EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8470; (P) 0.8484; (R1) 0.8508; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral as consolidation pattern from 0.8276 is extending. Rise from 0.8386 might extend to 0.8595 resistance. Break there will target 38.2% retracement of 0.9324 to 0.8276 at 0.8676. On the downside, break of 0.8386 will bring retest of 0.8276 low instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 0.9324 medium term top is still in progress. As long as 0.8786 support turned resistance holds, further fall is expected to 61.8% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9324 at 0.7848. Nevertheless, break of 0.8786 will argue that fall from 0.9324 has completed and turn focus back to this high.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8472; (P) 0.8497; (R1) 0.8528; More

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP stays neural at this point. Fall from 0.8851 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 0.9304. Below 0.8445 will target 0.8303 low first. Break will confirm our view and target 0.8116 key cluster support level. However, on the upside, break of 0.8643 will invalidate our view. In that case, intraday bias will be turned to the upside for 0.8851 to extend the corrective pattern from 0.8303.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out yet. But we’d expect strong support from 0.8116 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9304 at 0.8120) to contain downside. Overall, the corrective pattern would take some time to complete before long term up trend resumes at a later stage. Break of 0.9304 will pave the way to 0.9799 (2008 high).

Break of 0.8474 minor resistance suggests short term bottoming a 0.8401, on bullish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.8509). Sustained break there will target a test on 0.8656 resistance. On the downside, break of 0.8401 will resume larger down trend from 0.9499 to 0.8276 key long term support next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9499 (2020 high) are still seen as developing into a corrective pattern. Deeper fall could be seen as long as 0.8656 resistance holds, towards long term support at 0.8276. However, firm break of 0.8656 resistance would argue that a medium term bottom was already formed. Stronger rise would be seen to 0.8861 support turned resistance to confirm completion of the corrective pattern.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment. Consolidation from 0.8773 could extend. But near term outlook stays bearish as long as 0.8981 cluster resistance holds (38.2% retracement of 0.9305 to 0.8773 at 0.8976). Fall from 0.9305 is seen as the third leg of consolidation pattern from 0.9304. Below 0.8773 will target 61.8% retracement of 0.8312 to 0.9305 at 0.8691 and below. We’ll look for bottoming signal again at it approaches 0.8303 support.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. It’s still in progress with fall from 0.9305 as the third leg. Break of 0.8303 could be seen. But we’d expect strong support from 0.8116 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9304 at 0.8120) to contain downside. Whole up trend from 0.6935 is expected to resume after consolidation from 0.9304 completes.

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8472 to 0.9324 at 0.8797 will extend the fall from 0.9324 towards 0.8472 key support next. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.8894 minor resistance will indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias would then be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.8977).

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 0.9305 (2017 high) suggests that consolidation from there is extending. Breach of 0.8472 cannot be ruled out but downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.6935 (2015 low) to 0.9305 at 0.8400. On the upside, firm break of 0.9327 will confirm up trend resumption.

EUR/GBP is staying in consolidation below 0.8786 and intraday bias remains neutral first. We’d continue to expect strong support from 38.2% retracement of 0.8402 to 0.8786 at 0.8639 to contain downside. Above 0.8786 will target 0.8851 resistance and above. However, price actions from 0.8303 are seen as the second leg of the corrective pattern from 0.9304. Hence, we’d expect strong resistance from 100% projection of 0.8303 to 0.8851 from 0.8402 at 0.8950 to limit upside.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out yet. EUR/GBP is staying in consolidation form 0.8601 temporary top and intraday bias remains neutral. Another rise is in favor with 0.8541 minor support intact. On the upside, above 0.8601 will resume the rebound from 0.8558 to 0.8668 resistance. Firm break there will be a strong sign of near term bullish reversal at least. On the downside, however, break of 0.8541 support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.8448 low instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9499 (2020 high) are still seen as developing into a corrective pattern. Deeper fall could be seen as long as 0.8668 resistance holds, towards long term support at 0.8276. However, firm break of 0.8668 resistance would argue that a medium term bottom was already formed. Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment. Another fall is mildly in favor as long as 0.8866 holds. Below 0.8760 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.8688 first. Break will resume whole decline from 0.9305. However, firm break of 0.8866 resistance will indicate near term reversal and turn bias back to the upside for 0.8981 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways to interpret price actions from 0.9304 high. But after all, firm break of 0.9304/5 is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, range trading will continue with risk of deeper fall. And in that case, EUR/GBP could have a retest on 0.8303. EUR/GBP retreated sharply after edging higher to 0.8752 and intraday bias stays neutral first. In case of deeper retreat, downside should be contained by 55 D EMA (now at 0.8652). Firm break of 0.8752 will resume the whole rise from 0.8491, and target 100% projection of 0.8491 to 0.8704 from 0.8614 at 0.8827 next. However, sustained break of 55 D EMA will argue that whole rebound from 0.8491 has completed, and bring deeper fall to 0.8614 support.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that whole down trend from 0.9267 (2022 high) has completed with three down to to 0.8491. Rise from 0.8491 is seen as another leg inside that pattern from 0.9499 (2020 high). Further rally should be seen to 0.8977 resistance and above. Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral with bearish outlook. Decline from 0.8786 could be developing into the third leg of the whole corrective pattern from 0.9304. And hence, deeper fall is expected ahead. On the downside, break of 0.8483 will turn bias to the downside for 0.8402 support first. Decisive break there should confirm our bearish view and target 0.8303 and below. As fall from 0.9304 is viewed as a corrective move, we’d expect strong support at 0.8116/20 cluster support to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.8604 minor resistance will delay the bearish case. That is, one more recovery will be seen to complete a five wave triangle pattern fro 0.8303 before completion.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. Such decline is likely ready to resume and should make a new low below 0.8303. Below 0.8745 will target 61.8% retracement of 0.8312 to 0.9305 at 0.8691 and below. Fall from 0.9305 is seen as the third leg of consolidation pattern from 0.9304.
