EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 137.17; (P) 137.55; (R1) 138.02; More….

EUR/JPY’s rebound from 133.38 is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the upside. Sustained trading above 55 day EMA (now at 138.48) will suggest that whole correction from 144.26 has completed. Further rally would then be seen back to retest 144.26 high. However, break of 135.63 will turn bias back to the downside for 133.38 low instead.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 109.30 (2016 low). Further rally is in favor as long as 134.11 resistance turned support holds, even in case of deep pull back. Next target is 149.76 (2015 high). However, sustained break of 134.11 will be a sign of medium term bearish reversal and turn focus to 124.37 support for confirmation.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 123.83; (P) 124.13; (R1) 124.41; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral as the consolidation from 125.80 is still extending. In case of another fall, downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 114.84 to 125.80 at 121.61 to bring rebound and then rise resumption. On the upside, decisive break of 126.09 resistance will extend the whole rebound from 109.03 to 100% projection of 109.03 to 124.08 from 114.84 at 129.89.

In the bigger picture, focus is staying on 126.09 support turned resistance. Decisive break there will confirm completion of the down trend from 149.76. And in such case, rise from 109.20 is at the same degree and should target 141.04 resistance and above. Meanwhile, rejection from 126.09 and break of 114.84 will extend the fall from 149.76 through 109.20 low.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY was rejected by falling 4 hour 55 EMA last week and weakened again. Yet, downside was contained by 129.60 support. Initial bias remains neutral first. Corrective fall from 134.11 could extend lower. But we’d expect strong support from 38.2% retracement of 121.63 to 134.11 at 129.34 to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 131.07 resistance will indicate short term bottoming, and bring stronger rebound back to 132.68 resistance first. However, firm break of 129.34 will bring deeper fall back to 127.07 resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Next target is 137.49 (2018 high). Decisive break there will open up the possibility that it’s indeed resuming the up trend from 94.11 (2012 low). For now, outlook will stay bullish as long as 127.07 resistance turned support holds, in case of pull back.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Another rising leg in progress for 137.49 resistance and above.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 163.54; (P) 163.88; (R1) 164.43; More

EUR/JPY is staying in consolidation from 165.33 and intraday bias remains neutral. Downside of current retreat should be contained by 55 4H EMA (now at 163.41) to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 165.33 will resume larger up trend to 61.8% projection of 153.15 to 163.70 from 160.20 at 166.71. However, sustained break of 55 4H EMA will turn bias to the downside for deeper fall to 160.20 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current rally is part of the up trend from 114.42 (2020 low), which is still in progress. Next target is 169.96 (2008 high). Break of 160.20 support is needed to be the first sign of medium term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of retreat.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY stayed in tight range below 125.09 last week and initial bias stays neutral this week first. But based on overall development in yen crosses, EUR/JPY’s rebound from 118.62 will likely turn out to be stronger than expected. On the upside, break of 125.09 will bring further rise to 55 day EMA (now at 126.75) and above. On the downside, break of 123.40 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 118.62 low instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term rebound from 109.03 (2016 low) has completed at 137.49 already, with corrective structure. Fall from 137.39 is possibly just the second leg of the corrective pattern from 109.03. Break of 133.12 resistance should start the third leg to 137.49 and above. Nevertheless, break of 118.62 will resume the down trend from 137.49 for 109.03/114.84 support zone instead.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Fall from 137.49 is seen as a falling leg inside the pattern. It could extend through 109.03 to resume the decline from 149.76 But in that case, we’d expect strong support around 94.11 (2012 low) to bring reversal.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 144.14; (P) 144.65; (R1) 145.17; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral first. Break of 142.52 support will extend the decline from 148.38, to 61.8% retracement of 133.38 to 148.38 at 139.11. On the upside, though, above 146.12 minor resistance will bring stronger rally back to retest 148.38 high instead.

In the bigger picture, there is no clear sign of medium term topping yet. Up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) could still resume through 148.38 to 149.76 (2014 high). However, break of 137.32 support argue that a medium term correction has already started to correct the whole up trend from 114.42.

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for consolidation above 117.67 low. In case of stronger recovery, upside should be limited by 120.05 support turned resistance fall resumption. On the downside, break of 117.67 will resume recent down trend to 114.84 support next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 137.49 is still in progress. It’s seen as a falling leg of multi-year sideway pattern. Deeper fall could be seen to 109.48 (2016 low and below). On the upside, break of 127.50 resistance is needed to be the confirm medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/JPY’s rebound from 124.89 extended higher and breached 126.98 resistance. But there is no follow through rally yet. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. As long as 126.98 minor resistance holds, deeper fall could still be seen. But considering mild bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, downside should be contained by 124.08/61 key support zone to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 126.98 will indicate short term bottoming and turn bias back to upside for stronger rebound to 55 day EMA (now at 128.88).

In the bigger picture, focus is back on 124.08 key resistance turned support. Decisive break there will argue that whole rise from 109.03 (2016 low) has completed at 137.49. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 109.03 to 137.49 at 119.90 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to 109.03 and below. Meanwhile, rebound from 124.08 will keep medium term bullishness intact for another high above 137.49.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 142.27; (P) 143.18; (R1) 143.92; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY is turned neutral with current retreat. On the upside, firm break of 145.62 resistance will resume larger up trend. However, break of 140.77 minor support will turn bias back to the downside, to extend the corrective pattern from 145.62 with another falling leg.

In the bigger picture, as long as 133.38 support holds, the up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) could still extend through 145.62 high. In that case, next target is 149.76 (2015 high). However, sustained break of 133.38 will be a sign of medium term bearish reversal and bring deeper fall to 124.37 support first.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 131.98; (P) 132.35; (R1) 132.66; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral and range trading continues. As long as 131.16 support holds, further rise is mildly in favor. Decisive break of 134.48 will resume medium term rise from 114.84 and target 141.04 resistance next. However, sustained break of 131.16 support will now indicate near term trend reversal and turn outlook bearish for 127.55 key support.

In the bigger picture, medium term rise from 109.03 (2016 low) is seen as at the same degree as the down trend from 149.76 (2014 high) to 109.03 (2016 low). Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 149.76 to 109.03 at 134.20 will pave the way to key long term resistance zone at 141.04/149.76. However, break of 127.55 support will suggest medium term topping and will turn outlook bearish for deeper fall back to 114.84/124.08 support zone at least.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY’s rise from 146.12 continued last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 151.60 resistance. Firm break there will resume larger up trend to 153.64 projection level. On the downside, however, break of 148.83 will extend the corrective pattern from 151.60 with another falling leg, back towards 146.12 support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 (2020 low) is in progress. Next target is 61.8% projection of 124.37 to 148.38 from 138.81 at 153.64. Sustained break there will pave the way to 100% projection at 162.82. For now, medium term outlook will remain bullish as long as 139.05 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

In the long term picture, break of 149.76 (2014 high) argues that whole up trend form 94.11 (2012 low) is resuming. Sustained trading above 149.76 will pave the way to 100% projection of 94.11 to 149.76 from 109.03 at 164.68, which is close to 169.96 (2008 high).

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 114.11; (P) 114.86; (R1) 115.29; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains on the downside at this point. Break of 100% projection of 122.87 to 116.12 from 121.14 at114.39 will pave the way to 161.8% projection at 100.21. On the upside, above 115.44 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 117.77 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, there is no clear indication of trend reversal yet, with the cross staying well inside falling channel. Fall from 137.49 (2018 high) is still in progress for 109.48 (2016 low). Also, in any case, outlook will remain bearish as long as 122.87 resistance holds, in case of another rebound.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY extended the consolidation from 153.15 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and further decline is expected. On the downside, break of 153.15 will resume whole fall from 164.39 to 61.8% retracement of 139.05 to 164.29 at 148.69.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 164.29 medium term top are tentatively seen as a correction to rise from 139.05 for now. As long as 148.48 resistance turned support holds (2022 high), larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) could still resume through 164.29 at a later stage.

In the long term picture, rise from 109.03 (2016 low) is seen as the third leg of the whole up trend from 94.11 (2012 low). Next target is 100% projection of 94.11 to 149.76 from 114.42 at 170.07 which is close to 169.96 (2008 high). This will remain the favored case as long as 148.48 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY dropped sharply to 124.09 last week but formed a temporary low there and recovered. Initial bias is neutral this week for some consolidations first. Current development suggests corrective pattern from 127.50 is extending with fall from 126.79 as the third leg. Upside of recovery from 124.09 should be limited by 125.28 resistance to bring another fall. On the downside, below 124.09 will target 123.65 support. Nevertheless, break of 125.28 will turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, there is no confirmation of completion of the down trend from 137.49 (2018 high) yet. In case of an extension, break of 118.62 will target 109.03/114.84 long term support zone. However, break of 127.50 will solidify the case of medium term bullish reversal. Further decisive break medium term channel resistance will affirm reversal and target 133.12 key resistance and above.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Fall from 137.49 is seen as a falling leg inside the pattern. Break of 118.62 will extend this falling leg through 109.03 low. On the upside, break of 133.12 resistance bring retest of 149.76 (2014 high).

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY stayed in consolidation from 121.46 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out. But downside should be contained by 119.11 support. On the upside break of 121.46 will resume the rise from 115.86 to 123.35 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that a medium term bottom is formed at 115.86, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD, ahead of 114.84 support. Decisive of 120.78 support turned resistance will affirm this case and bring further rise to falling channel resistance (now at 125.38). Reactions from there would decide whether the medium term trend has reversed. For now, further rise is expected as long as 117.07 support holds.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Fall from 137.49 is seen as a falling leg inside the pattern. This falling leg would target 109.48 (2016 low). With EUR/JPY staying below 55 month EMA (now at 125.93), this is the preferred case.

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for consolidation below 126.75 temporary top. Downside of retreat should be contained above 124.31 support to bring another rally. On the upside, break of 126.75 will target 100% projection of 114.42 to 124.43 from 119.31 at 129.32. Nevertheless, break of 124.31 will indicate short term topping and turn bias to the downside for pull back.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 137.49 (2018 high) could have completed at 114.42 already. Rise from 114.42 would target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 to 114.42 at 128.67 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to 137.49 (2018 high). This will remain the preferred case for now, as long as 55 day EMA (now at 122.54) holds. However, sustained break of 55 day EMA will revive medium term bearishness for another low below 114.42 at a later stage.

Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 158.28; (P) 159.28; (R1) 159.98; More

Immediate focus is now on 158.55 support in EUR/JPY. Sustained break there will argue that rebound from 153.15 has completed at 161.84 already. Fall from there is then seen as the third leg of the pattern from 164.29 high. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 155.06 support next. On the upside, above 160.25 minor resistance will retain near term bullishness, and bring retest of 161.84 first.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 164.29 medium term top are seen as a correction to rise from 139.05 only. As long as 148.48 resistance turned support holds (2022 high), larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is expected to resume through 164.29 at a later stage.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 122.96; (P) 123.49; (R1) 123.95; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for the moment. Further fall is in favor with 124.31 minor resistance intact. On the downside, sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 114.42 to 127.07 at 122.23 will extend the fall from 127.07. Next target is 61.8% retracement at 119.25, which is close to 119.31 key support. However, on the upside, firm break of 124.31 will argue that the pull back from 127.07 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting this high.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 119.31 support holds. Break of 127.07 will target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 (2018 high) to 114.42 at 128.67 next. However, firm break of 119.31 will argue that the rise from 114.42 has completed and turn focus back to this low.
