in medium term.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1637; (P) 1.1662 (R1) 1.1712; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside for 1.1790 resistance or above. But price actions from 1.1507 are seen as a corrective pattern. hence, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1612 will bring retest of 1.1507 low first. Decisive break there will resume larger fall from 1.2555. In that case, EUR/USD should drop through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2261; (P) 1.2324 (R1) 1.2364; More….

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. Price actions from 1.2445 is a corrective pattern in form of falling wedge. And, it might be completed at 1.2238 already. Further rise should be seen to 1.2445 first. Break will resume whole rebound from 1.2154 and target 1.2555 high, which is close to 1.2516 key long term fibonacci level. On the downside, however, firm break of 1.2238 will turn bias back to the downside, to resume the fall from 1.2555 through 1.2154.

However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Despite the rally attempt, EUR/USD staying below 1.2363 minor resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Break of 1.2363 should extend the rebound from 1.2154 to retest 1.2555 high. Firm break there will carry larger bullish implication. On the downside, break of 1.2154 would revive the case of rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci level and trend reversal. Outlook will be turned bearish for 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708.

However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s recovery from 1.1183 extended higher last week. Despite weak upside momentum, further rise is expected this week with 1.1250 minor support intact. Rebound from 1.1183 could target 1.1448 resistance next. In that case, we’d expect strong resistance between 1.1448/1569 to limit upside. On the downside, below 1.1250 minor support will turn bias to the downside. Decisive break of 1.1176 will resume the down trend from 1.2555.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD has been losing downside momentum around 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. But for now, there is no clear sign of medium term reversal yet. Downside from 1.2555 is expected to resume sooner or later as long as 1.1569 structural resistance holds. Decisive break of 1.1186. could pave the way back to 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s fall last week suggests that recovery from 1.1612 has completed at 1.1830. More importantly, corrective decline from 1.2011 might not be finished yet. But as a temporary low was in place at 1.1688, initial bias is neutral this week first. On the downside, break of 1.1688 will target 1.1612 support. Break will confirm this case and target 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485. On the upside, break of 1.1771 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1830 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

In the long term picture, the strong break of 55 month EMA is taken as a sign of long term trend reversal. Immediate focus will be on decade long trend line resistance (now at 1.1647).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1917; (P) 1.1946; (R1) 1.1966; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 1.1846 will resume the fall from 1.2265, as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.2348, to 1.1703 support. On the upside, sustained break of 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.1967) will bring stronger rise back to 1.2265 resistance instead.

Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1574; (P) 1.1591; (R1) 1.1612; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further decline is in favor as long as 1.1615 minor resistance holds. Break of 1.1512 will extend the pattern from 1.2348 to 61.8% projection of 1.1908 to 1.1523 from 1.1691 at 1.1453. Break will pave the way to 100% projection at 1.1306. On the upside, though, above 1.1615 minor resistance will dampen the bearish case and turn bias back to the upside for 1.1691 resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.2348 should at least be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low). As long as 1.1908 resistance holds, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289. Nevertheless break of 1.1908 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.2348 high.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1312; (P) 1.1332; (R1) 1.1342; More…..

EUR/USD’s decline extends today and breaks 1.1289 support. The development suggests that corrective pattern from 1.1215 has completed already. Further decline should be seen through 1.1215 low to 1.1186 fibonacci level. On the upside, break of 1.1350 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD edged lower to 1.1183 but recovered ahead of 1.1176 low. Initial bias remains neutral this week for some more consolidation first. As long as 1.1273 minor resistance holds, further decline is in favor. On the downside, decisive break of 1.1176 will resume the down trend from 1.2555. On the upside, however, break of 1.1273 support turned resistance will indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1448 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term weakness was revived as the weak rebound from 1.1176 was rejected well below 55 week EMA and failed to sustain above 55 day EMA. Focus is back on 1.1176 low, with 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.2555. Such decline target 1.0339 low next. On the upside, firm break of 1.1569 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, downside breakout will be in favor.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1311; (P) 1.1340; (R1) 1.1365; More….

EUR/USD’s accelerates to as low as 1.1240 so far. Break of 1.1300 key support confirms resumption of whole decline trend from 1.2555. Intraday bias stays on the downside for 1.1186 fibonacci level first. Break will target 61.8% projection of 1.2555 to 1.1300 from 1.1814 at 1.1038 next. On the upside, above 1.1330 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But recovery should be limited below 1.1499 resistance to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top has just resumed and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 resistance is now needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1274 continued last week and broke through 1.0832 support. Initial bias stays on the downside this week for 1.0609/34 cluster support next. On the upside, break of 1.0929 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to bring rebound. Yet, medium term outlook will be neutral for now, as long as 1.1274 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, focus stays on 55 M EMA (now at 1.1124). Rejection by this EMA will revive long term bearishness. However, sustained break above here will be affirm the case of long term bullish reversal and target 1.2348 resistance for confirmation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2338; (P) 1.2375 (R1) 1.2404; More….

NO change in EUR/USD’s outlook and intraday bias stays neutral despite the dip in early US session. On the upside, break of 1.2445 will target a test on 1.2555 high. Decisive break there will resume medium term rally and carry larger bullish implication. But again, break of 1.2268 will argue that fall from 1.2555 is resuming. And intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.2154 support and below.

However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.
