EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8549; (P) 0.8561; (R1) 0.8574; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains mildly on the downside. Deeper fall would be seen to retest 0.8491 low. Firm break there will resume larger down trend. On the upside, above 0.8609 minor resistance will bring another rebound. But in any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.8667 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 0.9267 (2022 high) is seen as part of the long term range pattern from 0.9499 (2020 high). Further decline is in favor as long as 0.8667 resistance holds. Break of 0.8491 will resume the fall towards 0.8201 (2022 low).

EUR/GBP Weekly Outlook

EUR/GBP rebounded strongly to 0.9083 last week but retreated since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Current development suggests that pull back from 0.9291 has completed at 0.8861. Rise from 0.8670 might be ready to resume. On the upside, above 0.9083 will target a test on 0.9291 resistance next. However, break of 0.8861 will turn near term outlook bearish for 0.8670 instead.

In the bigger picture, at this point, we’re seeing the price actions from 0.9499 as developing into a corrective pattern. That is, up trend from 0.6935 (2015 low) would resume at a later stage. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.8276 support holds. Decisive break of 0.9499 will target 0.9799 (2008 high).

In the long term picture, rise from 0.6935 (2015 low) is still in progress. It could be resuming long term up trend from 0.5680 (2000 low). Break of 0.9799 (2008 high) is expected down the road, as long as 0.8276 support holds.

EUR/GBP Weekly Outlook

EUR/GBP stayed in consolidation above 0.8575 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week for some consolidations first. Upside of recovery should be limited by 0.8811 resistance. On the downside, break of 0.8575 will resume the fall from 0.9324 and target 100% projection of 0.9324 to 0.8786 from 0.9019 at 0.8481, which is close to 0.8472 key support.

In the bigger picture, we’re now seeing 0.9324 as a medium term top on bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD. Price actions from there should develop into a corrective pattern. Deeper fall should be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9324 at 0.8411 but strong support should be seen there, at least on first attempt, to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9324 is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside even in case of strong rebound.

In the long term picture, rise from 0.6935 (2015 low) could either be resuming the up trend from 0.5680 (2000 low). Or it’s just the second leg of the consolidation pattern from 0.9799 (2008 high). Eventual structure of the pull back from 0.9324 should reveal which case it should be.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8528; (P) 0.8541; (R1) 0.8557; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment and outlook stays bearish. On the downside, firm break of 0.8517 will resume the whole decline from 0.8977. Next target will be 61.8% projection of 0.8874 to 0.8517 from 0.8650 at 0.8436. On the upside, above 0.8657 resistance will turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound instead.

In the bigger picture, the down trend from 0.9267 (2022 high) is still in progress. It’s seen as part of the long term range pattern from 0.9499 (2020 high). Deeper fall could be seen towards 0.8201 (2022 low). But strong support should be seen from there to bring reversal. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.8717 support turned resistance holds.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8828; (P) 0.8855; (R1) 0.8881; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral first. Sustained break of 0.8876 will confirm resumption of rise from 0.8545. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 0.9276 to 0.8545 at 0.8997. Meanwhile , outlook will stay bullish as long as 55 day EMA (now at 0.8732) holds, in case of another retreat.

In the bigger picture, outlook is mixed for now as rise from 0.8545 would either be part of the up trend from 0.8201 (2022 low), or just a correction to 0.9267 (2022 high). As long as 55 week EMA (now at 0.8616) holds, the former case is in favor, and break of 0.9267 should be seen next as up trend resumes at a later stage. However, sustained break of 55 week EMA will shift favor to the latter case, for another decline back towards 0.8201.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8472; (P) 0.8485; (R1) 0.8508; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment. Corrective pattern from 0.8276 is probably not completed yet. On the upside, break of 0.8595 will target 38.2% retracement of 0.9324 to 0.8276 at 0.8676. On the downside, break of 0.8386 will bring retest of 0.8276 low instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 0.9324 medium term top is still in progress. As long as 0.8786 support turned resistance holds, further fall is expected to 61.8% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9324 at 0.7848. Nevertheless, break of 0.8786 will argue that fall from 0.9324 has completed and turn focus back to this high.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9128; (P) 0.9175; (R1) 0.9201; More

With 0.9236 minor resistance intact, decline from 0.9305 short term top is expected to extend to 55 day EMA (now at 0.8998). Sustained trading below there will likely start the third leg of the consolidation from 0.9304 and target 0.8303 key support again. On the upside, above 0.9236 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 0.9305 instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. It’s uncertain whether it is finished yet. But in case of another fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.8116 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9304 at 0.8120) to contain downside and bring rebound. Whole up trend from 0.6935 is expected to resume after consolidation from 0.9304 completes. Firm break of 0.9799 high will target 61.8% projection of 0.5680 to 0.9799 from 0.6935 at 1.1054.

EUR/GBP Weekly Outlook

Despite rebounding to 0.8529 last week, EUR/GBP quickly lost momentum and reversed. The development now suggests that fall from 0.8786 could be resuming. And focus is back to 0.8303/12 support zone in near term. Overall, price actions form 0.9304 is seen as a corrective pattern that is extending.

EUR/GBP 4 Hours Chart

Initial bias in EUR/GBP is mildly on the downside this week for 0.8303/12 support zone. Break there will extend the corrective fall from 0.9304 to to 0.8116/20 cluster support. We’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.8461 minor resistance will turn bias to the upside for 0.8529. Break will resume the rebound from 0.8312 and target 0.8786 resistance.

EUR/GBP Daily Chart

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. In case of deeper fall, we’d expect strong support from 0.8116 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9304 at 0.8120) to contain downside. Rise from 0.6935 (2015 low) will resume at a later stage to 0.9799 (2008 high). However, sustained break of 0.8116 could bring deeper decline to next key support level at 0.7564 before the correction completes.

EUR/GBP Weekly Chart

In the long term picture, firstly, price action from 0.9799 (2008 high) is seen as a long term corrective pattern and should have completed at 0.6935 (2015 low). Secondly, rise from 0.6935 is likely resuming up trend from 0.5680 (2000 low). Thirdly, this is supported by the impulsive structure of the rise from 0.6935 to 0.9304. Hence, after the correction from 0.9304 completes, we’d expect another medium term up trend to target 0.9799 high and above.

In the bigger picture, while the pull back from 0.9499 is deep, there is no sign of trend reversal yet. The up trend from 0.6935 (2015 low) should resume at a later stage to 61.8% projection of 0.6935 to 0.9263 from 0.8276 at 0.9715. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.8276 support holds.

EUR/GBP’s fall is still in progress and intraday bias remains on the downside. It’s now in the third leg of the corrective pattern from 0.9499. Deeper decline would be seen to 161.8% projection of 0.9291 to 0.8861 from 0.9229 at 0.8533. We’ll look for bottoming signal around there. On the upside, break of 0.8790 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, we’re seeing the price actions from 0.9499 as developing into a corrective pattern. That is, up trend from 0.6935 (2015 low) would resume at a later stage. In the bigger picture, EUR/GBP is seen as staying in long term range pattern started at 0.9304 (2016 high). Sustained break of 0.8939 resistance will confirm that it’s in a medium term rising leg for 0.9098 and above. EUR/GBP is staying in consolidation from 0.8472 and intraday bias remains neutral. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 0.8722 resistance. On the downside, firm break of 0.8472 will resume larger down trend for 0.8416 long term projection next.
