Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral at this point. On the upside, above 158.55 will resume the rebound from 153.15 through 55 D EMA (now at 158.82). On the downside, break of 153.15 will resume whole fall from 164.39 to 61.8% retracement of 139.05 to 164.29 at 148.69.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 164.29 medium term top are tentatively seen as a correction to rise from 139.05 for now. As long as 148.48 resistance turned support holds (2022 high), larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) could still resume through 164.29 at a later stage.

EUR/JPY’s break of 123.01 support suggests that corrective decline from 127.07 is resuming. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 38.2% retracement of 114.42 to 127.07 at 122.23. Firm break there will confirm this case and target 61.8% retracement at 119.25, which is close to 119.31 key support. On the upside, break of 125.08 resistance is needed to confirm completion of the correction. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 119.31 support holds. Break of 127.07 will target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 (2018 high) to 114.42 at 128.67 next. However, firm break of 119.31 will argue that the rise from 114.42 has completed and turn focus back to this low.

EUR/JPY’s rebound from 132.32 resumed by breaking 144.06 resistance. Intraday bias is back on the upside for retesting 145.62 high. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend. For now, further rally will remain in favor as long as 140.88 support intact, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, as long as 133.38 support holds, the up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) could still extend through 145.62 high. In that case, next target is 149.76 (2015 high). However, sustained break of 133.38 will be a sign of medium term bearish reversal and bring deeper fall to 124.37 support first.

EUR/JPY’s consolidation from 127.49 is still in progress and intraday bias remains neutral. On the downside, break of 127.49 will target 126.63 support first. Break there will then resume the whole decline from 133.12 to 124.08/89 support zone. And, even in case of recovery, outlook will stay bearish as long as 130.14 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, as long as 124.08 key resistance turn supported holds, larger up trend from 109.03 (2016 low) could still resume. Firm break of 137.49 structural resistance will target 141.04/149.76 resistance zone next. However, decisive break of 124.08 will argue that such rise from 109.03 has completed and turn outlook bearish. In that case, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 109.03 to 137.49 at 119.90.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 123.35; (P) 124.10; (R1) 124.82; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral at this point, and outlook is unchanged. For now, we’d still expect strong resistance around 124.61 to complete the rebound from 118.62 low. Larger decline is expected to resume afterwards. Break of 123.40 will affirm our view and turn bias back to the downside for retesting 118.62 low first. However, sustained break of 124.61 will dampen our view and extend the rebound to 127.09 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, medium term rebound from 109.03 (2016 low) has completed at 137.49 already, with corrective structure. Fall from 137.39 is seen as a medium term fall, resuming the decline from 149.76 (2014 high). Such decline should break through 109.03 low next. This will remain the preferred case as long as 124.61 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 124.61 will mix up the outlook and we’ll reassess on the final structure of the rebound from 118.62.

Range trading continues in EUR/JPY and intraday bias remains neutral. Deeper decline will remain in favor as long as 158.64 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 156.57 support, and sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 157.02) will argue that fall from 159.75 is a larger scale correction. Deeper decline would be seen back towards 151.39 support. Nevertheless, above 158.64 would bring retest of 159.75 high instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 151.39 support holds, rise from 114.42 (2020 low) is still expected to continue. Next target is 100% projection of 124.37 to 148.38 from 139.05 at 163.06. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest long term resistance at 169.96.

In the bigger picture, current rally is part of the up trend from 114.42 (2020 low), which is still in progress. Next target is 169.96 (2008 high). Break of 160.20 support is needed to be the first sign of medium term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of retreat.

EUR/JPY’s rise from 133.38 resumed after brief consolidations. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 142.31 resistance first. In the bigger picture, up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 109.30 (2016 low). Further rally is in favor as long as 134.11 resistance turned support holds, even in case of deep pull back. Next target is 149.76 (2015 high). However, sustained break of 134.11 will be a sign of medium term bearish reversal and turn focus to 124.37 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 (2020 low) is in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 124.37 to 148.38 from 139.05 at 163.06. No change in EUR/JPY’s outlook as 130.49 minor resistance remains intact. Further fall is expected in the cross. Decline fro 1132.12 will target 127.85 support first. Break there will pave the way to retest 124.89. On the upside, though, above 130.49 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 133.12 instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that EUR/JPY could have defended key support level of 124.08 key resistance turned support. And, the larger up trend from 109.03 (2016 low) is still in progress. Firm break of 137.49 structural resistance will target 141.04/149.76 resistance zone next. This will now be the preferred case as long as 127.85 near term support holds.

EUR/JPY’s recovery from 120.78 extends higher today but we’d still see it as a correction. Thus, intraday bias remains neutral and upside should be limited below 123.73 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 120.78 will resume the fall from 127.50 and target 118.62 low next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 137.49 is still in progress with the cross staying inside long term falling channel. Break of 118.62 will extend the fall to 109.48 (2016 low). On the upside, break of 123.73 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of strong rebound.

EUR/JPY’s fall from 122.88 resumed by breaking 120.65 and reaches as low as 120.43 so far. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 120.01 support. Overall, price actions from 124.08 are seen as a consolidation pattern. Strong support is expected from 118.45 (38.2% retracement of 109.20 to 124.08 at 118.39) to contain downside and bring rebound. Above 121.83 minor resistance will turn bias to the upside for 122.88 and then 124.08.

In the bigger picture, we’re holding on to the view that medium term rise from 109.20 is still in progress. Focus is on 126.09 key resistance level. Sustained break will confirm completion of the whole decline from 149.76. And rise from 109.20 is of the same degree as the fall from 149.76. In such case, further rally would be seen to 104.04 resistance and possibly above before topping. Meanwhile, rejection from 126.09, or firm break of 118.45 cluster support, will likely extend the fall from 149.76 through 109.20 low.

Despite a rather strong rebound, upside was limited below 129.25 minor resistance. Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral first and deeper fall is expected. As noted before, rebound from 124.61 could have completed with three waves up to 131.97 already. Below 128.49 will target 127.13 support for confirmation. Overall, near term risk will stay on the downside as long as 131.13 resistance holds, even in case of stronger than expected rebound.

In the bigger picture, for now, EUR/JPY is still holding above 124.08 key support turned resistance. And the larger rise from 109.03 (2016 low) mildly in favor to resume. Break of 133.47 should send the cross through 137.49 high. However, decisive break of 124.08 will confirm medium term reversal and could then pave the way back to 109.03 low and below.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

EUR/JPY is staying in consolidation from 129.96 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise is expected with 127.48 support intact. However, firm break of 127.48 will turn bias to the downside, for deeper decline to 125.07 support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 125.07 support holds. Sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 137.49 (2018 high) to 114.42 at 128.67 will pave the way to 137.49 resistance next.

EUR/JPY is losing some upside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD. But further rise remains in favor with 129.25 minor support intact. Whole consolidation from 134.11 could have completed with three waves down to 127.36, ahead of 126.58 medium term fibonacci level. Further rally would be seen to retest 133.44/134.11 resistance zone. On the downside, however, break of 129.25 minor support will dampen this bullish view and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 114.42 (2020 low) to 134.11 at 126.58 holds, up trend from 114.42 is still in favor to continue. Break of 134.11 will target long term resistance at 137.49 (2018 high). However, sustained break of 126.58 will raise the chance of medium term bearish reversal. In this case, deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement at 121.94, and possibly below.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 128.06; (P) 128.38; (R1) 128.98; More….

Focus is now on 128.94 support turned resistance. Decisive break there will argue that fall from 137.49 has completed 124.61, ahead of 124.08 key support level. The three wave structure will indicate it’s a correction and the larger rally is not completed. In that case, further rise should be seen to 133.47 resistance next. On the downside, below 127.17 minor support will indicate rejection from 128.94 and bring retest of 124.61 first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 124.08 resistance turned support holds, medium term rise from 109.03 (2016 low) is still in progress and another high above 137.49 would be seen. Nonetheless, considering bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, decisive break of 124.08 will confirm medium term reversal and target 61.8% retracement of 109.03 to 137.49 at 119.90 and below.

Sustained break there will indicate that fall from 163.70 is reversing whole rise from 153.13, and target 61.8% retracement at 157.18. On the upside, though, above 162.16 minor resistance will retain near term bullishness, and bring retest of 163.70.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 164.29 medium term top are seen as a correction to rise from 139.05 which could still be extending. As long as 148.38 resistance turned support holds (2022 high), larger up trend from 114.42 (2020 low) is expected to resume through 164.29 at a later stage. Next target would be 169.96 (2008 high).
