EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0850; (P) 1.0888; (R1) 1.0910; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside at this point. Current down trend should now target 161.8% projection of 1.1172 to 1.0992 from 1.1095 at 1.0804 next. On the upside, above 1.0925 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first. But recovery should be limited by 1.0992 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, the break of 1.0879 low indicates resumption of whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained break of 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.0813 will pave the way to retest 1.0339 low. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1047; (P) 1.1077; (R1) 1.1115; More

EUR/USD falls sharply after rejection by 1.1146 resistance and immediate focus is now on 1.1011 resistance turned support. Decisive break there will argue that larger correction is underway. Deeper fall would then be seen to 1.0832 support next. Nevertheless, rebound from current level, followed by firm break of 1.1146, will bring retest of 1.1274 high instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9534 is still expected to continue as long as 1.1011 resistance turned support holds. Decisive break of 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 will solidify the case of bullish trend reversal and target 1.2348 resistance next. However, firm break of 1.1011 will indicate rejection by 1.1273 and raise the chance of reversal. Deeper fall would be seen back to 1.0634 support first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0821; (P) 1.0849; (R1) 1.0866; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is back on the downside with break of 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0814). Deeper fall would be seen to retest 1.0694/0723 support zone On the upside, break of 1.0875 will resume the rebound from 1.0723 towards 1.0980 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1762; (P) 1.1784; (R1) 1.1815; More

EUR/USD is still losing downside momentum, as displayed in 4 hour MACD. Nevertheless, further decline is expected with 1.1880 resistance intact. Current fall from from 1.2265, as the third leg of correction from 1.2348, would target 1.1703 support. On the upside, though, break of 1.1880 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound to 1.1974 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1611; (P) 1.1665 (R1) 1.1712; More…..

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.1509 extends higher today. But after all it’s seen as a correction. Hence, in case of further rally, we’d expect strong resistance from 1.1822/1995 resistance zone to limit upside and bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, below 1.1617 minor support will bring retest of 1.1509 low first. Break will resume the decline from 1.2555 and target 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 1.1186 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2085; (P) 1.2115; (R1) 1.2148; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading continues. On the upside, break of 1.2168 will resume the rebound form 1.1951 for retesting 1.2348 high. on the downside, break of 1.1951 will extend the correction from 1.2348 with another fall.

We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0789; (P) 1.0820; (R1) 1.0850; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading consolidations. Corrective pattern from 1.0635 could extend further. On the upside, above 1.0895 minor resistance will turn bias to the upside for 1.1019 resistance. But overall, upside should be limited by 61.8% retracement of 1.1496 to 1.0635 at 1.1167. On the downside, break of 1.0727 will target a test on 1.0635 low.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1496 resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) should still be in progress. Next target is 1.0339 (2017 low). However, sustained break of 1.1496 will argue that such down trend has completed. Rise from 1.0635 could then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. In this case, outlook will be turned bullish for retesting 1.2555.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1110; (P) 1.1134; (R1) 1.1149; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as consolidation fro 1.1179 is extending. Downside of retreat should be contained by 1.1602 support to bring another rally. On the upside, break of 1.1179 will resume the rally from 1.0879 to 1.1412 key resistance next. However, break of 1.1062 will turn focus back to 1.0879 low instead.

In the bigger picture, at this point, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move first. Hence, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1290; (P) 1.1341; (R1) 1.1417; More…..

EUR/USD rebounded strongly after hitting 1.1267 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. Focus is now on 1.1472 resistance. Decisive break there will complete a head and shoulder bottom pattern (ls: 1.1302; h: 1.1215; rs: 1.1267). That will indicate near term reversal and bring stronger rise back to 1.1814 resistance. On the downside, below 1.1267 will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1215 low.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 resistance is now needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1519; (P) 1.1584; (R1) 1.1619; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point, with focus on 1.1529 support. Break there will indicate completion of the rebound and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. On the upside, in case of another rise, strong resistance should be seen at 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt. Overall, price actions from 1.1300 are forming a corrective pattern, that could extend for a while before completion.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0820; (P) 1.0838; (R1) 1.0865; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside at this point. Fall from 1.1138 is in progress to 1.0722 support first. Decisive break there will argue that whole rise from 1.0447 has completed, and target this low. However, on the upside, break of 1.0931 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound instead.

Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0722 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1392; (P) 1.1421; (R1) 1.1445; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral and outlook is unchanged. A medium term bottom could be in place at 1.1120, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Break of 1.1482 resistance will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.1120 at 1.1589 next. Sustained break there will argue that whole fall from 1.2348 has completed too and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1879. On the down, however, break of 1.1265 support will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 1.1120 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1613) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0593; (P) 1.0642; (R1) 1.0719; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays mildly on the upside for the moment. Corrective decline from 1.1032 should have completed with three waves down to 1.0532 already. Further rise should be seen to 1.0803 resistance first. Firm break there will pave the way to retest 1.1032 high. For now, risk will stay mildly on the upside as long as 1.0532 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0482 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) should continue to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. However, sustained break of 1.0482 will bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0106, even as a corrective pull back.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1265; (P) 1.1306; (R1) 1.1333; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias remains neutral. Downside breakout is mildly in favor with 1.1382 minor resistance intact. On the downside, break of 1.1185 will resume larger fall from 1.2348. Next target is 161.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1663 from 1.1908 at 1.0934. On the upside, however, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1462).

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1734; (P) 1.1758; (R1) 1.1783; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as consolidation continues below 1.1807 temporary top. Another rise is still in favor with 1.1695 support intact. Break of 1.1807 will resume the rebound from 1.1612 to retest 1.2011 high. On the downside, break of 1.1695 will likely resume the correction from 1.2011 to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0558; (P) 1.0616; (R1) 1.0654; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. Fall from 1.1032 could still extend lower. But strong support is expected from 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0463 to bring rebound. Break of 1.0690 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0803 resistance first. However, sustained break of 1.0463 will carry larger bearish implication and bring deeper decline.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0973; (P) 1.0995; (R1) 1.1026; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral first and further decline is in favor. On the downside, break of 1.0911 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0832 support. Sustained trading below there will target 1.0609/34 cluster support. However, firm break of 1.1046 minor resistance will argue that pull back from 1.1274 has completed, and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0966) will bring deeper correction to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1351; (P) 1.1387; (R1) 1.1452; More…..

No change in EUR/USD’s outlook. While recovery from 1.1215 might extend, it’s seen as a corrective move. Hence, upside should be limited by 1.1499 resistance. On the downside, below 1.1321 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 1.1215 and then 1.1186. However, firm break of 1.1499 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for 1.1814 resistance again.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top has just resumed and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the upside, break of 1.1814 resistance is now needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0601; (P) 1.0640; (R1) 1.0707; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral again as it retreated notably today after hitting 55 D EMA (now at 1.0684). On the upside, above 1.0693 will resume the rebound to 1.0764 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0763). On the downside, break of 1.0522 support will retain near term bearishness for resuming the whole decline from 1.1274 through 1.0447 next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1274 medium term top could still be a correction to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). But chance of a complete trend reversal is rising. In either case, current fall should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 next. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 D EMA (now at 1.0684) holds, in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1932; (P) 1.1988; (R1) 1.2017; More

EUR/USD recovers after hitting 1.1951 and is now back above medium term channel support. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.2052 support turned resistance will argue that fall from 1.2348 has completed. That would also revive near term bullishness and turn bias back to the upside for 1.2188 resistance first. On the downside, break of 1.1951 will extend the fall to 100% projection of 1.2348 to 1.2052 from 1.2188 at 1.1892 first. Break will target 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1694.

We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.
