EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1569; (P) 1.1603; (R1) 1.1664; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside for 1.1733 and possibly above. And again, we’d expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, firm break of 1.1529 will indicate completion of the corrective rebound from 1.1300. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0752; (P) 1.0820; (R1) 1.0947; More

With 1.0824 minor support intact, intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the upside despite current retreat. Rise from 1.0447 should extend to 61.8% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0958 next. On the downside, below 1.0824 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first. But downside should be contained well above 1.0655 support to bring another rally.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. However, break of 1.0447 will resume the fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9543 to 1.1274 at 1.0199.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0460; (P) 1.0496; (R1) 1.0540; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. Consolidation continues above 1.0447. Outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.0616 resistance holds. Break of 1.0477 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0199 fibonacci level next. Nevertheless, firm break of 1.06161 will confirm short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top could still be a correction to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). But chance of a complete trend reversal is rising. In either case, current fall should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 next. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 D EMA (now at 1.0759) holds, in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0531; (P) 1.0556; (R1) 1.0595; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. On the downside, firm break of 1.0522 support will argue that larger fall from 1.1274 is resumed to ready. Intraday bias will be back on the downside for 1.0447 first, and then 1.0199 fibonacci level. On the other hand, strong bounce from current level, followed by break above 1.0693, will extend the rebound from 1.0447 to 1.0764 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0763).

For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 D EMA (now at 1.0665) holds, in case of rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1467; (P) 1.1600; (R1) 1.1845; More

Break of 1.1664 resistance confirmed resumption of rise from 1.0351. Intraday bias in GBP/USD is back on the upside. Further rally would be seen to 61.8% projection of 1.0351 to 1.1494 from 1.1145 at 1.1851. break there will target 100% projection at 1.2288. On the downside, below 1.1332 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 1.0351 is a medium term bottoming. Rise from there is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.4248 (2021 high). Further rise is expected as long as 1.1145 support holds. Firm break of 1.1759 support turned resistance will confirm this case, and target 55 week EMA (now at 1.2330), as possibly above.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1269; (P) 1.1319; (R1) 1.1358; More

EUR/USD recovered ahead of 1.1265 minor support. Intraday bias remains neutral and further rise is still mildly in favor. On the upside break of 1.1482 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.1120 at 1.1589 next. Sustained break there will argue that whole fall from 1.2348 has completed too and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1879. On the downside, however, break of 1.1265 support will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 1.1120 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1613) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

EUR/USD is still bounded in range of 1.0805/1120 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further decline is still expected with 1.1120 support turned resistance intact. On the downside, firm break of 61.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1120 from 1.1494 at 1.0786 will pave they way to 100% projection at 1.0349 next. However, strong break of 1.1120 will confirm short term bottoming, at least, and bring stronger rebound back towards 1.1494 structural resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1494 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extend range trading first.

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside for the moment. Decisive break of 1.0339 long term support will carry larger bearish implication and target 161.8% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0069. On the upside, break of 1.0641 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, break of medium term channel support suggests downside acceleration. Current decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is probably resuming long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Retest of 1.0339 (2017 low) low should be seen next. Decisive break there will confirm this bearish case. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0805 support turned resistance holds.

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias stays neutral. On the downside, break of 1.0911 will resume the decline from 1.1274 to 1.0832 support. Sustained trading below there will target 1.0609/34 cluster support. However, firm break of 1.1046 minor resistance will argue that pull back from 1.1274 has completed, and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0966) will bring deeper correction to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation.

EUR/USD dips notably in early US session but it’s staying in tight range of 1.1723/1814. Intraday bias stays neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 1.1723 minor support will suggest rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.1525 support. However, sustained break of 1.1779 will pave the way to 100% projection of 1.1300 to 1.1733 from 1.1525 at 1.1958.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen.
