EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 135.76; (P) 136.38; (R1) 136.73; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral as range trading continues. On the upside, break of 138.38 resistance will resume the rebound from 133.38 towards 142.31 resistance. On the downside, break of 134.93 will turn bias back to the downside for 133.38 support. Overall, corrective pattern from 144.26 could extend further with more choppy trading.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 109.30 (2016 low). Further rally is in favor as long as 134.11 resistance turned support holds, even in case of deep pull back. Next target is 149.76 (2015 high). However, sustained break of 134.11 will be a sign of medium term bearish reversal and turn focus to 124.37 support for confirmation.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 120.00; (P) 120.58; (R1) 121.62; More….

Outlook in EUR/JPY remains unchanged and intraday bias stays neutral with focus on 121.39 resistance. Consolidation from 115.86 could extend with another rise. On the upside, break of 121.39 will target 122.87 resistance. On the downside, sustained break of 115.86 will indicate larger down trend resumption.

In the bigger picture, outlook remains bearish as the cross is staying well inside falling channel established since 137.49 (2018 high). As long as 122.87 resistance holds, the down trend should resume sooner or later to 114.84 support next. However, sustained break of 122.87 will complete a double bottom (115.86, 116.12) which could indicate medium term bullish reversal.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY edged higher to 130.65 last week but retreated since then. Breach of 129.47 support indicates short term topping, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Initial bias is mildly on the downside this week for pull back. But downside should be contained above 127.48 resistance turned support to bring rise resumption. But for now, risk will stay mildly on the downside as long as 130.65 holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 125.07 support holds. Next target is 137.49 (2018 high).

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Another rising leg in progress for 137.49 resistance and above.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 132.52; (P) 133.15; (R1) 133.79; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for the moment. Deeper fall is still expected with 134.79 resistance intact. Decisive break of 132.04 cluster support (23.6% retracement of 114.84 to 137.49 at 132.14) will indicate larger trend reversal on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD. In such case, outlook will be turned bearish for 38.2% retracement at 128.38 first. Nonetheless, rebound from 132.04 will retain near term bullishness. Break of 134.79 minor resistance will bring retest of 137.49 high instead.

In the bigger picture, bearish divergence condition in week EMA indicates lost up medium term up trend momentum. But there is no clear sign of completion of up trend from 109.03 yet. Break of 137.49 will target 141.04/149.76 resistance zone. However, sustained break of 132.04 will be the early sign of long term reversal and should bring deeper fall back to retest 124.08 key support level.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 120.30; (P) 120.50; (R1) 120.63; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral for consolidation below 121.18 temporary top. We’re holding on to the view that corrective fall from 124.08 has completed at 118.23 already, after defending 118.45 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 109.20 to 124.08 at 118.39). Decisive break of 121.32 resistance should confirm this case and target 124.08 high next. However, break of 119.45 support should invalidate this bullish view and would likely extend the fall from 124.08 through 118.23.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 109.20 medium term bottom are seen as part of a medium term corrective pattern from 149.76. Strong rebound from 118.45 resistance turned support suggests that it’s still in progress. Break of 124.08 will target 126.09 key resistance level. We’d be cautious on strong resistance there to limit upside. However, sustained break there will be a strong sign of medium term momentum and could target 141.04 resistance next.

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, firm break of 121.39 will reaffirm the strong support from 115.86, and pave the way back to 112.87 resistance next.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 140.70; (P) 141.54; (R1) 142.87; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral at this point. Further decline is mildly in favor. Break of 137.37 will resume the whole fall from 148.38 to 135.40 fibonacci level. On the upside, however, break of 142.84 will argue that the correction from 148.38 has completed at 137.37 already. Further rise would be seen to 146.71 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, as long as 55 week EMA (now at 138.87) holds, larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is still in progress for 149.76 long term resistance. However, firm break of 55 week EMA will bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 114.42 to 148.38 at 135.40. Sustained break there will raise the chance of trend reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 127.39.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 131.15; (P) 131.67; (R1) 131.96; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for some consolidation below 132.35 temporary top. Downside of retreat should be contained well above 129.57 support to bring rise resumption. On the up side, break of 132.35 will target 100% projection of 114.42 to 127.07 from 121.63 at 134.28.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 127.07 resistance turned support holds. Next target is 137.49 (2018 high). Decisive break there will open up the possibility that it’s indeed resuming the up trend from 94.11 (2012 low).

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 116.30; (P) 116.55; (R1) 116.76; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains on the downside. Current decline should target 114.84 medium term support next. On the upside, break of 117.91 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 137.49 (2018 high) is still in progress. It’s seen as a falling leg of multi-year sideway pattern. Deeper fall could be seen to 109.48 (2016 low and below). On the upside, break of 123.35 resistance is needed to the first sign medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 120.14; (P) 120.69; (R1) 121.02; More…

EUR/JPY is staying in consolidation from 120.05 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Another recovery could be seen. But outlook remains bearish as long as 122.32 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 120.05 will resume the decline from 127.50 for retesting 118.62 low. Though, break of 122.32 would indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound to 123.35 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 137.49 is still in progress with the cross staying well inside long term falling channel, and below falling 55 week EMA. Break of 118.62 will extend the fall to 109.48 (2016 low). On the upside, break of 127.50 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY dropped to 119.77 last week but turned into consolidation. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and another recovery cannot be ruled out. But upside should be limited below 121.26 minor resistance to bring fall resumption. As noted before, corrective rise from 115.86 should be completed at 122.87, on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD. On the downside, break of 122.87 will pave the way to retest 115.86 low.

In the bigger picture, EUR/JPY is still staying in the falling channel established since 137.49 (2018 high). Thus, outlook remains bearish. Rise from 115.86 is seen as a corrective rise, which might have completed. Firm break of 115.86 will resume the down trend to 114.84 support next.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Fall from 137.49 is seen as a falling leg inside the pattern. This falling leg would target 109.48 (2016 low). With EUR/JPY staying below 55 month EMA (now at 125.58), this is the preferred case.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 162.79; (P) 163.15; (R1) 163.77; More

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral first. Corrective pattern from 163.70 could extend further. Break of 161.67 minor support should push the cross through channel support (now at 161.35) to 38.2% retracement of 153.15 to 163.70 at 159.66. Nevertheless, firm break of 163.70 will resume whole rally from 153.15 to retest 164.29 high.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 164.29 medium term top are seen as a correction to rise from 139.05 only. As long as 148.38 resistance turned support holds (2022 high), larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is expected to resume through 164.29 at a later stage. Next target would be 169.96 (2008 high).

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 171.60; (P) 171.89; (R1) 172.38; More

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains on the upside as up trend continues. Next target is 100% projection of 164.01 to 170.87 from 167.52 at 174.38. On the downside, below 171.37 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another rally.

In the bigger picture, strong support from 55 D EMA indicates that the long term up trend is still in progress. Decisive break of 171.58 will confirm resumption and target 100% projection of 139.05 to 164.29 from 153.15 at 178.38. For now outlook will stay bullish as long as 164.01 support holds, even in case of deep pullback.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 157.64; (P) 158.29; (R1) 158.87; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral as it’s still bounded in range below 159.90. Further rise is in favor as long as 157.67 support holds. Above 159.90 will resume larger up trend to 163.06 projection level. However, firm break of 157.67 will turn bias back to the downside 154.32 support instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 (2020 low) is in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 124.37 to 148.38 from 139.05 at 163.06. On the downside, break of 154.32 support is needed to be the first sign of medium term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish even in case of deep pullback.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 117.62; (P) 117.99; (R1) 118.55; More…

EUR/JPY recovered after forming a temporary low at 117.42 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. Some consolidations would be seen but upside should be limited by 119.31 support turned resistance and bring another decline. Current development suggests that medium term rise from 109.20 has completed at 124.08 already. Below 117.42 will target 61.8% retracement of 109.20 to 124.08 at 114.88 next. Nonetheless, sustained break of 119.31 will turn focus back to 120.43 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 38.2% retracement of 109.20 to 124.08 at 118.39 indicates that medium term rise from 109.20 is completed at 124.08. That’s well below 126.09 key support turned resistance. Also, EUR/JPY failed to sustain above 55 week EMA. Deeper decline would now be seen back to 109.20 low. Overall, the down trend from 149.76 (2014 high) is not completed yet. Break of 109.20 will resume such down trend towards 94.11 low. In any case, break of 126.09 is needed needed to confirm medium term reversal.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 141.87; (P) 142.37; (R1) 142.75; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, decisive break of 142.84 will argue that the correction from 148.38 has completed at 137.37 already. Further rise would be seen to 146.71 resistance next. On the downside, firm break of 155.33 will resume the whole decline from 148.38 to 135.40 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, as long as 55 week EMA (now at 138.82) holds, larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is still in progress for 149.76 long term resistance. However, firm break of 55 week EMA will bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 114.42 to 148.38 at 135.40. Sustained break there will raise the chance of trend reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 127.39.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY was bounded in consolidation in range of 131.16/134.48 last week. Such consolidation might extend further. But further rise will be expected as long as 131.16 support holds. Decisive break of 134.48 will resume medium term rise from 114.84 and target 141.04 resistance next. However, sustained break of 131.16 support will now indicate near term trend reversal and turn outlook bearish for 127.55 key support.

In the bigger picture, medium term rise from 109.03 (2016 low) is seen as at the same degree as the down trend from 149.76 (2014 high) to 109.03 (2016 low). Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 149.76 to 109.03 at 134.20 will pave the way to key long term resistance zone at 141.04/149.76. However, break of 127.55 support will suggest medium term topping and will turn outlook bearish for deeper fall back to 114.84/124.08 support zone at least.

In the long term picture, at this point, there is no clear indication that rise from 109.03 is resuming that from 94.11 (2012 low). Hence, we’d be cautious on topping below 149.76 to extend range trading. Nonetheless, firm break of 149.76 will indicates strong underlying buying. In such case, EUR/JPY will target 100% projection of 94.11 to 149.76 from 109.03 at 164.68.

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains on the upside for 100% projection of 114.42 to 127.07 from 121.63 at 134.28. Sustained break there will extend the up trend from 114.42 to 137.49 long term resistance next. On the downside, break of 132.51 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 130.65 resistance turned support holds. Next target is 137.49 (2018 high). Decisive break there will open up the possibility that it’s indeed resuming the up trend from 94.11 (2012 low).

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 123.85; (P) 124.26; (R1) 124.61; More….

EUR/JPY formed at temporary top at 125.13, after failing to sustain above 125.00 resistance, and retreated. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. Further rise is expected as long as 123.18 minor support holds. Correction from 127.07 could have completed with three waves down to 121.63. Break of 125.13 should bring retest of 127.07 high. On the downside, though, break of 123.18 minor support would extend the correction with another fall through 121.63.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 119.31 support holds. Break of 127.07 will target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 (2018 high) to 114.42 at 128.67 next. However, firm break of 119.31 will argue that the rise from 114.42 has completed and turn focus back to this low.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 119.24; (P) 119.48; (R1) 119.77; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY is turned neutral with 4 hour MACD crossed below signal line. Some retreat could be seen, but downside should be contained above 117.07 support to bring another rally. On the upside, break of 120.01 resistance will resume the rise from 115.86 for 100% projection of 115.86 to 120.01 from 117.07 at 121.16 first.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that a medium term bottom is formed at 115.86, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD, ahead of 114.84 support. Break of 120.78 support turned resistance will affirm this case and bring further rise to falling channel resistance (now at 126.10). Reactions from there would decide whether the medium term has reversed. For now, further rise is expected as long as 117.07 support holds.
