EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1849; (P) 1.1865; (R1) 1.1878; More

EUR/USD was rejected by 4 hour 55 EMA but stays above 1.1806 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Further fall is still in favor as long as 1.1974 resistance holds. Break of 1.1806 will resume the decline from 1.2265, as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.2348, to 1.1703 support. On the upside, break of 1.1974 resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.2265 resistance.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dropped sharply to 1.1105 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Further fall is still in favor as long as 1.1287 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, sustained break of 1.1120 will confirm resumption of larger down trend from 1.2348. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1120 from 1.1494 at 1.0786. However, firm break of 1.1287 will dampen this bearish view and turn bias back to the upside for 1.1494 resistance.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1582) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

In the long term picture, in another case, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 holds, the down trend from 1.6039 could still resume through 1.0339 low. However, sustained trading above 1.2516 will argue that the long term trend has reversed.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.0777 accelerated to as high as 1.1053 last week. Such rise is seen as correcting the fall from 1.1239 to 1.0777. Hence, we’d expect strong resistance from 61.8% retracement of 1.1239 to 1.0777 at 1.1063 to limit upside. On the downside, break of 1.0931 will turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.0777 low. However, sustained break of 1.1063 will raise the chance of larger reversal and target 1.1239 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has just resumed and prior rejection by 55 week EMA affirms medium term bearishness. Sustained break of 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.0813 will pave the way to retest 1.0339 low. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

In the long term picture, outlook remains bearish for now. EUR/USD is held below decade long trend line that started from 1.6039 (2008 high). It was also rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 before. A break of 1.0039 low will remain in favor as long as 55 month EMA (now at 1.1512) holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2232; (P) 1.2261 (R1) 1.2308; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. But as long as 1.2344 minor resistance holds, further decline is expected. Break of 1.2214 will target 1.2154 key support first. Firm break there should confirm rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci resistance. In that case, whole decline from 1.2555 should target 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 next. However, break of 1.2344 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.2475 and above to extend recent range trading.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862 in medium term.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1646; (P) 1.1673 (R1) 1.1691; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as it’s staying in familiar range. The consolidation from 1.1509 could still extend. But in case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, decisive break of 1.1507 low will resume larger down trend from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0449; (P) 1.0500; (R1) 1.0556; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral as range trading continues. Considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.0427 minor support will indicate short term topping at 1.0594, after rejection by 1.0609 fibonacci level. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.0222 support and possibly below. Nevertheless, firm break of 1.0594 will resume larger rally from 0.9534.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom was in place at 0.9534, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Even as a corrective rise, rally from 0.9534 should target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.0609. Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0557) will raise the chance of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1273. However, rejection by 1.0609 will retain medium term bearishness for down trend resumption at a later stage.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s decline extended to as low as 1.1966 last week. While downside momentum has been diminishing, there is no sign of bottoming yet. Initial bias remains on the downside this week for 200% projection of 1.2475 to 1.2214 from 1.2413 at 1.1891. Break will target 261.8% projection at 1.1730. On the upside, though, break of 1.2008 minor resistance will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound back to 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.2077) or above.

In the bigger picture, current decline and firm break of 1.2154 support confirms rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. A medium term top should be in place at 1.2555 and deeper decline would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708 first. With current downside acceleration, there is prospect of hitting 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 before completing the decline. But still, we’ll need to look at the structure to before deciding if it’s a corrective or impulsive move.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Focus will now turn to 1.1553 support. Break there would raise the chance of retesting 1.0339 low. It’s early to tell, but the chance of long term bullish reversal is fading.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1130; (P) 1.1159; (R1) 1.1210; More…..

EUR/USD breached 1.1111 to 1.1107 but recovered strongly since then. The development suggests that consolidation from 1.1111 is extending and intraday bias remains neutral first. While further rise cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1263 resistance to bring down trend resumption eventually. ON the downside, firm break of 1.1107 will resume the larger down trend from 1.2555. Next target will be 100% projection of 1.1448 to 1.1183 from 1.1324 at 1.1059. However, sustained break of 1.1263 resistance will now and early sign of trend reversal and turn bias to the upside for 1.1448 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is still in progress. Such decline would target 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.0813 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1448 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1726; (P) 1.1771; (R1) 1.1832; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and more sideway trading could be seen. Outlook stays bullish with 1.1695 support intact. Break of 1.1916 will resume whole rise form 1.0635. However, on the downside, firm break of 1.1695 should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside towards 55 day EMA (now at 1.1467).

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise form 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD edged lower to 1.0777 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias is neutral this week for some consolidations. Upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.1095 to 1.0777 at 1.0898. On the downside, break of 1.0777 will resume larger down trend.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1806; (P) 1.1836; (R1) 1.1882; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and more consolidation could be seen. Still, as long as 1.1762 support holds, another rise is in favor and break of 1.2011 will will resume the whole rise from 1.0635. However, firm break of 1.1762 will confirm short term topping and turn bias to the downside for deeper pull back, to 55 day EMA (now at 1.1632) and below.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0844; (P) 1.0874; (R1) 1.0894; More

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1094 short term top resumed after brief consolidations. Intraday bias is back on the downside. Current fall is seen as correcting whole up trend from 0.9534. Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0515 cluster support, 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1094 at 1.0498. On the upside, above 1.0903 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0515 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) would still extend higher. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next (2021 high).

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2236; (P) 1.2285 (R1) 1.2318; More….

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. With 1.2344 minor resistance intact, deeper fall should be seen to 1.2238 first. Break will target 1.2154 and below. Such development would confirm the rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci resistance and pave the way to 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708. However, break of 1.2344 minor resistance will dampen this bearish case and turn bias back to the upside for 1.2475 resistance instead.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s strong rebound last week argues that a medium term bottom could be in place at 1.1120, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Initial bias stays on the upside this week. Break of 1.1482 resistance will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.1120 at 1.1589 next. Sustained break there will argue that whole fall from 1.2348 has completed too and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1879. On the downside, break of 1.1329 minor support will mix up the outlook and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1613) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

In the long term picture, in another case, as long as (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 holds, the down trend from 1.6039 could still resume through 1.0339 low. However, sustained trading above 1.2516 will argue that the long term trend has reversed.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.1176 continued last week despite lost of upside momentum. No change in the view that it’s a corrective move. Hence, in case of another rise, upside should be limited below 1.1419 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, below 1.1277 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 1.1176 low first. Break of 1.1176 will target 100% projection of 1.1814 to 1.1215 from 1.1569 at 1.0970 next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress. Bearishness is affirmed by sustained trading below falling 55 week EMA. 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 is met. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1569 resistance will now indicate completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Firm break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 should at least bring a retest on 1.0339 low. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1569 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD fell further to 1.0759 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. But deeper decline is expected as long as 1.0903 resistance holds. Fall from 1.1094 is seen as correcting whole up trend form 0.9534. Below 1.0759 will target 1.0515 cluster support, 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1094 at 1.0498. On the upside, though, firm break of 1.0903 will bring stronger rebound back to retest 1.1094 high instead.

In the long term picture, focus is now on 55 M EMA (now at 1.1156). Rejection by this EMA will revive long term bearishness. However, sustained break above here will be affirm the case of long term bullish reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD stayed in consolidation below 1.1916 last week. Initial bias stays neutral this week and further rise is in favor as long as 1.1695 support holds. On the upside, break of 1.1916 will extend larger rally from 1.0635. However, firm break of 1.1695 should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside towards 55 day EMA (now at 1.1480).

In the long term picture, the strong break of 55 month EMA is taken as a sign of long term trend reversal. Immediate focus will be on decade long trend line resistance (now at 1.1700). Sustained trading above there will add more credence to the case that down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) has finished at 1.0339. Further break of 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ) will confirm and target 61.8% retracement at 1.3862 and above.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s decline from 1.2011 accelerates to as low as 1.1612 last week. The development suggests that it’s now in correction to whole rise from 1.0635. Deeper fall is expected this week as long as 1.1760 resistance holds, to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485. As it’s seen as a corrective move, strong support should be seen at 1.1485 to contain downside to bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.1760 will turn intraday bias back to the upside for retesting 1.2011 instead. However, sustained break of 1.1485 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.1161.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2274; (P) 1.2329 (R1) 1.2358; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading continues. On the upside, break of 1.2445 will target a test on 1.2555 high. Decisive break there will resume medium term rally and carry larger bullish implication. But again, break of 1.2268 will argue that fall from 1.2555 is resuming. And intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.2154 support and below.

However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.
